A twist I'm favour of Mainz am sure might not end with just Bayern Munich but onto other team's like Bayern Leverkusen.

Bayern played very badly, maybe they underestimated their opponent, maybe there was some other reason, but their game was very weak, so I was not surprised when Bayern conceded the first goal, but then I still hoped that they would be able to wake up and turn the game around. Then the second goal followed and I realized that Bayern would lose points today, they had a chance to equalize the score, but Mainz's defense did not allow it. And Frankfurt will have a chance to get closer to Bayern to 3 points today if they can beat Leipzig.

Leverkusen has now reduced the point gap with Bayern Munich to four. Bayern Munich experienced a huge surprise with this defeat. Many people thought that Bayern Munich would easily win this match. However, Mainz surprised everyone. This was Bayern Munich's first defeat of the season. I still don't think Bayern Munich can be surpassed until the end of the season. And in the match later, getting three full points is a must to improve Dortmund's position in the standings. because if they manage to destroy Hoffenheim at Signal Iduna Park, then Dornund's position in the standings will automatically go up to fifth position by shifting Wolfsburg with a collection of 21 points, Bremen and Mainz who both collected 22 points, while for Freiburg even though they have a collection of 24 points, but if Dornund can win the match against Hoffenheim, Freiburg's position will be shifted because they only have a small goal difference.

Since Dortmund is a totally different team at home I expect them to bounce back after the recent setbacks and get those 3 points. I mean they already looked good against Barcelona, just got a little bit unlucky and outmatched at the end.
Too bad their injury list got bigger though with Nice Schlotterbeck being out for the next games at least. That's still better than what they feared at first when everybody thought he might have gotten some fractured bone in the match with Barca.

There is still not enough of a point difference to be a threat, but a four-point difference is a gap that can be closed. Bayern Munich should not lose points in such matches because they still have games to play against Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig. I agree, Frankfurt will not be able to shock the world and they won't win anything. I agree that we have seen them do nice and all but that was it and I do not think that we are going to see anything further anytime soon, whatever happened has already happened and that was it, we are not going to get anything more from them.

Bayern Munich have failed to realised by now that the atmosphere of the Bundesliga competition have changed from last season after they lost to Bayern Leverkusen for the league title. They should stop underrating any team they’re meeting in the Bundesliga because that’s what will make them to be victorious in most of their matches.

When they begin to underrate some teams over some other teams because they haven’t yet to see their best yet and haven’t performed well this season, that’s when it becomes hard for them to prevail against them and those teams show their best in that match since they know they’ll be facing a tough team, they will not come to play lowly of themself but will play in their best form.

They have lost some points after the lose to Mainz but that has not made them fall short in the league table and they will still be occupying the first place for now. They still have the chance and opportunity to continue their fight for the league title, I hope they don’t fumble again after this opportunity they still have. I didn't watch this match but I could see the match statistics, as you said Bayern Munich can control the match but the shot effort is always bad from 13 shots only 1 on target while Mainz has 4 on target from 8 shots.
