Kudos to the strategy of the Los Angeles Lakers they have shown true strategy and determination toward the game like in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans as they have some great strategy and exposed Zion Williamson's lack of movements, and Sure Zions is getting heavy again, and against the In Season Tournament finals against the Indiana Pacers they are double teaming Tyrese Haliburton always and they when he passes the ball they will return into a man to man defense, but for sure they are exposing every team's problem and that is why they have won this tournament,

Well yeah the LA Lakers have shown us what they are really capable of in the defensive end, but the Pelicans and the Pacers aren't really a threat in the playoffs, thus elite teams already had an idea about the Lakers defense. Now everyone knows the Lakers can lock down 1 to 2 player but it would be a different story if the other 3 can play and can creat their own shots, because the double team will create an opportunity for the opponent to have a wide open shot just like what they did to Myles Turner and Obi Toppins.
The Lakers might be a difficult team to beat in the playoffs if they are consistent and efficient offensively.

It's also Anthony Davis night, not sure what he has eaten, but he shows his best two way this year, score points and grab many rebounds and put Myles Turner in foul trouble. And then the crew get into the groove so we should congrats them.

As for the games last night, I think it was a good game for bettors as most of the favorite have won the game and covering the spread and there was no upset whatsoever. Nuggets, Sixers, Pacers and Nets win with a good lead.

Wembanyama is scoring more, rebounding more, blocking more right now. Plus, it looks like they are quite different in the end, Chet is tall too, but he is more like a Durant type of player, a tall skinny scorer who is doing fine, I believe in the next 10 years or so, we are going to see Chet do fine about scoring the basket, he will be an elite force on offense.

However, Wembenyama could become something we have never seen before, a 7'5 feet tall player who plays like a guard, that dude can score from the three or just take on step and dunk, that's how tall and quick he is, and he makes everything much easier for his teammates, plus he is a much better defender as well, his rim protection is near elite levels even right now, that's unreal for his age. I can see why people may prefer Chet because his team is doing better, and because OKC is better than Spurs, many think Chet is better than Wemby, but that is not the case if you ask me, just because teams are better, doesn't mean player is better.

It's way too early to tell for either of these guys.  We are barely through 2 months of theor career.  I think as with most big guys injuries, or lack of injuries will pace theor possible career.  But they eye test for me too is wemby might end up being the best of the 2.  Either way I hope they both stay on the court so we can see where theor careers go.

I think if we talk about performance with their team, it's obvious that Chet is with a better team right now, winning close games and beating some good teams. While Wemby is putting great numbers with the Spurs, still though, they keep on struggling and still in the losing streak.

So there is the comparison and the competition is for the ROTY. Chet has the inside track right now. And now he is the favorite as of this time, 1.68 to 2.00 for Wemby.

It shift already based on Chet's performance, and he just have to maintain it, although still a long way to go.

Yeah, kudos to everyone as they all play alongside with each other and contribute whatever the role that been given to them,
AD is the leading scorer, but team efforts is the important piece to win the game.

Parlay bettors who love to support the favorites will enjoy this kind of result, though there are also bettors who loves to take handicap,
so, either they parlay or take one game at that time still a good win for them.

And just like I predicted the Memphis Grizzlies will still be defeated despite playing against a Dallas Mavericks team that is undermanned because of lots of injured key players.
Luka Doncic. He is not human. 35 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Luka is in the prime of his career and even without Kyrie Irving he can find ways to give his team a win. Jaden Hardy helped out with 19 points, Dante Exum with 16 points, and of course the 19-year-old rookie Dereck Lively II who made 16 points and 16 monster rebounds. Mavs is not to be messed with now that Jason Kidd found out that his bench can also contribute at a high level when they are needed.

Indiana Pacers also won against the Detroit Pistons. They are angry, I mean hungry, pun intended. Bennedict Mathurin has 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. This may be the highest stats he recorded this season and I bet it won't be the last. Haliburton with 16 assists. I really feel like we have the Steve Nash version of 2023 at Haliburton. He is growing, without a doubt.

After losing in the In-season tournament, they regained their composure and won their next game against the Pistons.
WAIT!!! Who are they up against? Oh, it's the Detroit Pistons. The team who are currently on a 20-game winning streak. Oh, it's losing my bad. Cheesy

I guess it's already expected that they will win against them because the team is just sh*t. They lost all their games in November, and are currently on a 20-game losing streak. It seems like they're trying to beat the current highest losing streak record in NBA history. It's the Sixers who are holding the record with 28 28-game losing streak, and they did it in 2015.

