Looks like the Lakers will be more frustrated after this game because almost everybody in the team has missed some crucial shots in the 4th quarter especially the miss easy layup of Westbrook. Man! this Lakers team right now not gonna make the playoffs with this kind of play let alone winning another championship. Gonna give the credit to Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies, the second chance putback by Ja was amazing and they managed to get the win.

Wow, another huge lost for the Lakers again, almost leading the rest of the game and then missing a lot of shots down the stretch and allowing Ja Morant to score 41 points against them.

Probably this game is another nail in the coffin for the Lakers in hoping to get into the finals, or make the playoffs. Lebron though, another big game with 37 points but his team mates are not responding.

Another frustrated night for Lakers and you can see his expressions. How can they allow the Memphis to make a comeback in this game and then missing shots on their own in the 4th?

WB triple double, but him and Monk and Lebron are the only one who score double digit.

Anthony 30 minutes of play 5 points, Avery Bradley 7 points, 32 minutes.

Sacramento Kings Chimezie Metu!!!! Wow! 3 points shot buzzer-beater to win the game against the 2 point lead of the Dallas Mavericks.
Didn't expect that and I think the Mavs players didn't too. Fox attacked the paint and they are expecting he will shoot it for overtime but the unselfishness of him won and passed it to Metu who is open at the outside line.
Great night at Sacramento. Add the standing ovation for Isaiah Thomas.

Buzzer beaters gotta be the worst thing for the opposing team after thinking they’ve won. They left him wide open! Nobody expected metu to take that shot. The mavericks need some serious help, they werent the same after rick carslile left and the  players  did bad like powell, he really lft him open for that game winner. On the other hand, if Chimezie Metu  can knock down that 15 ft shot on a regular basis. He'll increase his playing time.

Nobody wants to go 1-5, especially not after a crucial win against Houston where people thought that the Lakers are back.

They are now at the bottom of the playoff race and I think that it'll be a matter of time before they drop out.

In other news, Celtics just had one of the worst 3-pt shooting nights of all time with an accuracy of less than 10% on 40+ attempts. Crazy...

I'm not a Lakers fan but man, seeing them in the game makes me frustrated too, I mean, how did they lose like that. LeBron as always making an effort to maintain the lead with the help of Westbrooke and Monk. They're always on the lead from the 1st until the end of 3rd quarter, but that lead was again because of James's effort but Morant and Bane always have an answer for that. I'm quite impressed on the Memphis that they're not letting the Lakers to have a huge lead gap.

Ofcourse, the Mavericks didn't expect that and they didn't see that coming. A huge example to never celebrate early and because of that they lowered their guards and chased Fox to deny his shots which eventually made them left Metu wide open outside to have the buzzer-beater 3 points shot. Credits to Fox who made the right decision for trusting Metu to secure their win. Surely, the Mavericks now is so frustrated and they will be celebrating New Year with a dismay.

Let's just accept the fact that LeBron can't carry a team at this age anymore. Yes, he can score whenever he needs to step up, just like to tonight, he was forced to take most of the shots because of his teammates inconsistencies and lack of defense.
Playing small ball doesn't work either for them lol. If Davis don't play the same level as he usual play when he comes back, the Lakers is done for this season.

There was another competitive game last night this time between Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers. Grizzlies managed to defeat Lakers by a 104-99 score and Morant played a huge role in this win for Grizzlies. He showed one of his greatest performances by 41 points and 10 rebounds. Lebron James had a marvelous game as he scored 37 points and was so close to making a triple-double (13 rebounds, 7 assists). But as Westbrook couldn't contribute too much with his points, they couldn't defeat Grizzlies. He is just an inconsistent player and he doesn't deserve to play here I believe.

Tough night for Russ, even how hard LeBron tried to carry the Lakers he can't do it without the effort of his team.

While with the Memphis the players who surround Morrant are doing their part to cover and help him in every role that
he needed the lift.

I can say that I'm also agreeing with you. I don't think Russ is fit for how LeBron plays this game. He's not producing
the numbers that the team expecting from him.

