CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action

people are getting emails and sms's now with phishing links... tell me now hmmm how are only cryptsy numbers getting these texts? retards in cryptsy chat box are saying bet its fromt he gox mailing lists... sure cause people put phone numbers there.

I'm wondering if our old pal paul vern has sold off some info to scammers. Or maybe a pissed off insider that hasn't been paid and decided they can get their payment this way through data selling.

Makes me thankful I have just the google auth mode and didn't give my mobile number.

Horus should probably get right on that being the security guy to find the leak source right? Bad for cryptsy too.. mobile data leak opens up law suits. That shitty exchange just got more shitty.

To be fair because I like to errr on the side of caution I think horus has "access" to the vitals to verify as security but I don't think he amasses them. The sites automated system for upload amasses them.

Basically for the leak if it is a leak, anyone with "access" to the vitals is now a suspect. If it comes lawsuit time all those people with "access" are now suspects. If I was horus i'd fuckin run from the place. I'm not sure why he is so hellbent on sticking around as jobs are "hard" to come by. I personally think integrity and my past work history is more important than a current paycheck. Fuck i'd rather take a welfare check than risk that.

That is definitely a possibility i'll agree. More reason that he's threat to quit if he doesn't hear from vern should be followed through on. Else he is putting himself in the spotlight for speculation. Must be a big paycheck to keep risking that....

These guys have mailing lists and correspondence I'm sure... I suspect they are scared of their NDA... though that didn't go too good for Josh Garza and his threats did it? Questions: Would Paul Vernon verify via Twitter a sunctioned "phishing attempt" from Cryptsy so not to alarm its users when they received them? Isn't a "phishing attempt" by the very nature of its name a bad thing and would NEVER stem from Cryptsy?

OK, I've gone though the site again, and it does not appear to be all that sophisticated. no direct malware before the submit. I cannot see anyting after that right now. I am reasonably certain that cryptsy has been hacked by the people behind cryptsy-refund. They have gained access to at least some or all customer email and phone numbers. They may have gained access to more personal information than just that including SSN's and DL #s if that was available unencrypted.

This is a shitstorm.....

I know they got at least email addresses since I just recently changed mine to a domain I recently registered. They also text messaged the phone number I have listed there. Fortunately I never gave them my SSN or DL#.

This breach of may cause crytsy to incur big fines from the federal government if SSNs have been taken?
