I wonder how Nets lost to Grizzlies home by a this many point difference last night. I was even expecting Nets to defeat them with the help of KD and Harden. But their performances combined wasn't that impressive unfortunately. Morant and Bane played a big role in this win for certain. Morant got 36 points and Bane got 29. And Morant got 6 reb and 8 ast also which was a really solid performance. I really admire his performance in this season. Especially in the last 4 games, he made a really huge effort.
Who wouldn't have thought that the Nets playing at home are going to lose? However, Morant alone is really playing very good in the last 5 games or so, chances are they are going to pull an upset and that is what they did. And as long as he is healthy, I think the Grizzlies will create more problems to any other teams. Specially Morant's athleticism, just a beauty watching this kid mature and with those highlights and high flying alleyoops.

This is a very disappointing loss for the Nets at their own home. I expected Grizzlies to give them a tough fight, but not win with a margin of this much. KD and Harden had an average game and I think that Nets are relying quite a lot on these two senior players for their success which is not optimal for the long run.

As they are growing old, their performances will also start to decline and they won't be able to perform on the highest tier every game and the Nets need to take this into account before playing every game. Congrats to Morant and Bane for playing that much good.

Both Durant and Harden lead the team but they have a bad shooting night.
Durant was only 8-24, while Harden has 5-14 shooting. Also, their 3 point shooting was very poor with 29% only overall.

With that losing streak, The Bulls are enjoying the ranking at the top as they are now the number 1 seed in the East, and looks like Bucks can overtake the Nets in the 2nd spot if they continue to lose.

Looks like Kyrie will be back on the floor for the Nets against the Pacers on Wednesday for his season debut. It will be interesting to see if he fits in right away or if there’s a struggle with him running the offense. Given how the rule changes effected James Harden this year, Kyrie is most assuredly a welcomed addition to the team.
Him and Klay are the top 2 most awaited players to play again this season but I'm still waiting for Klay's return Cheesy.

He is in conditioning phase right now and for the first time since the season started, he will play on the 5th of January. For sure many fans are excited about how much impact and changes can he give with the team. Will his return be beneficial or it is the other way around. Will he help Durant and Harden or its the opposite. They need a comeback after a homecourt loss to Memphis Grizzlies and they will do it with Kyrie.

The Brooklyn Nets is now on it's 3rd consecutive loss with a 14 points difference (104-118), Morant and Bane have dominated the game from the start until the end of 4th quarter leaving Durant and Harden helpless to recover. So, Irving's return is really a big help and will be beneficial to the team to recover their loss as their big 3 have it's own individual strengths. If the Big 3 is complete, we we'll see how would they react against their opponents. Chemistry isn't going to be a problem on this team.

Nets have been on a losing streak and the absence of Irving is quite visible on the pitch. They need that PG talent and building up from Irving. The KD-Harden-Irving combination could be quite deadly and might be able to end their slump of 3 losses in a row.

I haven't seen the updates, can anyone confirm by when Irving will be available to play?

I hope he can return as soon as possible otherwise Nets will be in quite big trouble as Irving is an important piece of the puzzle for them.

And just like that, the Warriors (115) have defeated the Heat (108).

This is exactly why the Warriors is on a different scale and level compared to the other teams, except their star players this team is no doubt consisted of very talented key players like Wiggins, Payton, Porter, especially the star of the night Jordan Poole who made an impressive 32 points (12/17 FG). While Curry isn't so exhausted because Steve Kerr is always putting him on bench to avoid injuries, like on the 4th quarter, Curry only stepped on with just a minute left to maintain the gap.
As to the Heats, Herro and Lowry really deserves some credits for playing 42 minutes and 39 minutes respectively with almost no rest in the whole game.

I'm pretty excited for the next week's game, it's the Warriors vs. the Bulls.

^ This is why a really good squad depth comes in handy for GSW. They have both the quality players and squad depth. Curry is getting very good support from the bench so that he doesn't get injured. Jordan Poole and Wiggins had a really good game. Poole had 32 points and 5 assists, and Wiggins had 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists. Heat also played a very good team game but it was not quite enough to take home the win. All in all, a very well-played game for GSW and they actually deserved the win.

NBA All Star is near and the first voting updates will be revealed January 6. Submit your votes. Time for our stars to have their share of fun and showcase sportsmanship.

I may have Steph Curry for GSW but I am thinking about voting Draymond Green at the frontcourt. When it comes to defense, he can surely give us an entertaining game especially with how competition has changed after they changed the format of it. KD for the East, no doubt about that and Giannis.

I think that Miami Heat is still doing a great job in the absence of some of their important players. They have many missing players due to covid-19 and injuries. But they still put up a very good fight against Golden State Warriors last night. Maybe they lost to Warriors by 115-108 but it was really close. And in this one, Curry wasn't the one who carried the team to this win. This time, Jordan Poole and Wiggins had this role. Especially Poole really impressed me by his performance of 32 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists.

