Only a retard thief would use a cherry picker to get the hard-to-reach fruit (coins in a cold wallet) but not touch the low-lying fruit (~133 BTC worth of bitcoins in a hot wallet), then not spend the loot for a year and a half even though no police report was filed, meanwhile Cryptsy continued to conduct business as usual as if a theft didn't occur, treating the incident like some pesky gnat buzzing around the office with hopes that cryptocurrency community members not banned from participating will opine a solution to rid the critter once and for all if a 1000 BTC reward is put on the table.
The 20 MILLION DOLLAR KNAT LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

FUCK YOU CRYPTSY

I just caught my mistake:

2014-07-29 13:17:36: https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0c07e0bec1002bd2

I wanted to post more in this post but there's a Skype chat awaiting my ass. Only the second time I've ever used Skype.

I'll be bumping this post later to reveal something of interest.

Okay, I need to add to the post(s) above the following that happened ~44 minutes prior to the inside job:

https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Cryptsy.com-old?page=1201

Here's the tx: https://www.walletexplorer.com/txid/b197ae3ce47b6cf83033c43b80feb57fcd70a5ac782eca8fb562ac43a6182049

Same true for these 33 BTC as was for the 23 BTC above - UNSPENT: https://www.walletexplorer.com/txid/6e2e41315689bf31aa581b7af5508fa3d5511e4a66678b13dfda3c5f0bc567f3

I know what you're thinking: Bruno, that's only 56 BTC. So what? Where I'd reply with, "If it were ten times that amount, would it then matter?" <as if you didn't see the following coming>

https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Cryptsy.com-old?page=1202

Yep, less than 9 hours earlier still on July 29, 2014, 500 BTC were transferred off Cryptsy and are currently... how should I put this? .... UNSPENT.

Where
did
Mullick
go ?

My question is: Why are the BTC unspent? Have the guys been living on the LTC?

1) It appears they sold 456,501 Dash ($1.3mil) during the past 18 months, and likely other coins...
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/tx.dws?1120889.htm
2) Quite risky selling stolen BTC for USD since they would need to give identifying information to an exchange (who could give it to cryptsy)

thanks for the faceless joke asshole, mean while there are 100s of people who have just been financially raped by Big Vern and his associates.

People need to be calling the FBI and logging formal complaints, and they need to be contacting national news about the story and getting a bigger national media to pick up the story, just like they did with Mt.Gox

Its only a matter of time, the media loves relishing in fail bitcoin exchnages, expecially when shady play is involved.

That will then translate into federal prosecutors all over the country getting wind of the story and the easy criminal case against Big Vern and the civil lawsuits.

Combine that with Big Verns plans to travel and all his connections to China just earliler this year, they should deny him bond and keep him in a cell due to him being a flight risk with the potential that he has access to all the missing/"stolen" funds

Seriously, fuck this guy Big Vern, obviously I am disgusted by him what he did to the bitcoin community all while we are trying to get through the ravages of the MtGox bullshit....

these people like Big Vern are supposed to be leaders & trailblazers in a new industry, instead they revert to low-life scamming people

Thsi guy deserves no sympathy.  Big Vern should be in the cell with el chapo and they should both have to share the same hole in the floor to shit.  No showers either!  Fuck this scum!!!

FUCK YOU VERN FUCK YOU, I AM THE #1 PERSON WHO WANTS TO SEE YOU IN A CELL

YOU STOLE MY BITCOINS BLATANTLY 3 YEARS AGO!!! , AND THIS IS MY VERSION OF JUSTICE THE UNIVERSE HAS GRANTED ME TO SEE YOUR DEMISE!!!

ffs dude calm down.
so all the previous humor in this thread doesnt count?

So, Paul Vernon liquidated Litecoins and perhaps some other alts which afforded him his new digs in Florida that his wife is now trying to claw away from him. I'd say she has him by the balls (and not friendly cupped), telling him she's want the whole house (where she'll sell it off) or she's spelling the beans as to where the moneys came from to purchase the digs in the first place. What a sneaky petite Asian cute!  Cool I wonder if she has a sister... Hell, I'd settle for a brother (not Mason).