As for the Pacers, they're one of the teams that many love to watch right now because of the flow of the ball. Haliburton is just a good addition for them, and he's leading in assists right now with around 14 APG I think. Many are saying that the Haliburton-Sabonis trade was an even trade. I hope that with how both players are playing this season, they will say that the Pacers won the trade.

~
So there is the comparison and the competition is for the ROTY. Chet has the inside track right now. And now he is the favorite as of this time, 1.68 to 2.00 for Wemby.

It shift already based on Chet's performance, and he just have to maintain it, although still a long way to go.
I guess Coach Pop already said to Wemby that he must forget that ROTY title because winning a title for the team is way better than that title. TBH, I have trust in Coach Pop. I mean who doesn't? The coach has been in the league for decades, is the most winningest coach in NBA history, and trying to develop a generational player in Wembanyama.

On the other hand, Chet will get that ROTY no doubt. The question right now for the whole Thunder team is can they play the same when they clinch the playoffs? Might be too early though.

As for Wembanyama, did anybody see that poster against Sengun?
I mean I was shocked for about 15 seconds because somebody tried to block him face-to-face. Sengun is on the wrong side of the court at that time, and he got posterized. Here's the video link anyway:

After the Pacers lose to the Lakers in the in season championship, I conclude that they are just a regular team, not on a championship level team yet. It was an expected win here but guess what, they barely cover the spread, I thought they'll be able to win by Blowout as they're coming from a lose and they want to have a big bounce back win.

Right now, Pistons are Spurs are currently racing on maintaining their losing streak.

Pistons -20
Spurs -17.

I'm guessing, Spurs might be in the finish line first.  Grin

How can Detroit cover in points most of their games ( especially when they play home ) but they are not capable of winning one game! We are talking about just winning one game and I'm sure the fan base will be pleased but it looks like they don't care and they really don't try to win games.

Orlando Magic is for real and last night they prove it for me because Cavs was a difficult team to beat but Orlando had their defensive on point , making Cavs missing a lot of 3 points shots.

My favorites Bulls were so close to perform a miracle and actually beat Bucks in OT but the luck wasn't there for them ...but very good effort tho.  Smiley

Not really, it's the opposite that is happening, they don't cover most of their games.
Currently, they are 8-14-1   on their ATS record, only 8 games were they able to cover, 14 not, and 1 is push.

36.4% is their cover percentage.

You can check https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/trends/ats_trends/

They were playing at home with a good record, so they'll likely win and that happened.

My favorites Bulls were so close to perform a miracle and actually beat Bucks in OT but the luck wasn't there for them ...but very good effort tho.  Smiley

Any team could give the Bucks some trouble now as they aren't the same team, their defense isn't that good compared to the past season, it's really a bad move letting Holiday go.

You can't say that to your player if Coach Pop really said that since it can lower down the motivation of his hype player to do more better job. But if this is true then maybe he just said that its because he already know that Wemby is already behind with Chet which is doing so good this season. Just to bad he cannot get enough help that's why provably he will just miss that ROTY award.

Chet is now the favorite player pointed out to win the ROTY due to his performance and contribution to his team and if he consistently doing some nice thing and OKC always win then no doubt that he successfully acquired that thropy.

Winning the title isn't on the discussion yet if it's the Spurs. They are a rebuilding team so they should focus first on improving, maybe the main goal for now is getting into the playoffs, and with their record now, it's safe to say that this season they'll fail.

On the discussion whether Wemby will win a ROY, it's unlikely now but since it's still early ,there's still time to recover for him to improve his individual performance. Afterall, ROY criteria does not significantly involve the team's performance, so he still has a shot.

Having that kind of a long losing streak, they already failed and won't be able to recover.

Spurs were only hyped when they beat the Suns in two consecutive games, and actually they start well, but it seems like Wemby was already expose, their opponents already know how to limit him, and the Spurs squard are affected much. It's a big challenge on them on how they'll break this losing streak as even if they'll face a mediocre team, they still struggle, so they could be a worst team this season if they'll surpass the Detroit's losing record.

On the discussion whether Wemby will win a ROY, it's unlikely now but since it's still early ,there's still time to recover for him to improve his individual performance. Afterall, ROY criteria does not significantly involve the team's performance, so he still has a shot.

Chet was already on top of him though the race is still close. However, as what we've seen, the hype is going down, Chet's stats are getting better,  so we can expect Wemby isn't gonna win.

