Will Melo be able to sign this year? As for me, YES. I pick YES because I think no one will bet for it based on the current Melo's situation that is almost no development or progress if some teams will still show interest to sign him. So basically, I'm the one who has the most risks here. BTC0.005 each for first 2 who will take the bet. This is very interesting, so this means we will know who will win by January 1, 2020? I like to reserve that first slot then if the answer to my question is yes. I will bet against you.

As much as I want to bet, but I have the feeling that Melo will sign to a team this year, somebody will make a consideration for him. Although, he isnt a good asset for the defensive end, yet he could still score a 10ppg. Thats still a good piece for the 2nd unit. So, I guess @harizen is confident with his bet, and I hope @Vaculin wont back off, since the decisions and speculations about Melo signing to a team is still uncertain.

From the current poll (with 16 votes), Lakers are leading which is understandable.
I picked Clippers and the darkhorse for next season could be Nuggets.
I wonder which team the people who voted "others" were thinking, Blazers perhaps?

I didn't voted for the Lakers by the way. just 16 votes, that's very small compared to the number of posters in the thread. I encourage everyone to cast their vote although this not really compulsory, we just want to see what the majorities opinion here. By the way, this preseason game today, another dominant performance by the Lakers against the Warriors. And good thing that Davis is already back in the line up.

Now, they have to ask themselves, do they want the money or do they want freedom of speech? Lebron said he wants the money obviously but he had no problem calling his own president out (rightfully so), then he should not be afraid of Chinese one neither.
Lebron and other stars who are popular all over the world should be the voice of the NBA, they should not be affected politically and they have to continue to their goal which is to entertain the crowd and the fans watching all over the world. I admire people who are never afraid of voicing our their opinion regardless of whom they are calling out. China has a big NBA fan based as well, we don't want to them to hate NBA due to political reasons only. I don't know why the manager of the nets tweet like that. I mean, they should only focus on entertaining their fans and avoid political issues. They should worry about the threat of China pulling away their support in the NBA. Why? Because NBA has a big market in China and that would be a big blow into their income as well.

This is a stupid move by every country, they are just serving their personal interest while not considering how people will be affected by this. hopefully this things will be sort out, NBA is an entertainment, and they are paying their athlete with the money they generate and that includes the international audience.

That's either the Mavs or Blazers. I saw some comments on youtube and facebook about the Mavs fans believed they have a shot to win the finals. Well, everything is possible. They have Doncic (which leads the Mavs last season) and they have Porzingis (which is the next Dirk), I can tell theres a potential but not now, maybe in the next 4 years if they choose to stay with the Mavs.

The team still looks solid with Dame and CJ still one of the best duo's today. While Mavs will still have to work on their chemistry with Porzingis. It takes time to blend, while Blazers have been thru tough times all together in the last 2 years.

Reports have it that Jalen Brown is not interested of the Celtic's $80M four-year extension. I think this move is appropriate for him since he has greatly improve and he could get more that the Celtic's offer once he become a free agent next season. Blazers has been consistent in the playoffs, they are building a great system and every season Dame and CJ are improving. Also, they have 2 good big man that will help them boost their defense, whiteside and Nurkic are both dominant in the post and let's hope that they will remain healthy so their chances will increase. Wow.. 20 million a year is a decent salary already, I hope he is not making a wrong move here.

This is not a good way to start the season for the Celtics. We have seen how reports like this have affected locker rooms and team performance. It's a pretty good offer imo. He is good for sure but not irreplacable.
I wonder which team the people who voted "others" were thinking, Blazers perhaps?

Same here, Blazers are a pretty good team and they have their 2nd that can step up anytime and in addition they are very efficient with their offense that's why we can expect a high scoring game if they play in any team as long as they will dictate the tempo. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are the best duo in the NBA, hopefully you'll agree, and they are very comfortable with their position that's why they are helping each other to give a win for the team. Their latest game against the Jazz where they won. https://www.covers.com/pageLoader/pageLoader.aspx?page=/data/nba/results/2019-2020/boxscore1006675.htmlLillard scored 25 while McCollum scored 28 points and that's both playing 29 minutes.

Sacramento Kings offered Buddy Hield 4 years/90M deal, but seems like he is looking for 4y/110M deal. Even tho those numbers are crazy, I think that Kings should give him those 110M, he is worth it. And on top of that, they offered Bogdan Bogdanovic 4 y/51.4M, but allegedly he is considering to wait and test his luck in free agency.
I really hope they keep both of those players, Kings were interesting team to watch.

Voted for other. OP seem to forget adding the team of Giannis which is the MVP last season, although they were dominated by the Raptors but Leonard was already with other team now, so their journey in the East is easier now as they have also dominated the celtics which is also a great team.

Bucks is third on the list mate. Raptors could still pose a threat to the three eastern teams on the voting list. Despite Leonard leaving, they still have a decent squad. 90M is a good price already. So many entitled players pushing their luck even though they haven't proven much yet. I wonder if the Kings' ticket sales is good enough for these players to demand more. That aside, I haven't watch any of the Kings games since the time of C-Web, Mike Bibby, Vlade, Doug, Peja.

Probably Brooklyn, even though their powerhouse isn't yet full because of Kevin Durant's absence, it is still a powerful team. Just like the Clippers, before Kawhi and PG came they have the bench power and they have a lot of powerful role players on their team. I just thought that if DLO will leave the team, Spencer would be the first five point guard of the team. Instead of him, Kyrie became the star but still this is a powerful team. As I was saying they are like Clippers, a team of role players that made it to playoffs and was added by 2 superstars but this one was added by another star.

Yeah i agree that 90M is already a lot of money, but it is a sellers market, hence all those crazy salaries. Question is, can they get someone better at this position for that money in free agency, as Hield played really good last season, he is still young and developing...

Buddy Hield was the only player not named Curry or Klay that had a high usage rate and had high three point attempts while still shooting on a decent %, he deserves every single penny he is given and should be maxed out no matter what the amount is, you can't give a guy like that too much money because he is still young and he is still learning a lot from playing and he is already good so it is only going to get better.
Kings have a good solid core as well so having Hield as the milestone of that roster would make a ton of difference for them, they will not be a contender for years unless something changes but he would be difference between a tanking for picks team versus a team that is looking to be a playoff team. Playoff teams make much more money as well so he deserves to get paid.

Yep, well said. Buddy Hield is 20 pts per game player, with 40%+ 3pts shooting on high usage, 25 yo, so he is entering into his best years. And those kind of players you will have to pay, if not you, someone else will gladly give him 110M/4 years. And somehow i doubt that Kings can attract some good free agents. It would be smart to keep Bogdanovic too, he is also still developing.

He deserved to be maxed out he's averaging 20+ points per game and he's really a good three pointer that is staying at 42% figures. And I want to point out the bold word, "young." I really think that he is already in his prime or very soon to reach it but I guess that he needs to stay in the team for like 5 years to be maxed out. Please correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I know it.
