Kyrie Irving has even started bashing his sponsors now. In an Instagram post today he mocked the latest Kyrie8 show design and urged his fans not to buy it, claiming he wasn’t involved in the design and marketing process. This guy is a cancer to everything he touches. I think the Nets would be wise to explore a trade for Westbrook and reunite the Thunder 3. I have my doubts as to whether Kyrie can be a part of another championship team.

I am not a player shoe fan but this is something they had been with disagreement with sponsors. Nike will just keep on making shoes if they need sales even without prior notice on whom the player they will name it too. I hope Kyrie also read his contract before signing it. If it's there he can't do anything about it. It's all about the money.
Lebron also had the same issues before with disagreement on designs of the shoes after Hatfield stopped designing for him.

Rumours have been circulating as well that Kyrie will be traded by the Nets. Remember in the beginning he doesn't want to play or strange reasons. Now he gets the ire of Nets management and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets traded.

Now for the shoes, I haven't read it fully, but being a professional athlete, he should talk first to Nike and smooth things out instead of going out in public. Again, this is not good for his image. And he might drop by Nike for doing this.

Maybe this is good to do by Nets since for sure they will get a problem in future with Kyrie if they keep him knowing that he's hard headed and want to be the main guy on the team, they have durant which is unstoppable and they  also have Harden who already prove his self that he is not a ball hog and can share the ball to his teammates. Maybe the one they need now is a player who can play defense and  give huge hustle and they will be a perfect team in my  opinion if they accumulate that type of player.

This guy Kyrie really has an attitude. He think highly of himself, he can't even carry a team.
He's comfortable doing this because he knows he's one of the biggest market attraction with his signature shoes, and Nike won't easily cut ties with Kyrie.

I'm not saying they own a superstar, they are binded into a contract and it's inappropriate for a player who is endorsing a product to mock it, that doesn't make sense at all, why not just cut the contract and look for other companies that will trust him to endorse their product.

Look, before Kyrie got popular, Nike is a very successful company already, Irving would not make millions if he was not hired to do the job for the company, and the company could hire another superstar to promote their product, but if Irving will not get a contract, he will not make millions.

It's been almost a day since Kyrie made that post but why still no news or source backing the Nike here? They should release a statement even a short one.

Remember that Kyrie shoe sales are one of the tops and that being said, many NBA players even wear it on the actual game. It makes sense that he's the one giving Nike the most benefits here.

Agree with you on that matter, let's side with our emotion as that's all we can do now, since I assume it's true, then I will side with the Nike here. IMO, Nike would not issue any statement even if it's true as it will only create a scandal and it's not good for the sales of the Nike.

look one bad statement of their endorser could result to a drop of sales, probably millions of dollars, but that would not affect much to the endorser as he is already paid either in full or partial.

Nike does not want this to happen to them.

Wow the discussion about the shoe just got longer.   I hope they can enlighten the world on how this player contracts with this big companies are being done and perhaps Kyrie should re-read his own and show some in the public if the whole paper is not permitted. Just a glimpse. I am still waiting for the known analysts to dissect this topic and maybe we could share some here.

As it turns out Simmons is at a level where Sixers are looking for a big overhaul for him. It is obvious that he is not going to get traded for this many assets, he honestly worths maybe like one or two first rounders plus a salary filler at this point, because who are you going to really draft that will be so much worse than him? I think no matter who you pick, unless it is a bust then you are going to pick a player that can probably score better than him, maybe not defend as well but can score better than him enough to cover that difference.

This dude scored less than 10 points per game against Hawks, you really think that people could give 4 first round picks?? That is insane ask from Sixers. What I assume will happen is that Simmons is upset about all of this, and he will want to leave as well, Sixers will not be able to get what they want, and Simmons will force them to lower their price one by one and eventually they will have to trade for much less.

Draft tonight!  Knicks got their 19 and mavs 21st and an early 2nd (which is like a backend 1st round pick)  hoping they make some deals they don't need 4 draft picks.  Going to need some guards to come in as they are going to lose a couple.  Can't wait to see the haul.  Anyone else excited for the draft???

Yeah I seen that too.  I think russ to the Lakers males sense.  He won't have to carry the load.  And he can get his own buckets at will.  That's what they need is someone who can get their own whenever need be.  Right now they have a lot of guys who sit around and watch brow and Bron play their game and get the scraps.  Russ can win games by himself, Kuma can't be that.

I thought that the Lakers-Kings trade has been done but it seems like it hasn't finalized yet.

TBH, if this trade will be done then it is hard to pick which team is the winner at least for me. Yes the Lakers got a reliable and a talented triple-double guy in Westbrook but lets not forget the contributions that Trez KCP and Kuz to the Lakers team. Trez and KCP are a good defenders and Kuz is a good role player at least. Its just unfortunate that they got Harrell in Clippers but they didn't utilize him when he is in the Lakers. If this trade will happen then he might redeem himself in the Wizards.

The only problem is his lack of IQ especially in the playoffs, this guy is 100% a star in the future, and we have to give him a try, maybe if he play with other teams he will improve. Spurs management is good in developing players, we have seen players that started with Spur and are very valuable in their current team now, even the coach of the Bucks, he used to be an assistant coach of Gregg Popovic.

We have different opinions . You might believe that he will be a star in the future but for me he isn't. Lets just hope that he will land into a team that will train him very hard to the point that they will let him shoot threes and improve his free throw shooting because I agree with what you said that his stats are better than the average player but when you need him, he can't be trusted and we saw this against the Hawks.

Obviously, the Lakers will still be the big winner in the offseason trades, however, that is just on paper as we hype the Lakers last season but it turns out the trade or acquisition of players did not work well. By the way, is Drummond staying with the Lakers? they still had Gasol, right?

Yup, it gonna be Showtime again, we all know that Russ loves to run with the ball and with James and Davis at the wing, we might see them having a good time with fast break dunks. But they need some perimeter guys as well, that can defend to opposing teams main man. Russ doesn't want to play defense or at least stay away from fouling anyone. So just imagine if both teams are healthy, Lakers vs Nets in the finals next season, that will be fire. James vs KD, Westbrook vs Harden. I think its a win-win for both teams, Harrell was not a perfect fit to the Lakers and Kuzma, oh well, we see him choking in the playoffs. KCP is a 50-50 to me, although it seems that he also play below par in the series against Phoenix. I remember James urging him to shoot the ball.
