I could only imagine what xabi will be feeling like having to experience his second defeat as a Coach at Bayer Leverkusen, something he has experienced only once since he resumed as a coach at Leverkusen and that was at the end of the games in last season,  a final which was almost quite understandable, as for the yesterday's defeat, it was quite unfortunate because Leverkusen took the lead much earlier but couldn't maintain it for the longest to get them still ahead as we would want them to be, nevertheless, this is literally going to serve as an interim for  xabi and he's going to understand the magnitude of this season and probably going to improve on getting his defense to to their form so as not to suffer similar situations again this season because if they do it's going to affect them a long way.

There is no way we can expect the same performance as last season’s performance from Leverkusen team, they didn’t sign any player to give the squad more strength and depth, they only rely their previous players which will be very hard for the team to achieve the great success they attended last season, and they will be playing in the Champions League and other domestic competitions; they need squad depth to achieve success this season. Nevertheless, they can still do well but the probability is low because Bayern Munich, Dortmond, and other teams have learn from their mistakes and will surely make the competition more tough this time.

It was just a matter of time that this will be happend that Leverkusen will lose a game but i was surprised on this one.
They was in front with 1 goal when i was looking at the live ticker and they played at home against Leibzig.

This season I still consider Bayer Leverkusen as a strong candidate for the title but the path will be different, meaning they will not be able to run smoothly like last season. The defeat from Leipzig is proof that other Bundesliga teams have also made changes to their squads so that this season's competition is no longer dominated by just one team. What about Bayern who were previously not considered at all because they were commanded by Kompany? but in reality he was able to manage the team well. I agree that at the beginning of this season it will not guarantee until the end of the season but at least we already know what each team's picture is like this season.

Their striker, Boniface has been really really bad in this game. He was unable to make a proper finish after he got a golden chance. And our defense isn't that good. They play so openly. It lets Leipzig exploit gaps in Leverkusen's defense.



Also, the loss to Leipzig has ruined Xavi Alonso's unbeaten record with his team. I was expecting him to reach Pep or Heynckes level, but it was wrong. That's sad Xabi's unbeaten record must end this fast.

Last season there were some games in which Leverkusen were in a draw situation but in the last minutes of the game Leverkusen managed to score a goal and win the game. This was a sign that the team had some defensive problems but as they had a good attack they were able to compensate. The thing is that a team, no matter how strong it is, is not invincible for long, so the luck that Leverkusen had last season, they will not have the same luck this season. So I expected this type of result. With this defeat of Leverkusen, I see a great chance for Bayern to be champion.

Of course Bayern's chances of winning this match are very big, I don't doubt that at all.

I said earlier that Leverkusen would have a hard time maintaining their unbeaten record from last season because maintaining it is harder than achieving it. Now it's proven, Leverkusen suffered their first defeat of the season. After witnessing the great dominance from Leverkusen last season, our expectations were naturally high this season. But Xabi Alonso seems to have completely failed to live up to the fans' expectations. The Leverkusen team was ahead of Bayern Munich by a big margin of 18 points in the previous season. We saw poor performances from Leverkusen in both matches. Leverkusen was also defeated in the first match against Gladbach. I would say they were very lucky to secure 3 points from the match. Leverkusen's attack is strong this season as well. If Xabi Alonso can strengthen the Leverkusen side's defense then I guess we will see a better performance from Leverkusen. Leverkusen's defenders need to work harder.
