Now for the Warriors game…
Warriors won big time. Klay Thompson sinking most of his 3 point shots like a flash back of splash brothers. The first 3 shots was perfect until he missed 2 of them. I like how Steve Kerr is not rushing anything. Just play some minutes, heat up then go back to rest. Almost like he is still in recovery. Maybe, mentally.
However, Steph Curry after breaking the record is still having issues with his outside shots. He tried mid range and it's working so I guess he should stay there for a while until he acquire his powers back.  Grin

Yeah, but even with Steph having his sort of 'struggle' from the outside, still the Warriors are winning and remain at the top of the Western conference. It's a testament that you don't need he doesn't need to score more and carry the team just like what Lebron is trying to do with the Lakers right now. And when Steph's shooting form is back, for sure they will be hard to stop specially that Klay is slowly getting his rhythm back as well.

Nice to see Anthony Davis back on the floor. He only got 8 points but did manage a highlight alley oop play. LeBron was the story of the game though. Without Durant on the floor it was clear that LeBron was the best on the court all night long as he put up 33 points. Westbrook managed to shoot 50% from the floor also. When he’s not missing everything the Lakers aren’t bad. Lots of John Wall for Westbrook trade rumors out there anyway… Now for the Warriors game…
Looks like Davis' performance wasn't impressive in this match, but maybe he just needs a couple of games to get back in shape after his injury. By the way, you forgot about Monk. This guy scored 22 points, including 6 of 12 three-pointers. I think he was more helpful than Westbrook in this match.
Well, that was expected since he just came back from injury. His presence on the court lift up the morale of the team and getting the victory against the short-handed Nets without Durant and Irving.

With regards to Monk, nobody is talking to this player. Like there are times where he is scoring 20 points or more in some of their games and for me, I think the Lakers should develop Monk because he can be a perfect shooting guard of the team. Him and Westbrook can be a good frontcourt duos but lets see how Monk goes. I just hope that he would be more consistent in terms of points because there are times where he only score 10 points or lower and there are times where he is scoring 20+ points.

No doubt about Monk, when they have a run like 4-5 games winning streak, I think he averages around 18 ppg during that run. However, when the Lakers started to lost again, nowhere you can find Monk scoring double digits as he struggles.

So what I'm trying to drive up is that he needs to be consistent day in day out and help Lebron. Like THT, he has some good games, but he only has a streak wherein he can't even hit a 3 point even if he has a good looks.
Correct me but I think this is also one of the reason why the Lakers aren't consistent also in winning right now. They don't have a second scorer that is consistent per game or at least having a huge impact with the team in terms of offense. Like you said, both Monk and THT has games where they are performing well but there are also games that they aren't. Lebron is a consistent scorer already no doubt about that but they need another scorer. Davis can be a second scorer but he needs to be healthy all through out the whole season.

Now for the Warriors game…

Curry is having a problem right now since he isn't sinking most of his shots but the good thing is their quote "Strength in Numbers".
They aren't only relying on Curry but every player on the team has the ability to score and shoot. Just on this game, 7 players are in double figures leading by the rookie Kuminga who scored 22 points off the bench.

Speaking of Kuminga, I'm pretty sure that Green will be proud of him because he can shoot and at the same time he is a good defender as well like him. Some are saying that Kuminga is the next Kawhi Leonard and I might agree with this. Just give him time to develop and he will be the next star of the team alongside Poole, Wiseman and Moody. I just hope that the Warriors will not trade him or any of their young players to other players. Still, I can't move on on his emotion when he posterized Josh Green on their game a while ago Cheesy. That smile Cheesy

Indeed, you are correct and Steph Curry doesn't mind that. But, you can see the frustration in his actions whenever he won't find his rhythm.
The same with every shooter in the league who finds it devastating whenever they are not in their normal type of game. He may be the best shooter of all time but there will always be times like this where he needs to be patient and create another method to help the team, which he did.
I don't doubt him, I am sure we will see him back shooting a higher percentage. Maybe Draymond Green will be the key with how he intensifies the game, Curry's game.

Curry hitting his first walk off buzzer beater is really telling seeing he is shooting less field goal percentage than Russell Westbrook this season. Come playoff time teams will be able to take advantage of this weakness and force the ball out of his hands.
Lebron had a showtime performance in Brooklyn last night, but without Durant and Irving on the court will this really mean anything come post season? I think not. Russ is still in the mindset he Is the star and needs to take a page of Anthonys book on shot selection and how to become a valuable asset to the Lakers; otherwise Lakers should trade with Houston for wall. The return of Anthony Davis was a pleasant sight for Lakers fans let's see how long the fragile star can stay fit.

Golden State Warriors really tore Dallas Mavericks apart this morning. To be honest, I wasn't having a this kind of expectation from them. It was too easy for Warriors as they won by 130-92. Curry or Thompson didn't have so many points. They were just solid as a team I mean. When it comes to Mavericks, Doncic was good with 25 points and 8 rebounds. But the rest of the players were too inadequate in performance. And for this reason, they couldn't be a big competition for Warriors. They need to improve their performance immediately after this result.

The ball and players rotation was too good from the Warriors, Mavs compete in the early twp quarters, but after that

GSW dominated the entire game. You said it right. GSW was solid, as the stars don't need to shine that much
the role players are doing their job right.

Everyone is really contributing, and that's how good the bond between players and the coaching staff they understand
the system well and they bring a very good outcome..

