I don't think that Dortmund will be bad this season even though at the start of this season Dortmund was not yet at the top of the standings after playing three matches in the Bundesliga. But Dortmund still has a lot of matches to prove that they are still strong enough in the Bundesliga, even though Dortmund might not be that good in the UCL, but if it's just in the Bundesliga, I think Dortmund still has to be taken into account by its opponents.

You're right though cause I could imagine what their team would had looked like with Haaland and Bellingham still involved in it, even though they didn't win the Champions League, they would've probably won the league title and be very invisible, but consider Dortmund a more business minded team, because they careless about winning trophies and are more focused on buying youngsters across Europe, develop them into future prospects and sell them for huge fee to top clubs when they're fully developed, just like I happened with Sancho, Haaland, Bellingham etc.
 So far they haven't been in their best form and are still struggling to win matches, their performance is not all bad because they're still unbeaten just that they lack the ability to score against their opponents which has made them to draw their last two matches, they still have young talented players in their team and hopefully for them Karim Adeyemi would be the player they'll cash in on next summer.

The Dortmund team moved to ninth place in the points table.  They will certainly want to get back on track and reclaim top spot in the table by picking up full points against freiburg.  But it won't be easy. I wouldn't at all compare Bellingham with Haaland and also not confuse the recent success as a goal scorer with Bellingham being a full mode striker. It could be and it will still take some time to see whether Bellingham can keep going and scoring. But the biggest weapon Dortmund had was Haaland for a while and Bellingham was very good, but he never as decisive as he has now been for Real Madrid. It doesn't happen very often that a player decides a few games in a row in the last few minutes.

The fact that Borussia Dortmund is very good at recruiting talented young players who later goes on to become football superstars shouldn't be the reason why the club management should be their best players every summer and getting huge financial profits as rewards. That particular ideology of the club's heirarchy has really caused them the chances of winning major trophies for the club.

Samuel Bamba is a player from their youth system and after a couple of seasons he can make the leap to a very good level. On the other hand, Karim Adeyemi is one of their good signings. Felix Nmecha, who they signed from Wolfsburg, is also a very good player. They were almost close to overtaking Bayern Munich last season bit failed to win their last match of the season that decided with winners of the league, it ended with a 2-2 draw which killed their opportunity and Bayern Munich surprisingly won the league cup, so far after selling their most talent player for a huge fee to Realmadrid, he team have not been as consistent as the previous season, and it's obvious that Bellingham played an important role in the teams success last season.
 However they still got other young talents that could be up to Jude Bellingham's standard when they get back fully into form and I'm hoping to see a better Dortmund team that's as fierce as they were in the previous season, after the international break, hopefully we'll see Adeyemi or Nmecha playing very brilliantly and becoming the star player like Bellingham was last season.

There's alot of things amazing about Leverkusen. The previous season, they ended up sitting at 6th position on league table, sharing points with Eintracht Frankfurt who were 7th on the table. Bayer Leverkusen keeps improving in every single league game in the 2023/2024 Bundesliga campaign. Xabi Alonso is indeed doing a great job to lift the club to a more heighten level. I have no doubt that the club will do better this season, they already shown the signs and their next game is Bayern Munich which would be a difficult match to predict the winner. Xabi Alonso have good players that he would definitely make good use of, Victor Boniface is an outstanding player and his presence in the frontline means alot for the club.

Last season Leverkusen hasn't have good striker and this is one of their weaknesses and Xabi even has been complaining about this before and indeed last season Leverkusen has Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek but the performance of these players was not what Xabi Alonso expected and Xabi Alonso even have to played Amine Adli as centre striker several times to solved this problem but the results is still dissapoint him because Amine Adli real position as a winger and now after Patrik Schick has long term injured this make Leverkusen have to look for new striker and luckily they were buy Victor Boniface from Union Saint-Gilloise and i think this is successful buy because with the arrival of this player Leverkusen performance were increase rapidly
