If they get Kawhi the championship is a lock for the Lakers. The superteams never end Whaaat? so this rumor is becoming of the buzz now. Super team but it doesn't mean that they are too good enough to become the champ for this season. An example is Houston Rockets, they are considered as super team last season. There's a huge difference between the Rockets and the Lakers superteam (if Kahwi joins). That Lakers line up plays hard on both ends of the floor and can move the ball well unlike that of the Rockets. It also boils down to the coach itself, Mike D'Antoni is know for his offense as well, that's why we could say that defense just take a back sit from Houston's page. And that is why James Harden has been called for years for being a mediocre defense himself because of the system built around Houston. And that is also why they cannot win the a NBA Finals. That kind of strategy of Mike D'Antoni never worked. He had done it with the Phoenix Suns using Steve Nash as like the James Harden by now. They went to Finals and Steve got 2 season MVP's but yet still short. Why? Defense. Defense wins a game. Leonard have defense. Draymond Green have defense. The San Antonio trio is almost a pure defensive team add up when they had Bruce Bowen on their team. The Pistons won a championship also because of defense. I remember back then when the Pistons play. If the score doesnt go beyond 100 points then it will be a Pistons win. A very good example is Michael Jordan. He took that Most Defensive Player as if telling all the players that it is their defense which made them win a lot of times. A pure offensive team cannot win a championship even if they put all the shooters there. I'd pick Patrick Beverley, Bruce Bowen, Draymond Green, Kawhi Leonard and Ben Wallace rather than: Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and add all the shooters here.

You just mentioned MJ the very man who's been hailed for being the very best player of all time, he's not only after for scoring but he also showed that in this sports both sides needs to be evaluated, he can score at you most of the time and he will also be there to give a good stop defending you to score back.

The latest news is that Celtics don't want to resign Kyrie so he is gone but they did it knowing they would have a back up. Kemba Walker got a 160 million offer from Charlotte instead of a 220 million one which I could understand because Hornets are not going anywhere with this team and for the past 15 years they haven't managed to really do anything so its time for them to start tanking and send Kemba away.
Celtics will get Kemba and Kyrie has a possibility of going to Nets because DLO Russel were eyeing to go to wolves as well, so you see that comes in a circle all around, Kemba to Celtics, Kyrie to nets and Dlo to wolves. Kawhi situation is still not over yet but everyone says that Kawhi is waiting to see where KD goes, if it is clippers than Kawhi may join him as well, they could have enough cap space to get them both.

Ok, thanks for the update, but I don't know if Kemba is a good suit for the Celtics though. I thought that Kyrie will go to NY Knicks, but he went to Nets. Let's see if D'Angelo will sign to the Lakers and join Bron and AD. . A few days ago there was some fan who dreams of a big 3 in Knicks, Zion, Durant and Kyrie, but I think it won't materialised.

Rumors again.
Lakers are reaching out for Patrick Beverley and Seth Curry. I just WOW'ed when I read it. Whoever is behind that Lakers management is getting serious. This is a wise move. 2 defensive player. I mean, they already have 2 of the best offensive players in the game then why not add some players who could do defense. Patrick Beverley is also a good shooter and so is Seth. This means they could also make some space for Lebron and AD.
I wont waste my remaining salary cap for just another superstar. Create a team that would fit best to make it look like a real team and not an all star. I will applaud if this goes well.

If this rumor is coming out, I wonder what will happen with the Lakers meeting with Kawhi. I really believe that spending the salary cap on another superstar (even as good as Kawhi ) without robust role players is a waste of money.

Free Agency News/Rumors 1. Durant will be announcing his decision tonight using this IG page. Only known offer is GSW's 5 year 221 million dollar contract so this might be it. 2. D'angelo Russell named Timberwolves as his top destination 3. Kemba Walker to Boston 4 yr/141 million $ 4. Kyrie likely headed to BKN with a similar contract to Kemba. 5. Dame Lillard agrees to a four year/ 196 million $ extension with the Blazers. A lot of deals going around especially when its not even allowed to happen before the start of the free agency. One thing to note that with Kyrie headed to Brooklyn the nets might just renounce Dlo's RFA status so he could move freely to any team he wants.

So far, I like how the current trading activity, rumors or not, is happening in the Eastern Conference. Good thing those people who are on the hot seat will surely not jump on the other side of the conference. We like to see again a competitive East next season like happen last season wherein we don't know who will be on the top (Boston Celtics got the most favorites last season to snatch the top spot on the East. Not Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, etc.).
Again in the East, as far as the latest reports are concerned, we can expect a piece of Kawhi Leonard's plan and decision for this week or two. He will be having meetings with different teams although I just don't know if there's another team pursuing him that not included in the hot teams that previously shown interest in acquiring Kawhi.
For now, people are all eyes for Kevin Durant's decision today although it might be obvious what will be his choice (or it might surprised us?). But we won't know until the announcement.

Say your average American makes 50k a year while Lebron makes $50 million a year and that is a low estimate. Lebron makes 1000x that, imagine working one thousand years to make what one person makes in a year. I understand that this is what the market dictates what is valuable but thinking about how insane it is.

There are a lot of people in the world that collects expensive shoes and just imagine then buying all of their releases every year, that is insane. No matter how expensive their shoes is, people still buy it because it is their shoes, that's what makes them rich.

I just saw it in youtube and I'm not surprised with his decision because of what happened to him last season against the Raptors. I think Irving too also signed with the Nets. (correct me ).

That's it, Kevin Durant surprised the NBA world with the confirmation of signing in Brooklyn Nets. And as anyone thoughts that he will be teamed up with D'Angelo Russell, no it won't happen as Russel will be part of the sign-in trade and from Nets to Warriors, the latter shown interest to Minnesota Timberwolves although they need to move some salary to create cap space. We don't know if KD will be the same KD after he recovers but his addition to the Nets will surely make Eastern Conference much more competitive again. And take note that Kyrie Irving might be landed here as well.
Dallas Mavericks fans out there; Porzingis signs max deal with DallasAs expected, 7-foot-2 unicorn Kristaps Porzingis agreed to sign a five-year, $158 million max deal with the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs traded for the big man from the Knicks before last season's deadline. The considered Dirk Nowitzki 2.0 will now be alongside with young Luka Doncic. I'm hoping for several seasons now that someday I will see them back in Playoffs.

These are still rumors right? because I've looked to an article and says that Nets will land Durant. DeAndre Jordan and Kyrie Irving to the Nets
And Irving isn't going to Nets but to Boston. Will wait for final announcement for these transfers.
