why is this so that every one is comparing and like to link bitcoin with some illegal activities. i think all the illegal activities are part of the society. and they stay in every society. they will be support by the dollar, Euro or any other currency but you cannot blame a single currency for that.

My thoughts exactly. Bitcoin, like any other currency, is just an instrument. We are free to choose what we use our resources for, be it on legal or illegal things. But you must be ready to face the consequences of doing shady deals if you ever get caught.

they are using the safe way for their illegal business. therefore if they found internet or bitcion as the safest way then definently they will use bitcoin for their illegal activities.

I remember when my friend introduced me to bitcoin, when I asked him what can I do with bitcoin, he said that I can buy drugs and all illegal stuff. So, i decided bitcoin is very bad idea to deal with, and after 2 years i read one good article and than i realized that bitcoin isn't just for illegal stuff, it can be for good things.

At first, I never bored to say does bitcoin is used for good things or bad things it just relies on the owner of bitcoin intentions.
you know about your friend, he understands about bitcoin if bitcoin only good for doing the illegal activity but you have a different think. and otherwise from there, you have intentions to make a life is better with bitcoin. we know about the different understanding of everybody.

Bitcoin is a currency and it can be used for any purposes. With real cash, you can buy drugs and illegal stuff as well. It is all a matter of what's the nature of transaction they do. However, bitcoin was indeed highly used in the deep web for trades of illegal goods. I do not know if it is still highly used as of right now since it has surfaced.

And on a positive note we can see that if so many illegal people are using bitcoins then surely there is something unique about bitcoins, right ? And that is the power of irreversible and transparent system.

I am sure that there are people that want to buy drugs with Bitcoin but I do not think that it is going to be possible because of the fact that Bitcoin is anonymous.

This is wrong. Besides, if such story comes up in mass media, the reputation of Bitcoin will be ruined in no time.

Well, drugs can also have different meanings such as drugs as in medicine.
Besides, it's actually no surprise for people to buy drugs using bitcoins, because it's already happened before in a very large scale in the underground market. And regarding that mass media thingy, they've always been only reporting about negative issues on bitcoin such as illegal buying of guns, money laundering, etc.

Thats one of the place where you can buy lots of illegal drugs and weapon or any illegal activity they are using bitcoin because of the anonymity.. because they can not use paypal or any sites are needed real identity or connect banks to transfer money.. so still now they are still alive using bitcoin to buy those illegal stuffs..

I agree with you, because that users just making a bad reputation for bitcoin. that's true it's will give a bad effect for government things about bitcoin and will give a big effect for our society.

I also agree with this. Because of the fact that most of the users don't see the root and just blame the coin being used for illegal purpose, we should try to catch and get some treatment for the illegal sellers and even buyers.

I wouldn't agree. If using drug is illegal then buying drugs is also illegal and it doesn't really matter if you buy it with Bitcoin or fiat money. And beacuse Bitcoin is only payment method on darkweb for illegal goods and services it gained bad reputation.