This is somewhat of an above average week for NBA fans.  We've got Kyrie making his season debut for the New Jersey Nets tomorrow, then we've got Klay making his season debut for the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.  Plus, we've got the all star voting kicking off...  TNT also returns to airing NBA games on Thursday with their first NBA on TNT night of 2022.  A good week.  Tonight, I'll be keeping my eyes on the Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Lakers.  Both teams seem anxious for some sort of roster mix up, but I think LeBron will be able to bring the Lakers the W tonight.

I mean I get he is really good on defense but I think his bark is bigger than his bite.  As far as center or power forward I think there are just too many other players in the West who are better than him.  When steph isn't on the court draymond looks lost.

It's very common for Steve Kerr to let his starplayers rest during times like these that their opposing team does have a handicap due to lot of missing players, especially Curry because their team cannot really afford to have an injury especially Thompson's isn't available yet to play.
While J. Poole is really in command and taking the teams lead until the end of the game, he was very impressive in today's game considering that his average PPG this season is 17.6 points.
It was always a joke among the fans during the unanimous mvp year Curry had where he would leave during third quarter because he would take the difference to such a high level that he never really had to play in fourth quarters. Considering the only year they had injury trouble became their demise for the past few seasons, it was a smart decision to not really play him too much.

Let's see how the season will end for them but Klay is coming back as well and he has months to be in shape for playoffs, that's all they need him for, regular season will be easy for them anyway. If Klay comes back and shoots like he used to, I am 90%+ sure that Curry will have even less load, right now he is the best shooter in the team and the only shooter who is that good, with Klay on the floor I am pretty sure that Curry will not be doubled teamed that easily, people will have to defend Klay too which will allow Curry to be playing easier.

Yeah, the Heat had a good performance against the Warriors. I think they might even have won GSW if Butler hadn't been injured in the 3rd quarter. By the way, there is news that Butler has only a minor ankle sprain. It means that his injury isn't so serious as it looked at first, and he will probably miss only a week or so.

Never know regarding Kyrie.

I personally think that it's not really worth it to have him from the Nets' perspective.

Right now the way to go about winning is just having people available on your team. You don't need to do anything fancy per se or have a super team - just have a solid roster of 10 players ready to go.

Klay doesn't have that star mentality. He loves to play the game, unlike Kyrie, who has so much inside his mind that he's really important.

We never know what the real score about Kyrie unless we see him wearing Nets uniform and start playing, other than that fans are just waiting

for him, no doubt that there are lots of fans who love the way he plays, less attitude, he's one of the prime star from this league.

Just have that attitude issue which should not be tolerated.

I personally think that that is false.

Klay definitely does have the star mentality, it's just that he can also thrive in situations where he is not the primary ball handler, which is why he is so valuable.

There are tons of divas out there that proclaim to have a "star mentality" but simply can't play with others without generating conflict. Kyrie and Harden are probably great examples of this type and it's certainly not desirable.

One of the best teams in the league and at the same time, giving us more excitement when watching him play. Another win for the Grizzlies Memphis today and a huge contribution from Ja Morant.
Thankfully he's back again after he was out for a couple of games and he's showcasing his skills again like an MVP.

I lose my bet on this game but Ja Morant is really awesome. 2 consecutive road games without a day to rest but they can still win against the Cavaliers and also take note, their yesterday win was against the Brooklyn Nets.  Shocked Amazing.
Another note is they are playing without Dillon Brooks who is a top contributor to the team. When Ja was injured, Grizzlies had been winning and there are rumors they are better without him but this proves them wrong. They are now at 5th winning streak and I bet Ja won't stop there.

I lose my bet on this game but Ja Morant is really awesome.

He is fun to watch.  Amazing how he goes up to try and dunk over anyone despite being the lightest player in the NBA.  His bounce is not human.  He's young enough that he'll be able to do some amazing things for years to come.  Easily the best highlights in the league.

Today is the day...  Kyrie taking the floor for the Nets to try and help them snap a 3 game losing streak against the Pacers.  I just wish it was being televised nationally so I'd get the opportunity to watch it, but I'll settle for catching highlights on ESPN/youtube...

Aside from Gary Payton II, Morant is another player that is always creating highlights every game. His vertical is just out of the roof. He is like prime Gerald Green where he can put his head on to the rim. The Grizzlies as a whole team is doing well in their last games. Winning their last 5 games with Morant leading the scoring in every game. Lets take note too that the Grizzlies is a young team composed with young players. This team has a bright future just don't trade some of their key players like Morant, Bane and Jackson.

Today is the day...  Kyrie taking the floor for the Nets to try and help them snap a 3 game losing streak against the Pacers.  I just wish it was being televised nationally so I'd get the opportunity to watch it, but I'll settle for catching highlights on ESPN/youtube...
I want to watch him live but I think I'll just watch the highlights on Youtube as always Cheesy.

Grizzlies are just on a great winning streak now. They had an away game against Cleveland last night and got another win by 110-106 this time. And this was their 6th win in a row. Ja Morant wasn't too impressive when it comes to his field goal made percentage. But he still was one of the top scorers of the game with 26 points. He is so young and takes big responsibilities for his team. It is a big joy to watch him playing.

Who's waiting for this wonderful day of NBA?

Klay Thompson Could Make His Awaited Return on January 9
What can we expect on the first day of his return?

Will he be inserted in the starters right away? or will he earn a lot of minutes in his first game?
