I think is quite obvious that gambling is for fun, despite of there are people who cannot control themselves and ruin their lives with debts etc.. Not everybody should bet.. but who can we stop that ?

I think is quite obvious that gambling is for fun, despite of there are people who cannot control themselves and ruin their lives with debts etc.. Not everybody should bet.. but who can we stop that ?
yeah it happened in my place, many people borrow money in their bookie just for gambling, he could not return the debt, and he just ruined his life |

if you lost big money on gambling, of course it is wrong, and you pay taxes to your country, so lost money is not wrong from your country's view. In those legal gambling countries, people give money to casino and the country, the country share taxes to everyone, so you can get welfare from your country, which is good. But if you earn big, gambling is the BEST choice right?   |

How is possible that gambling is not wrong when it was invented to take money without work? Only the work give money. Because only the work create value. So you give your work and then take the money fro the amount and quality of work you have given. No it was not invented like that and neither for that reason,it is just an addiction and probably the adrenaline that drives some people crazzzy. speaking about work ,yes we are working while gambling ,you are not sleeping and gambling ? are you . |

And some prefer to cash it out immediately to their bitcoin wallet which is the right thing. To summarized, it will depend on the gambler if gambling will be wrong or not. |

If gambling is not wrong and you are telling that, first of all, if you are a gambler your are addicted to gambling. You are another example of the risk that gambling have for the simple people. Being addicted mean not only to lose all your money but even to be convinced that this thing is nothing, is a normal thing and that the fault is not the fault of gambling but of the person that gamble (just like your post). No one forces him to gamble, only his desire. You forget the psychological power of gamble. Which is used by every owner of gambling things. I hope only that you one day (if a gambler) understand the risk of your conviction and change it. Then quite the gambling. |

Yes, Gambling is not totally wrong. If you have just playing for fun, you have good control on yourself and you are not at all addicted towards gambling then I think there should be no problem with Gambling. On other hand if you are addicted towards gambling and you can not afford to loose the money and I would suggest to just stay away from gambling. |

I have said this before. We need to stop blaming the thing people are addicted to on the thing(s) people are addicted to. People need to accept responsibility for their actions and stop blaming other sources. Bottom line.

This is completely right in some ways... an alcoholic will say "drinking isn't wrong, I just drink socially" when in reality he's a heavy closet drinker when occasionally having the motivation to go out. But usually he won't because it cost a lot less to drink at home and you can get a lot more drunk. Gambling is the same way, where people will say "Oh I have control over my gambling, it's harmless" and every night they spend away all their money on poker or dice or something of the sort. |

As Charles Barkley used to say when they accused him that he has a gambling problem: "I don't know why everybody are saying that I have a gambling problem. I can afford it, gambling", he said.
So if you can afford it, it's not wrong. If you piss away your savings and children's school fund then it's definitely wrong!

Gambling isn't what is wrong. It is people and their addictions that are wrong. You are never able to blame the person and not the item nowadays. Even though it isn't the item(gambling/drinking) fault, it is one person couldn't control themselves and we need to start aiming toward having people take care of their own issues. |

A wise man once said "It's only wrong if you lose" honestly though the people that think gambling is wrong are the ones that have lost money by it. The people that have made big bucks from gambling arent going to tell you its wrong. just gamble what u can afford to lose.
and treat it like a game if you win thats great, if you lose no big deal
