Shout out to my knicks.  I almost turned the game off but figured it was an inseason tourny game watch to the end.  Down 21 in the third and 17 in the 4th they locked down Jimmy buckets all 4th quarter.  Held Miami to 11 or 12 points all quarter and rampages theor way back to a win at the garden.  Best win of the year so far for them.  Team looks tight.

That was a close game the other night. Nice to see Randle making a few shots after starting off the season with one of the lowest field goal shooting percentages in modern basketball history. They showed they can play with good teams when they have it together. I wouldn’t doubt them making the playoffs this year.

Knicks are definitely making the playoffs if they stay relatively injury free.  There just isn't enough good teams on the bottom half of the eastern conference to keep them out.  Randle eventually has to know this is brunson's team he needs to play second fiddle.  Tonight is a big game against the Suns.  Durant is a game time decisions on if he plays.  Will obviously make a huge difference whether he is on the court or not.

Two straight home games without a win— that's disappointing. I initially thought they would only struggle with inconsistency during the playoffs, but it seems to be an issue even in the regular season. Meanwhile, the Suns have surged to the number 3 spot with their 7-game win streak. This team is proving to live on people's expectation. I wouldn't be surprised if they claim the number 1 spot once all three key players consistently play together.

Currently I consider Chet Holmgren as the Rookie of the Year. The hype around Wemby is just that hype. Chet is consistently performing well and significantly contributing to the Thunder. When comparing the performance of their respective teams the Thunder with Chet Holmgrem is outperforming Wembenyama's team. The stats speak for themselves; at this moment Chet Holmgren is far different to Wembenyama.

Like you, I also consider him my Rookie of the Year, and I've already put a bet on him winning this year.
I guess the teammates around both of them have a huge impact on the voting.

Currently, the Thunder has better players compared to the Spurs. They already have an all-star in SGA, and good role players like Giddy, Dort, 2 Williams, and more. As for the Spurs, have young players, but not as good as the Thunder. Maybe some will consider it as well, but if you will just base it on the stats of both players, Chet is better on some stats, but his efficiency is way better than that of Wembanyama. Currently, he's averaging at least 50% from FG, 40% from the three-point area, and 90% from the free throw line. He's on his way to get his first 50-40-90 record. The one that I remember who got this type of achievement at the end of the regular season is Steph Curry. Of course, it's too early, and this might change as well, but his efficiency might lead him to win the title.

I just don't like what Coach Pop is doing right now. He's experimenting currently and putting Jeremy Sochan as their point guard where in fact, he hasn't played in that position ever since. I mean they have better PGs like Tre Jones, but I don't know why Coach Pop is doing this. Maybe for the future of the team?

I don't know why they put Chet Holmgren as a rookie this year because he is part of the 2022-2023 draft pick with Paolo Banchero and he won that award last year. Maybe they are giving him a chance because he didn't play last year at all.

Yes, that is the rule mate, he is still eligible for the rookie of the year because he wasn't able to play in the 2022-2023 season because of a season ending injuries he got, a freak accident during exhibitions matches. And so with that, Paolo has no competition last year and it really benefited and he won a landslide vote for the Rookie of the year.

He is now on the 2nd spot of the rookie of the year candidates and I think he might really steal this one from Wemby if he keeps on piling up more stats. Wemby on the other hand might feel the unfair decision if ever Chet wins this one. He is the rookie and Chet is supposed to be a sophomore this year.
Anyway, I guess Wemby just needs to play harder if he wants that award so badly for himself.

I think there are no changes yet, Wemby still at the top, 2nd is Chet and a little far from these 2 is Ausar Thompson who's also playing great so far. It's still early this season so that might be the reason we have not seen changes like the odds are getting closer between Wemby and Chet. Wemby might still improve his numbers, but if Chet continues to play like what he have showed us from the last couple of games, undoubtedly he will overtake Wemby at the top spot in the middle of the season.
I'd rather look at their team contribution and impact when they're on the floor to help the team win, so right now I have Chet winning the ROTY. The Spurs are still tanking even after the Wemby acquisition.