Thankfully, LBJ won the first in-season tournament because he won't have another chance next year because of his age and maybe this is the only championship he gets this year.

Are you kidding me? Why would you base on his age rather than his performance?

Look at Lebron's stats here ; https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.html

It doesn't even look like his performance has decline, and winning the in season tournament MVP is already a testament that he's still playing like a real NBA superstar. He won't be called Lebron the king for no reason, so while he is still playing, he is still the king.

Yeah right LBJ can still win a  In season MVP if Lakers could still dominate like that next season. Since it will all matter on overall team performance since if he's still good but he's teammate is declining then provably they might get over powered by their opponent. But this season first in game tournament is no luck for them since we see how good their performance is and we see how Lebron perform like there's no performance declining happening to him plus Davies is a total monster in finals.

For winning that in season tournament MVP it says all that there are more from Lebron James in future so provably we can see him balling for more years so expect if there's still in season tournament there's a lot of chance for him to win a MVP again.

Lebron spend a lot of money to take care of his body, at this age now, he's still playing like a prime player which is smarter and wiser now. Lebron is unlikely to get injured as he handles his role effectively, he doesn't attack recklessly but he gets his teammates involve and that makes the team gets better.

Reaves wasn't even known as a good contributor to the team, but Lebron unleash the skills of Reaves, and now he is one of the consistent contributor to the team and we can see how Lebron trusted him.

Of course, as this point, the Spurs has still a lot of improvement to do even if they have still coach Pop and the supposedly best rookie for this draft class. There are of hype on Wemby for this year and I will say so far he is living up to the expectations, however, his team is suffering.

On the discussion whether Wemby will win a ROY, it's unlikely now but since it's still early ,there's still time to recover for him to improve his individual performance. Afterall, ROY criteria does not significantly involve the team's performance, so he still has a shot.

Still a individual award but still though, if you are in a good team then most likely Wemby has a better chance as they might go into the playoffs and Wemby's Spurs is not. So in any case, for me, I will vote for the ROY that will have a individual and better team's performance. And with the way we see things, it's clear that Chet could be the ROY, but as you have said, it's a long way to go and it's too early to call.

How can Detroit cover in points most of their games ( especially when they play home ) but they are not capable of winning one game! We are talking about just winning one game and I'm sure the fan base will be pleased but it looks like they don't care and they really don't try to win games.

The Pistons already have two wins this regular season. Isn't that enough for the fans? Grin
Well, seriously, I don't think the Pistons have a lot of fans at this point because it's been years since the Pistons' performance was delightful to watch. To me, that was when they had Billups, Hamilton, Prince, Big Ben, and R. Wallace in the starting lineup. Now, I wouldn't be surprised if their attendance is at the lowest level compared to other teams. And I don't think anything will change for the Pistons in the next few seasons.

Wemby has the talent of an ideal big man, could shot outside and has a good range in mid range. However, there's one thing that he need to develop, and that is his physique. I mean we can understand that since he is still young, but since he's in the NBA now (his ultimate dream), it should not be a problem from a team on transforming Wemby to be like a Giannis body. Let's just wait and see, maybe a season or two, we will see a more competitive Wemby.

Maybe he need to gain weight a little bit but not to much since if he let his weight became more bigger for sure he will be injury prone with that since 7'4 for sure he's body can't handle much more bigger weight and it can affect since performance since for sure with that he became more slower. What he need to develop is his confidence since he really need that plus a good teammates surround him so that he can get more better plays and make sure he also can get help if he need his teammates to perform well.

For now can't expect anything explosive to them also with young Spurs but if this team will get a lot of experience or get a some veterans to guide them maybe things will be change and they can get a lot of wins next season.

I think if he does put on weight it is definitely going to affect his performance. With Such a big figure, he is surely going to get injured if he puts on more weight. With such high jumps, he is definitely going to break some bones in his body. It will be better if he concentrates on his performance instead of his body weight right now. At least that's what I think.

About the Spurs, I also agree. I don't think it is going to be very wise to expect too much from them at this moment. Because it does not look like they will be capable of pulling off something like that at this moment.

Man, my Chicago Bulls played another tight game and almost knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time in a row.  Had that happened, I guess I'd be a bit scared that something spooky is going on lol.  That being said, only losing to the Bucks with Lavine out once again, pretty impressive in my opinion.  They really seems to be on a roll right now that's completely unexpected, I plan to bet that hot hand in the coming days.
