Houston Rockets secure another victory. It must be said that they struggled somewhat against the Pelicans. But things are going much worse for Lakers day by day. They won only once considering their last 5 games. It is regular season maybe but not giving good signals for playoffs either. By the way Lakers are in serious need of a good center.

The Lakers are becoming worst. Just as I thought, they are not capable of holding the top spot, and they are not in the same caliber as the Thunder, Spurs, Nuggets, and Wolves. I don't know how they got lucky with all those clutch wins since they don't play defense, and they have a terrible bench. I'm not gonna be surprised there will another movement before the trade deadline. If they plan to include Vando, Vincent, and Hachimura, I have a feeling they're going to be a top contributor to the team who'll get them.
JJ doesn't know how to experiment his rotation, he heavily rely on the starters, and this is exactly what happens when 1-2 starters are injured.

Kidding aside, I didn't expect the Lakers to be at the top spot or even in the top 3 just because of how bad their roster is. Sure, they have Reaves, Luka and Lebron, but their role players? Nowadays, you will only have a higher chance of winning the title if the bench is very deep and you have very reliable role players who can step up in both on offense and defense when their all-star player is out due to injury. If only they have enough cap space to acquire better players, but sadly they don't.

They're way worse than the teams that you shared, and I will not be surprised if they will be bounced in the first round again just like what happened last year. If the Lakers want to change especially with their current performance then maybe trading some of their role players would be their best option. I wonder though who they will be trading because for me, if they stay like this for the whole regular season, they'll end up at the 6th to 8th at best or even play-in at worst especially in a tight conference like the Western Conference.

When that happen they will face the top 2 and they will have again an early exit in the playoffs, Luka cut down the weights so meaning is he really prepared for this season.
Trading lebron is a bit huge step because we don't know who among the teams are willing to have him in the roster but the best destination for him is the east, where there are young teams, i don't know if he can still carry a team, but yea trading him now would be nice, but the value is a bit high i think that no team are willing right now, and this might be his last season, not quite sure but are we expecting him for another year?

I do not think they will fall out of top 10, that would require a lot more losses back to back. But the reality is there, Doncic is less injury prone than AD, so it was still a great trade, but he is still missing too many games, and Lebron is 40+ years old, there is a limit to what he can do, he is a good player for his age but they need more.

Reaves is out too, been injured for a long time, so there weren't any decent players in the team. It was once again Lebron and nobodies like Lebron is used to play, but now that he is 40+ years old, that doesn't get them wins anymore.

I think you can see that Luka is not at his best. I mean 25 points sound solid but looking at the numbers it's a bad game for him, shooting only 8/23 from the field with only 2 rebounds, normally he has close to 8. I mean, it's only a matter of time until he is back for real, the lakers need him. Missing Reaves is also a huge factor at the moment. With him on the floor they have such a stronger backcourt. I mean with him out that's almost 27 ppg they are not getting. There is still no date for his return, only that they will re-evaluate his condition end of this month. Sad to see him sitting cause for me he was the front runner for most improved player. Not getting to 65 games of course ends the discussion about that, that's already confirmed not to happen.

Ja Morant recently made it clear that he is loyal and wants to stay in Memphis. Maybe because of what happened during his confrontation with his coach, the management became open to trading him. And now, there’s another issue involving a teammate. He seems to have some hierarchy issues. He is good, no question about that, but he’s kinda problematic to handle, which is probably why management considered trading him. @Og, those are already super teams, and their salary must be over the roof. But as you said, we don't know what they will offer or how they will squeeze them on those rosters.

I do believe it can be done through trade, but it will be a big one, and there's a chance it will consist of many teams. If the Bucks badly want to restart and young guns are their target, it can happen. There are so many young players now who are showing their talents.

He’s basically the new James Harden. Back in Harden’s prime, before the rules were adjusted, it was very easy for him to fish for fouls. At one point, he was even leading the league in free throws for a season. But once the rules changed, that style stopped working as well, and he couldn’t rely on it the same way anymore. Because of that, I think the league is already starting to notice the same pattern now.

If adjustments come again, we should expect that SGA won’t thrive as much with that foul-fishing style.

I don't see any comparison though, Curry moves a lot without the ball and don't initiate the foul itself. He knows how to protect the ball and his body and so if the danger trying to extend his hand, then they will get the foul. As compare to SGA, who will bump you and then take a fake, and when you bite, he is going to your body so that he will get a call. There were even times that the defender didn't touch him, but still gets the foul. So it's clearly foul baiting on his side and some acting too so to sell the call even if the referee that is very far from the play will call that foul. But I do agree that sooner or later the NBA is watching this and so they will make that adjustment and maybe not call that foul anymore on SGA.

Alperen realized that opponents are learning his moves and closing the lanes when he tries to drive to the basket. That's why he’s started focusing more on mid range jumpers. He needs to keep working on this, even if it means staying late after practice to get those shots down. Another thing is his focus during the games. sometimes he loses concentration. we can see when he argues with the refs or misses easy layups. He needs to play more like a machine and keep his emotions out of the game...

Spurs are one of the stronger teams in the league and in my opinion they are the favorites in this matchup.
Houston also have a strong roster, but I see the Spurs as the stronger side.

Oklahoma are currently playing against Cleveland and are in the lead, they will likely win this game.