Milwaukee Bucks is unrecognizable now. On the other hand Portland is playing better than expected. The margin is over 20 points at the start of the second half. If the Bucks can come back from this, they'll have done a great job. It's interesting to watch Lillard play against Portland. Bucks need a good momentum before it's too late.

It was a quite great a comeback and it was unexpected. As you have pointed out, they were unrecognizable and they managed to have a great comeback. Bucks not only managed to comeback and equalize, but also had a very solid clutch performance. But, Giannis's touch and score saved them. If Portland were a little bit better at the clutch, they could also win. It was indeed interesting to watch Dame against his old team, and he played great. I like the concept of franchise players but his move to the Bucks maybe needed a lot by everyone, it was a right choice and we watched a good game with him on the other team against his old team. Expecting great things from them in the playoffs.

Its unfortunate start of conference for Wemby to experience such heavy lose. But also it can make him stronger especially for experiencing those defeat since if he practice more and became more better player next year provably he can help out Spurs to get more wins next season. I know its early to tell about the future but it seems like they need a huge improvement for their roster so that they can help Wemby to maximize his potential. Although they perform so well on their match up with Nuggets and that is really fine to see. There's a huge lesson to be learn from Jokic on their match up so hopefully he get a lot from that and became more better on their next opponent.

To many fans got disappointed on Spurs this season due to their lost streaks. But let see if they can end that up and get their wins since they really need that.

The Denver Nuggets are just too much for them. Wemby is there and Jokic still managed to get 39 points which is not the normal number of Jokic offensively. Wemby can play better than that, especially on the defensive end but I guess being young is like this. He needs a lot of experience first unlike Jokic who had been playing the middle for a long time.

Spurs is filled with young players, I am not really expecting too much from them this season and I think Coach Pop feels the same. He just wants them to play as hard as they can and learn more and then maybe next year it will be a different Spurs while they are growing this season.
Keep them healthy and try to avoid injuries as much as possible, play hard but not overdoing it. As I watch Wemby every game I can see there are so many things that should be upgraded and I bet he knows that too. Shooting, boxing out, his blocking skills are great though, he keeps on swatting the ball from every opponent going to the paint but he should learn how to make it a stop instead of out of bounds.

Chet and OKC is really doing fine this season that's why he take all the advantage regarding on the ROTY race that's why I'm convince that he have more bigger advantage to win that compare to Wemby. Spurs struggling so much this season and its like they can't get a perfect fit that can help Wemby to dominate in the floor as well their other players to step up. If they struggle more and will not get more wins for a possible came back then a chance for Wemby to win this trophy maybe impossible to happen.

Chet easily adopt to his teammates that's why we see some good performance each game coming with him.

The Denver Nuggets are the hardest opponent they need to beat in the west at home and every game against them should be well-calculated and observed because it will be useful when they meet in the NBA playoffs this season. Looks like it will gonna be an easy back-to-back championship for the Nuggets this season if they keep winning easily at home without some hard challenges from their opponents. I don't have expectations from Spurs anymore maybe we should just stop joining the hype and focus more on the improved players this season.

I would say Chet "could" be the rookie of the year, but I never liked giving the rookie of the year award to non-rookie players just because they were missing games. I think it was Ben Simmons who got it like on year three, that was really not good, maybe it was Embiid, not sure. All in all, Chet had more time with an NBA team, even when injured he was taken care of by an NBA team doctors, and trainers, and that is much better than some kid from France could ever get, dude was getting basically just "the best we got" situation there and he was still lacking.

All in all, Wemby still has time to turn this around, he is doing fine, he is not too far away, and if he could go on a rampage for a few games, he could do great. We have already seen him get close to 40 points before, so it is not really impossible for him to do that. Plus, getting rookie of the year has great benefits for your next contract, and that could be very profitable for him, so he would be more inclined to get it.