Can I guess what? Can I guess what? Can I guess what?

Okay, Bruno, you can guess what.

Goody! I guess that in about 10 hours, ten million dollars worth of cryptocurrency is goin' be stolen from Cryptsy via an inside job. How close and am I?

WHATEVER! You're so dramatic! Anybody else wanna guess what? Anybody? Bruno, to show you how far off-base your crazy quasi-prediction is, here's the final post found in the same thread your image above was gleaned from approximately five hours after your pseudo-theft supposedly takes place:

Cryptsy is the only legit, completely legal entity and fair crypto exchange.

I'm a little confused, why do you have so much hate against them? Cryptsy has always been a wonderful place for me, and the team goes through a lot to make sure its secure and safe and a fair place to trade.. What made you so butt hurt to go against them and create such crazy stories?

I stand corrected and schooled! HAHAHA

Once again, you're buying his bull's shit.

3 months later, its all water under the bridge... and some assholes wallowing in their fake drama queen production.

Crustyngton shillin it HARD !
You should try experimenting with POS only with fees going to the holders, also it would be best for it to be fully premined over a short period and distributed mostly with trusted escrow, less with exchanges. If you premine the entire thing that also means you can use sha256 for it so you end up with a much slimmer blockchain and you don't have the tens of thousands of inputs that multipools create so you can effectively decrease the size of the blockchain by some 50-60% so with a 2 minute blocktime you might have a 200mb Blockchain after a year.

Multiple loadable wallet.dats so that you can section off your coins in separate wallets so you aren't spending your oldest coins or even have seperate accounts.

Anon that generates masking addresses when sending to other people.

Coin control

Option to send using minimal coinstake

Adjustable Stake thresholds so you can set which the point at which your blocks will split or combine.

Bitmessage for escrow and smart contracts

Built in block explorer

Statistics (generally all the stuff you see in getinfo)

Stake for Charity

Built in trade api to trusted exchanges

Who ? Who ? said the owl..
I like the idea

Cryptsy can verify i never ever went back to their site again.
i took my coins (dust) out after that shit and never looked back.

I also pretty much dropped it too because no one wanted to hear it..
Cryptsy has a rabid cheerleader fanbase that refused to believe anything bad about them all along.
Until now.

Still pushing this i'm in cahoots with them angle eh ?

EDIT:
Gleb Gamow i loved your post too !

Please... STFU Vlad/rw3t ..
pr9me, BitJohn, Crusty... Were the four of you on a shitcoin launching double date ?

Paul,

Here's another option. Sell the company - 100% - to the customers for the amount of the shortage. Distribute ownership to the depositors based on what they have trapped in the company. Then reset all balances in cryptsy to 0 and the new cryptsy get a new CEO and reopen. All coins on balance go into the exchange's reserves. Over time, cryptsy can buy shares back using it's profits. You never come back to the US again and you hold no business interest in Cryptsy.

Your liability is with the depositors. Turn the company over to the depositors. You can do this today and nobody has to wait two years for a bankruptcy proceeding.

If you are a depositor and would rather wait 2 - 3 years for a fraction paid at bankruptcy, speak up.

From the majority of your other comments, sir, you strike me as a traumatized child and even an ass****, but hey, I gotta admit this is the best idea I have read in 40pages of discussion. Chapeau!

I have my moments. Wink

Hi All,

I would suggest that ALL coins would make a version 2. Why? Cryptsy is holding a lot of small coins, KARMA, LOT, MOON, LEAF, ....

maybe they have a supply of 80% of all the outstanding coins, so we should all make KARMA2, LOT2, MOON2, LEAF2,... type of coins and swap the coins that aren't on cryptsy.

This will mean Cryptsy wouldn't be able to dump their coins on other markets and make another few millions and it can give the current owners of those coins maybe some money back if they were able to withdraw at least a few coins...
