Juventus is far away to be completed, they have only 17 players in the current situation, they have no back up strikers.
They still need to buy at-least 4 players.

Gonna be an hard task for Thiago Motta.

Motta is still trying to put things back in place in the team. He is trying to get to know the team but Juventus' performance in the friendly matches has not been encouraging. They lost 3-0 to Nuremberg, drew 2-2 with Brest and now lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid. If they continue like this, the Scudetto in Serie A will only remain a dream. They need to solve the problem urgently. They experienced too much pain last year and they need to work hard to prevent a repeat.

Juventus's main problem is still remain the same compared to last season. It's on their attacking line. Vlahovic has been the worst of Juventus's players in this game. Vlahovic's first touch is terrible, and his movement to create space is totally woeful. Also, I can't believe he can't shoot or pass in this game. It's making me doubt if he is the right striker for Juventus..
Motta's strategy won't work if he still keeps Vlahovic there. Thuram and Douglas Luiz are gaining my trust because they are performing well in this game. ATM destroyed Juventus. But it made clear a problem remains.

It is likely that there will be fierce competition next season in the fight for the Scudetto and it will be different compared to last season but we also have to see it realistically that among the top Serie A teams that are now starting to rise, only Inter Milan has consistent performance and strength in the last few seasons so it is natural that they are more favored than other teams.

I have the biggest hope from Ac Milan. Juventus have improved their squad but I am still very doubtful about Juventus actually being able to compete closely for that title. Maybe they will be able to finish in the top four. But for the title is going to be a very hard job for Juventus.

Inter Milan will only have difficulty defending the Scudetto if many teams are involved in the competition, last season there were no contestants who were really serious about pressing their dominance in Serie A. Juventus and Milan can probably be relied on in the competition, I'm a little doubtful about Napoli after last season they experienced a rapid decline. Atalanta, Bologna and Roma might be temporary threats at the top of the standings, but it does not rule out the possibility that the Scudetto will be won by a team that is not favored.

Napoli can actually freely rise and become a title challenger, because they do not play in any European competition, but until now Conte has not completed all the transfer plans to build his version of the starting XI. Juventus defeat in their preseason friendly game against Atletico Madrid didn't come as a surprise to me and that's because the club's new manager is still Thiago Motta is trying to find the playing style that'll bring out the best from his players. That being said, I think the club management needs to make few significant signings this summer since they've already listed out some players of the club they'll not want to continue with next season. I think the
quality of the  team is too weak to compete with other top Italian clubs. Thiago Motta with what he did at Bologna has shown that he can manage the best teams in Italy but he's not a magician that will improve a team of average players to conquer more quality players in one season.

Performing poorly in a match like this does not guarantee a big problem when the season starts later. Vlahovic is not a weak player and actually he has very good talent but unfortunately a player like him needs to be able to improve his talent and be able to score more goals.
Juventus did not look too strong last season but getting the top 3 position is proof that Juventus is still a strong team in Serie A. Although the coach has just joined as Juventus coach, I have a little faith that he can make a contribution that can make Juventus perform even better.

It's Motta's first season, and also many new players have joined Juventus. You have to give him more than one season to see what can be delivered by Motta for Juventus. I know it's painful to see Juventus lose in the friendly. But, after watching their game against ATM, they lack everything.

I think it is indeed unfair for Jose Mourinho for 3 seasons Jose Mourinho survived with the players he had and only relied on loan players without being given support from the club to buy the players he wanted while the club demanded the previous coach to be able to perform as well as possible, isn't this not commensurate with what Roma did?
Any great coach will also have difficulty coaching a club if the club itself does not provide support, on the other hand, an ordinary coach is given enough resources, then the coach can build the club as a whole.
