I myself have underestimated them at the start of the post season. I though they were just lucky they get passed the Lakers in the first round because Davis struggle to play throughout that series. But they proved me wrong. Ayton, Booker, CP3, and the rest of the Suns seems like in a perfect sync this post season.
Even If they can't win the Finals this year, I believe they'll still be intact next season as they are a power house team in the West.
It will be harder for them to win the next championship because the Lakers and other strong teams have enough time to rest until next season. I mean, players won't be injured as often as they have been this season. Anyway, the Suns have all chance to win this final if they will be playing as well as in the first game.

Everyone seems to be talking about the Suns winning in the Finals, what if the Bucks will win in game 2? what would be the speculation then? I get it, the Suns had a great game 1 performance, but we still can't deny that the Bucks came from hard-fought before going to the NBA Finals, therefore, I believe they'll not easily give up the fight here and would bounce back soon.
Giannis in game 1 did not produce lots of points, since I think what happen he is still thinking about his legs, and we might see a different Giannis in game 2, and its more of adjustments, for every team, so I'm not counting out the bucks and declare the suns the champ, remember the bucks also down a game in the playoffs and they all beat those teams.

Any thoughts on this superteam rumors? I guess the Warriors will be too overrated again with this and may just create some hype. Here's the article: https://fadeawayworld.net/nba/3-powerful-superteams-that-could-be-created-next-season

Maybe he was still rusty in game 1 and probably that injury is not yet 100% healed. If it's good already, the defense played a big role in containing him specially in the second half of the game. But just like the hallmark of any superstar (he is a MVP), he will adjust in game 2 as they have seen how and what defense they are throwing against him.

Still early to call the Suns the NBA champions, this is just game 1, a lot of things can happen. It's going to be a chess game from here on.

I very much like teams with just 2 stars in it and fill it with average roleplayers with the skills they specialize at. i.e. Danny Green - sharpshooter
A lot of rumors will come out and most of it will be about making super teams, it's not fun because it will take out the balance of the game again.

Still far from that not unless Bucks will not adjust and try to more harder,

Giannis is one of the factors for them but if they managed to win without him better to keep that intensity and keep playing as a team.

Bucks other stars (Holiday and Middleton) they need to start the fire to stay up and close, they able to close this game in the first half they just need to keep that same momentum and not to allow the Suns to dictate the game.

Everyone adjusted when Giannis goes back to the starting five. Middleton did a great job, but Holiday has missed some shot that he supposed to make and have some lay up drive that he misses too.

Probably it's all jittery on the side of Bucks, but they have reach this far, the team is so resilient specially against the highly touted Nets. So the adjustments will be seen in game 2 here. I wouldn't be surprised in they pull a win and then go back to their back yard to take a lead in this series.

I guess that will be the case unless there's someone who might be willing to a salary decrease which is too rare scenario. That's why I do love this guy Chris Paul (though I'm not a fan) because instead of forming a superteam again he chose this time to lead younger players and he now got a chance to got a ring.

agree, it is hard to expect that someone will be willing to decrease salary to join a superteam, there are chances with every team, and Paul case proves that
on the other side, if one agree to decreased salary, it indirectly proves that he is worst than others in the team, reduces minutes in the game, and all other things that are directly related with status in the team, and ring is a good motive, but it is never certain that one will get ring in the end
Suns are going to get the title this season Smiley

Nah, Chris Paul case is different, after Houston, he had a hard time getting into a team because of his huge salary. He ended up in OKC, but guess what, just after a year he was traded to Phoenix Suns. He didn't have a choice, he can't go to other teams to form superteam. It just so happen that he was a perfect fit to the Phoenix Suns.

He was about to make it with the Lakers during Kobe's time, until former NBA commissioner intervene and says No.

Paul is the hot topic now, and he might win the NBA Finals MVP if the suns will be successful in beating the BUcks. CP3 is old already, he deserves to win a championship before he retires. The funny thing is, the Suns had their first playoffs appearance after a while and now they are the favorites to win the NBA Finals.

I think we've seen some stars before that allow to decrease their salary just to accommodate a star player to get a championship. Some players especially if they have made multi-millions in years of playing but still not won an NBA champion would be okay with reducing their salary just to acquire a star player to form a super team, it's a case to case basis actually as every player has their own intention, in CP3's case, he doesn't need to.