When Lakers won the last night, Russ is fit with Lebron. When they lose tonight against the Grizzlies, Russ is not fit now. And the cycle goes...

We should not blame their losing event on a single player. What are the other guys doing? No one is stepping up, no one has the guts to take over, they are literally just going with the flow either LBJ or Russ.

That problem needs to be addressed by the whole team.

A leader is useless if the whole team is not cooperating. He is putting in all the works, effort, and loads but still not enough to carry the team. I think the Coach should be responsible for this. If he sees someone is struggling, like Westbrook even at the end he managed to get a triple-double, he should lessen the playing time of WB and allow others to fill the role. But the problem is, once their backup players are now on the floor, they are not playing on their usual. Some guys in the Lakers can't handle the pressure of a close game.

Looks like a different Kyrie Irving shows to the media recently after getting back to practice. The way he spoke, he is not that arrogant nor annoying and he is really grateful for his comeback. There's still no mention of when is the ETA of Irving's return officially on the court but not ruling out that it might be on January 5 against the Indiana Pacers.

Kyrie Irving returns to court ... and mic, talks ramp-up and ‘respect’ for Nets decision

That's great news, we missed Irving a lot and good thing that he realized that the team really needs him despite the fact that they are leading in the East now. Hopefully, he keeps training while he is out so we will still see the same Irving who is really good in the court.

Durant, Irving, and Harden, if these three are all healthy, might win a championship this season.

Maybe the frustrations are already building inside, if Lebron is a real leader, he would help to fix this problem and get their ass together so they'll reach the playoffs. They have been losing games already against a playoffs team, so if they are consistent that way, they'll stand no chance in the first round in case they are lucky they'll qualify.

But isn't it odd that this sort of thing always happens to LeBron-led teams?

E.g. people blamed the Cavs' coach Tyron Lue for their crappy record back when LeBron was there, but really the problem was LeBron himself - his play style only meshes well with certain players and not others.

And he always needs the limelight, so it's difficult for players to adjust around him.

They didn't blame the coach, remember that Ty Lue won a championship with the Cavaliers.

The struggle only starts when Irving left the Cavaliers, and since we know that Lebron could not handle his team without another superstar, so the struggle begins and we see how Lebron being different from Kobe who can lead the team for success.

What could be the reason...? Money?  Cheesy His trainer said he was still the same Kyrie after practice like he didn't even go to health and safety protocol.
But as of my own feelings about him, I am not that excited anymore unlike the first time Brooklyn Nets took him in.
Maybe he could showcase his skills again to get back all the fans that he lost. I am sure many of them do feel the same way as we do.
This is better, non-arrogant, just tell the facts, don't create stories or made-up things. Just be real and play the game that you love. That's if he does still love playing hoop. According to him, he does, but who knows if this is just for the purpose of getting back.

Not sure if it's the money but most likely only money would change his decision. I mean, in every game that he didn't play, he is not paid for it, so most likely he realized that he is losing millions of dollars if he cannot keep this long since his principles will never feed him.

Another amazing game for the Chicago Bulls last night. Still missing their two best defenders in Ball and Alex C, yet they still absolutely blew the pants off of the Hawks. Obviously they could have won by a lot more had they really wanted to. This team is just so exciting!

Russ was never fit with Lebron, they are both main ball handlers and that's how they have been for a while and having two "main" ball handlers will be a problem. When you have one great passing guy, who likes to drive inside, and dish out to three pointers, you get three point shooters. They wanted to get Buddy Hield instead of Westbrook and if they did that, it would have been so much different.

Right now, with covid cases are getting out of hand and AD is out, I have to say it is understandable for Lakers to be bad. Remove Lebron from the team and they are worse than Cavs when Lebron first left the team. It is nothing but a tanking team to be fair. Only reason why they are even close to 50% right now is the fact that they have Lebron playing insanely well. At his age, playing nearly 40 minutes a game, scoring 30+ points a night and Lakers are still losing.
