Let's not forget that pattern drawed are supposed to picture market sentiment --> symetrical triangle = consolidation. However, this drawed triangle includes mostly impulsive waves and not consolidation ones...

nonetheless, maybe the ascending trendline is interresting, but since they usually get broken without any meaning, it's better to give to them significance only in a pattern

Thank you for the info. I am a Newbie here, and after reading for quite sometime, I still can't see the why it will dive deep again'. It will go up, and down again but not as deep as $465, i think(but i dont think my opinion matters here) price after hop will be playing around $555 - $600.

It looks like bitcoin is trending against gold, and it looks about to accelerate.

I prefer to look at bitcoin priced in gold which i think is like that other chart upside down.



To me it is clear that bitcoin is trending up priced in gold, just as price in fiat. Which I think likely to continue.

I found the price spikes around the US election quite interesting. Both gold and bitcoin spiked high during the initial realisation Trump looked like winning. (Both viewed as safe haven?) But then both gold and bitcoin gave up all gains quite soon after. Price action very similar in both assets.

 But then a huge divergence, while gold crashes below key technical levels and now looks aweful (manipulated??) Bitcoin reverses and resumes its bullish trend (suspicion is that bitcoin much harder to manipulate than gold??)
