It is obvious that Lakers are decent enough that they won this one, so I think they should be decent enough to be "contenders", doesn't mean they may win but they are contenders.

The real one I believe could be the biggest is still Bucks and even after them showing nothing of that caliber so far, I think they are still great, Dame and Giannis together is a much better duo than both Jokic and Murray or Lebron and AD, because Dame and Giannis could do what they do with a lot better perfection and could become something much bigger. Their pick and roll feels quite unstoppable, how could you manage to prevent them from scoring? They both are great at what they do and even all by themselves on iso plays they are good enough.

I don't see them beating a team like the Nuggets, Mavs, CLippers or even OKC in 7 games. Sure they play well at home but that's it.

Winning this tournament means nothing. They won 3 elimination games in a best of 1 series, that's it.
Also you should't forget, LBJ or AD are still to get an injury this season, as they so often do the last years. Once this happens they will drop in the rankings as well. And if they don't have home court advantage in at least the 1st round they will bust out in that one.

I mean they are contenders so to speak but not a huge threat I agree with you.  With lebron wanting the best of his legacy he needed to have this win.  Now he can add Champs of first play in tournament.  But yeah a 7 game series is way different than a couple single elimination games.  As for the injuries agreed its way too early to know but I'm sure injuries will shape this season at some point.

I'm not sure if they need to change anything.  The NBA got exactly what they wanted, front end of the season action.  The best part for me was the last games of the round Robin when points mattered.  Teams were up 20 in the fourth and kept theor starters in and were running up the scores.  Hate when during a blowout they throw in their scrubs.  Especially when you pay to go.

I don't know TBH how Le-GM keeps his body like that. His work style maybe? His way of working on his body might affect it, but his performance in the last 2 to 3 games is just like we are watching a 20+-year-old player who is dominating the league still. He deserves that MVP trophy for sure.

As for AD, anybody who saw his grunting face that was caught on camera? That only shows that he's on fire with that game, and nobody on the Pacers can stop him. Turner can't just stop him, and that's the Davis that we want to see all year round. I've been quite impressed with him over the past months. He's barely getting injured, and if he gets injured, he will miss out only a couple of games then he's good to go. He wasn't like he was a few years ago where he will sit months because of his injury.

I think that was just to add more excitement but there was no advantage given by the NBA aside from the Lakers earn more confidence going forward, Also, the price isn't that huge compared to the contacts.

Too early and if I get it right there are also possible trades that may take place so we can't tell whether both teams who are on top right
now can secure that slot.

There are changes that may take place when the season is nearing all the teams that have their respective stars will really try pushing things forward.

This defeat against Thunder was the umpteenth time because previously they also lost against Thunder.
At the start of the match the Warriors seemed to be playing well and even had 14 point lead but as the match progressed the situation was reversed by the Thunder who started to recover and were able to score more points.
But this defeat seems much better than before because they only lost by aexperienci very small margin of 2 points and for some reason this season the Warriors are really experiencing bad phase because they are losing more often.
We can see in the table the Warriors match history that they always lose more often.
If conditions like this continue for long time without any improvements and changes, we can be sure that they will have difficulty occupying one of the top ranks in the Western region standings.

Yes, in terms of turnovers the Warriors committed 29 turnovers, which is the highest record this season.

It was a winnable game by the Warriors but I don't understand why Green fouled the game who gave them a heartache on their previous match up. Chet was really a cold blooded shooter, may it be in the 3 point area or in the FT line, he was sinking those 3 shots like there was no pressure at all, I guess he really deserve to win the ROY.

To many people expect them to win on that match up but unfortunately they didn't sustain it and create a lot if mistakes. We see how inconsistent the Warriors this season and they are now speculated to be in huge trouble if they cannot fix all the issues they are facing now. Unfortunate thing happen on side of Green since he commit a huge mistake in that play that's why OKC take the momentum and get the huge win against Warriors.

I can say that after all the performance done by Chet this season for sure he is the fans favorite to win the ROTY.  Maybe to early to tell since there's a lot might happen but I guess Wemby can't surpass him now knowing there's a lot of frustrations happening on side of Spurs.

I was wondering the same thing. In season tournament was a nice fresh addition to the season and brought an excitement but it can be improved. I think it was early in the season and happened so quickly. It could be better in the second half of the season. Lakers really deserved it also though. I was not expecting that. When they are healthy, they are a force to be reckoned with. When AD is healthy, Lakers might surprise a lot of people this season, including me. I didn't give them any chance in the beginning of the season.

I don't think the timing is ideal if they start the tournament in the second half. For me, it's not as exciting since the second half is the last part of the season, and the playoffs are approaching. It might not feel significant because the playoffs are generally more thrilling than this in-season tournament, which is played in just one game.

Hmmm,,,perhaps in the future, they could make it a best-of-three series to add more entertainment value. This would be especially enjoyable if the series is tied 1-1, giving the decisive Game 3 a Game 7 feeling.

Of course, since this is the first time, they are just making it familiar for the viewers and surely they will add more add-ons and other good stuff next year to make it more interesting just like the NBA playoffs where more viewers are interested. 4 more games before Ja Morant's suspension will be lifted. 25 games were given to him. They are now in the 13th spot of the Western Conference rankings tied with the Portland Trail Blazers. Later, they will have a game against an undermanned team Dallas Mavericks. But even with that, I still doubt the Grizzlies can win this game. Although they successfully defeated them at their last meeting, that's a Luka-less team so it's difficult to believe they can win tonight with Luka leading the Mavs.

Grizzlies will probably not be a good team yet when he comes back. More than a chemistry problem that they need to restart, they have lots of injured key players on their roster. Steven Adams is out for surgery, Brandon Clarke has his Achilles torn, Luke Kennard needs 3 weeks of healing of his left knee bone bruise, and they don't have Dillon Brooks anymore. There's a chance they will not make the playoffs this season unless Ja Morant comes back as a monster.

Big congrats to Lakers for becoming NBA in season champs but also big congrats for LeBron and his MVP win award who is well deserved in my opinion even if AD really played great during this tournament. Kudos to the strategy of the Los Angeles Lakers they have shown true strategy and determination toward the game like in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans as they have some great strategy and exposed Zion Williamson's lack of movements, and Sure Zions is getting heavy again, and against the In Season Tournament finals against the Indiana Pacers they are double teaming Tyrese Haliburton always and they when he passes the ball they will return into a man to man defense, but for sure they are exposing every team's problem and that is why they have won this tournament,

It's way too early to tell for either of these guys.  We are barely through 2 months of theor career.  I think as with most big guys injuries, or lack of injuries will pace theor possible career.  But they eye test for me too is wemby might end up being the best of the 2.  Either way I hope they both stay on the court so we can see where theor careers go.

Yeah right LBJ can still win a  In season MVP if Lakers could still dominate like that next season. Since it will all matter on overall team performance since if he's still good but he's teammate is declining then provably they might get over powered by their opponent. But this season first in game tournament is no luck for them since we see how good their performance is and we see how Lebron perform like there's no performance declining happening to him plus Davies is a total monster in finals.

For winning that in season tournament MVP it says all that there are more from Lebron James in future so provably we can see him balling for more years so expect if there's still in season tournament there's a lot of chance for him to win a MVP again.