Most of the players today are chasing a ring before they retire maybe its because they want to show it to their son and grandson, unlike before, but it's their decision we can't do anything about it, in the past few years there are lots of players who made a decision to cut their salary to join a super team some succeed some fail.

Kendrick Perkins believes that CP3's journey to NBA Finals is amazing, he didn't hack the system by joining a super team like other star players. So if we win this NBA Finals, this would be a great achievement for him.

About game 1, I think that's great, I mean the Suns won the game but it's still game 1, the bucks will surely adjust and come back, I like to believe that this season will be a long one.
If that is the case for CP3 and how he "deserves" to win a ring, then we can say that Giannis deserves it the same way as well.

If giannis joined a super team he would have won a ring very very easily, but he didn't and he stayed with the team that drafted him all these years and he is trying to get a ring with them, there is no super team around him, the next best player is Kris Middleton and third is Jrue Holiday, just because they made it to finals do not tell me they are star players because they are not and I wouldn't put them in my top 20 of the league in any day, probably Jrue would be even out of top 50 if I can push the limit (although he deserves to be top 50 to be fair) so it is not really that fair to say that CP3 didn't join any super team so he should be win and his win will worth more, same can go for Giannis as well. In the end both teams do deserve it and let the best one win is my approach.

Yeah, both superstars really deserve to win, but CP3 is just more popular now due to his performance in the WCF, which on the other hand, Giannis was absent in two games that they won. However, it's still too early to tell that the Suns would win, the Bucks still has an opportunity to bounce back and make this series more exciting.

I was planning to search for articles about Paul's trade to Suns so thank you for saving me the time.

CP3 deserves all the praise he's receiving for his achievements with the Suns but to say that he chose not to join a super team is another matter. It's as if he has a say on which team he'd be traded with which isn't often the case for all NBA players.

Actually, his trade to the Suns was a blessing for him, he proves that the problem is not him but his teammates as we can see with this current team now that he is doing well being the leader of the team. Yes, the Suns have Booker as their franchise player, but Booker is humble, he doesn't have an attitude like James Harden who's ego is high, and that resulted in success as they play together with only one leader.

I lose my pick last time, Bucks let me down but in game 2 they should not.

As the Bucks are already healthy and sure Giannis had adjusted already, I believe we will see a different Bucks and game 2 and they could snatch a road game tonight. Therefore, I got the Bucks winning (small bet) and big on the point spread (4.5).

Good luck everyone!

Remember games are still in Phoenix so far as well, Suns have that advantage of playing at home, and I know because of pandemic the home advantage became a bit less important these days but I remember back in the day we have seen plenty of winning at home twice then losing twice at road and so forth, teams trying very hard to steal one game at road games and such, it was a thing in the past but with the formation of super teams and such suddenly we are too used to teams winning all together and sweeps.

I would say Bucks could lose even this game and they still have a chance as long as they can win their home 2 games, however if they lose 2 more games back to back that will maek it 3-0 and that's game, I do not think that they could come back from that, I doubt it would even be possible if it became 2-1 first and then 3-1 because Bucks probably can't come back from 3-1 down neither. So they should put all their chips into home games %100 guaranteed wins no matter what.

Cant really make out some conclusions that Bucks is already losing this game.We are still on game 1 of the series and there would be still 3 more win left for Suns to secure the trophy.

As we all know that as long the game or series isnt finished then chances or tendency of comebacks is really possible no matter if its 3-0 or 3-1.

We have seen similar situations before when it comes to comeback situations so dont cross out that probability.

I was thinking the same. The home game today has lesser intensity than before the pandemic. The home crowd's roar can shake up a player. But I think the Suns crowd today is enough. As an evidence, Paul George missed 2 clutch free throws during the Suns-Clippers game 2. I don't If the crowd bothered him or he just became terrible on ft pg.

Anyway, the Bucks should win this one or else they'll be in a deep trouble. If the Suns pull a 2-0 at home and steal another win on the 2 road games. A 3-1 comeback would be really hard for the Bucks, especially against a team who's on a winning momentum and as good as the Suns.

That's right, but on the other hand, I also understand why some fans thought the Suns will have an easy win in the series, CP3 has been doing pretty well and the rest of the gang, so on the paper, they are the better team, but as people said, it could be a long series, so let's watch and enjoy and cheer.

Game 2 is gonna start in 3 and half hours.