It is really an important point for Warriors. They shouldn't be depending on Curry only all the time. They should be able to play as a team as much as possible to have a bigger chance for the finals and the championship also. I really am impatient about Thompson which I must admit.  Grin  Thompson has been back from his long-lasting injury finally but he is still recovering his old performances. For now, he is playing average. But until the playoffs, he can be strong again and him and Curry would do a great job like old times.

The old warriors that we want are what we saw during their game with the Mavericks or their last game. Look at the points distribution, they are well distributed and Curry does not have to score like 30 to 40 points in order for them to win, if they keep this kind of consistency, I think they have a very good chance to be in the Finals this season.

Yeah, that was the old warriors, everyone is getting involved and the burden is not solely carried by Curry. Thompson was also great in this game, hopefully, he will play some consistent minutes and will not be taken out a lot so we will see more of him. Beating the Mavericks shows how strong they are, and after some struggles in the previous games, looks like they already found their rhythm.

Spurs finally had a decent game. It came down to Houston of course and they are a tanking team so having a great game against Houston doesn't mean anything and we are as good as tanking at this point. However, it is at least good to see the flashes of potential in that team. Warriors had a great game as well, they are not working like a well oiled machine and that is always great to see.

It is also a proof that they didn't need KD to be this good, even without him or barnes or anyone, the big trio is making everyone around them be better, Kerr needs to get some credit for it as well since he is a great coach that can take most out of you.

Lakers winning is a great thing for them, with AD back and all they will need a few more wins, but looking at the 6th spot, Denver is a lot more ahead and I do not think that Lakers could be there anymore. It is either 8th or 7th for Lakers if you ask me, and that is "usually" means first round exit.

There are still plenty of games and the competition is very tight, so even if the Lakers now do not have a good standing, with consistency in winning, they could be in the top 4. As long as AD also remains healthy, they are a stronger team as Lebron does not have to carry the burden every time they have a game. AD might not be in his full capacity but his presence is merely enough to give the team the energy they needed to win.

The Clippers comeback was absolutely insane.

I'm not sure what Wes Unseld Jr. was thinking when he had Dinwiddie out there without much of a hot hand. And at the end of the game, everyone just seemed exhausted and there was a total collapse - even when the Clips are playing literally their third stringers.

Kennard was absolutely godly. But when this random player Amir Coffey is dropping nearly 30 points on you, there's something wrong with your Defence.
Hard to believe Wizards would lose when they have the likes of Bradley Beal and Kuzma playing doesn't it?

The remaining players from Clippers has a "play hard until the final buzzer" attitude and I respect that. They are taking advantage of the rare chance to prove why they are in the NBA.

Kennard's 7 points in the last 9 seconds of the game was something else.

The first half was a dominant performance by the Wizards but on the 2nd half it's the complete opposite of the 1st half. That's the quality of the LA Clippers, they never give up, that's why in the last season's playoffs they reach to the WCF even without Leonard.

Thats opposite on what's happening to them at earliest part of the league Lakers struggle even if they have complete line up and they didn't work well until today so I think they really have a huge problem with their rooster and their management since even today they struggle. This rooster is totally good since as you said Lebron don't neee to carry this team since they had good piece but the problem there is they cannot work it well and the chemistry seems off that's why they are now under and might didn't reach unto the playoffs on this season.

Cavaliers give a strong second half and beat Bucks easily. they got their 3rd winning streak tonight and give Bucks their 4th consecutive road loss, the Cavaliers also snatch the 4th spot in the Eastern Conference. Rondo's addition in the team was awesome, without Rubio, they are doing completely fine.

I agree that there is very strong competition in the Western Conference. Therefore, it won't matter if the Lakers finish in 4th or 8th place in the conference standings at the end of this season. I mean, the Lakers can lose to any top team in the first round of the playoffs because they still haven't improved their team chemistry.

I like how the Cavaliers acted when they saw that Rubio is out for the season. They immediately get the veteran point guard Rubio and we already saw that he is a perfect addition off the bench.
The Cavaliers won 8 of their last 10 games and 10 of their last 12 games in their home court. Watch out East Teams because this Cavaliers team might enter at least in the Semi-Finals. They are currently in third right now in standings.

In this game, 6 of their players are in double figures lead by Kevin Love and Cedi Osman with 25 and 23 points respectively. If Warriors have the "Strength in Numbers" quote because all of them can score then so Cavaliers as well. Did anybody see Mobley posterizing Giannis with a foul Cheesy.

^^ Cavaliers could be one of the underrated team I guess. I remember that they somewhat goes up to 3rd to 4th place in the East and then Rubio got injured and so they've experience consecutive losses. And then they decided to get Rondo from the Lakers in replacement of Rubio and it works for them. The Bucks though seems to have a problem this month as they have been struggling to put up a great string of wins and even now on a losing skid.

Indeed, WCF has a lot of tough teams that's why being consistent will really put such teams in a tight spot. Just like Lakers now, they're currently placed on 9th spot in WCF but if they continue to beat weaker teams and especially tougher teams, they'll be placed on the 5th if they're lucky. But yes, doesn't matter if Lakers will finish 7th or 8th as long as they can participate in playoffs and they have still a lot to prove this season.

It's a 4th road loss so it's not that bad yet. What's surprising is the Cavaliers gaining the 3rd spot in the East all of a sudden and they are not defeating just weak teams, they are also winning against Nets, Jazz, and now the Bucks with a full star roster playing. They don't even have Rubio and Markkanen yet and if just one of them comes back I am sure it will be a tougher team to beat. It's also the 5th home winning streak for the Cavs.
I'd love to see Kevin Love consistently making this amount of points contribution to the team. 20+ points per game, he did it for the last 2 games.
