Personally, I don't think we will see Leverkusen in the top 2 of the Bundesliga next season. Leverkusen lost the best coach in their history. At the same time, they sold a lot of players from the squad. With the new coach and players, it will take a long time for their performance to stabilize. It is very unlikely that Leverkusen will stabilize at the beginning of the season. I would even say that it will be very difficult for Leverkusen to stay in the top 4 of the table next season. The chances of the team finishing in the top4 depends on their performance, if they perform well they will finish among the top4 but if they perform poorly then they may not make the top4 list.

Leverkusen has changed their manager. At the same time  the team has sold several important players in the squad. Leverkusen has made a lot of money by selling Wirtz, Frimpong, KOssounou and Xhaka. Despite making money, Leverkusen's squad has definitely become quite weak. Although Leverkusen has bought players like Quansha, Tillman and Maza. Even then, I doubt whether we will see stable performance from Leverkusen next season. Leverkusen may try to stay in the top four of the table. However, the second place in the table is more likely to be occupied by Dortmund or Frankfurt.

Seriously, I’m not also expecting Leverkusen to perform the way they did last season. At first I was expecting Leverkusen to be at the top this coming season, but since they changed their manager and sold some of their players, seriously, I’m beginning to doubt their performance next season because they changed some of their main players.

I don't understand the plans of Ten Hag for Bayer Leverkusen team he has been selling out the key players that has helped the team reach the milestone it has gotten to in terms of been competitive against the dominant opponent Bayern Munich when Xavi Alonso was manning the head coach position. Despite this sells I haven't seen some an equal replacements to these players leaving the team. I am already doubting Leverkusen m's ability to do much in next season's competitions like they did under Alonso.

It's not ten Hang that is selling but the club plus the players are willing to leave so you will not blame ten Hag for the massive departure of players from Leverkusen he has to only work with the players that are available while still looking out for top quality players to bring in and strengthen the team

Perhaps not all the sells are coming directly from his decision but as a coach he should have the charisma to convince some of the players to stay even tho they wish leaving he could at least talk to them to have faith in his project for the club as new manager to avoid such departures because it's really going to affect his first season with Leverkusen.

Normally I expect Leverkusen to struggle initially when the season will start because a new coach coming to the club means that a change in the playing style and philosophy of the new coach so it will be difficult for the team to just start getting results when the season starts it will take time before the team will start gelling and getting results

When I saw the latter part of your comment where you stated that until the season starts first. We cannot be making complete assumptions at this time because a team may not appar solid enough to us but they may do great things such we did not expect off them. The first season xabi moved to Leverkusen, it happened that was his first time as a coach and Leverkusen were in a dead state that no one believed they could do any better but they won almost a trio that season.

He was given all the freedom he wanted at Manchester United and I think what is concerning about ten Hag going to Bayer Leverkusen is the change in the coaches' personalities, going from Alonso to ten Hag couldn't be any more disruptive than that. Leverkusen did well because Alonso understood to manage an ambitious team and keep the tension high and the feeling of being important even when someone didn't play.

Ten Hag is about humiliating players, he is the opposite. If he doesn't like a player, he ignores them. Finishing top 2 will be great but I don't see that happening, when you look at the qualities gone and the incomings to replace them are not all that. Xabi Alonso had six months before his debut season, so he had all the failings and ideas he needed to infuse into his project and team. Increasing expectations is nice, but they should have a set goal at the end of the season. I don't know of I'd want to say that patience talks again.

Football is full of surprises and I believe Bayer 04 Leverkusen can still competite at the top level this coming season but I don't think if they can win the Bundesliga tittle with Erik ten hag as their couch, we all know Erik ten hag is not a better couch for Bayer 04 Leverkusen we all the rubbish he did when he was at Manchester United he always believed he knows it all when he know nothing who knows he might start selling out some good player in Bayer 04 Leverkusen just the way he did with Manchester United, I think the best level he can keep Bayer 04 Leverkusen is to make finish in the top 4 but winning the tittle is impossible with Erik ten hag.

There is nothing Ten Hag can do to stop those players from leaving, because they have already made up their minds and have a new deal. However, they might not listen to him because they don't have confidence in him.

The players knows what he did to United and might feel that the same thing will replicate itself in Leverkusen. Ten Hag can get a player of his choice which is the dream of every coach.

Isn't that normal? He was given a lot of freedom at Manchester United before but all Ten Hag did was have problems with a lot of their players including Sancho, Cristiano and a few other disputes although not as big as Cristiano and Sancho and they fell apart so it is only natural that there will be a lot of skepticism towards Ten Hag at Leverkusen. Being in the Eredivisie and the Bundesliga is a bit different as the Bundesliga in terms of level is currently in the top 5 best domestic competitions in Europe so perhaps this should be another consideration.

He's been successful at Ajax but on the other hand he's also tasted failure in bigger competitions before so I think with these conditions we'll obviously feel wary and even doubtful about Ten Hag's abilities in the end.
On the other hand for a new coach with new habits brought this will also be considered normal because we can see before for Kompany at Bayern is also the same or another case Slot at Liverpool last season.

You may accuse Erik Ten Hag of failing to lift Epl, maybe that was the failure you mean. But generally, I don't think ETH failed in Manchester United where he spent 2 years with two trophies. He ended up qualifying the team for Europa using the FA cup in his last season. Bayern is a difficult nut to crack in the league and everyone understands their dominance. Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso was also great and full of passion but it would be unfair measuring ETH with their previous achievements knowing fully well that most of their players are no longer there. I understand that he was great at Ajax, no idea how he managed to be great there, but I never had trust in him. People say that United was so terrible that, he managed to win FA cup with them, which was big enough of a deal, beating City was even bigger deal.

So they think they were great and they should be considered good, because a horrible United team that became 15th last season, was the FA cup winner with him, and we all know Ajax, so they have some trust that ETH can do a fine job with Leverkusen. I am not one of those people, I have no trust in him, because he is not a true leader and should be considered bad.

Yes, ETH is not Xabi Alonso. But how could anyone deny that he is a proven winner! Don't forget about his 3 league titles & cups with Ajax, & now he is going to give his footstep on Leverkusen through mid‑2027. You know the Werkself is still be proud with league top scorer Patrik Schick, also Florian Wirtz is remaining under contract. This Patrik Schick netted 21 Bundesliga goal last season.
Also remember Die Werkself finished 2nd to Bayern last season with only a midteen point gap. So effective squad groundwork is underway, it is so much sensible talk to challenge Dortmund for the top two, it is not wishful thinking at all. So, betting against them would be such a naive decision.

If we compare them both, both are quite good with their efforts and experience, but if we look at them in the team, Leverkusen is playing quite well and better. Erik ten hag improves his team with his efforts, but he is not preparing his team's players in any way, due to which Manchester United is not being so successful yet. Now his coach and his team should improve themselves by playing well. His development will be good, but there will also be a difference in the team's players, this will make Leverkusen better, but Manchester United was not doing well, due to which we will blame Manchester United's players, not this coach.
