Bookies are insisting that Knicks are the better team in this series vs Heat and I see totally different than them. I see Heat as a finals contenders right now and last night it was Heat to played poorly rather than Knicks played good but I can see this series going down until game 7 with Heat moving further.

The Knicks are struggling even without Butler, but how significant is his injury for the series? Will he come back in Game 3 or will he need more time to heal? Based on the current record, the Heat already have the edge, but if Butler doesn't return, I think the Knicks will use that as an advantage to try and steal a win.

His destroying the reputation of the team with his trash talks, and I guess we will all agree if I will say that he's the one who trash talks the most in the whole Grizzlies roster, but isn't converting it into stats, and still performing very awfully all throughout the season, and in this last playoffs against the Lakers.

Nevertheless, now that we know that the Grizzlies will not get him again, I wonder which team will try to get him? I don't that the Warriors is willing to take a player with that kind of attitude, and it's a very different story with Westbrook and Pat Bev, yeah they trash talk but at the end of the day they try to deliver and it's part of their competitive nature.

As compare to Brooks, who says up front that he doesn't like the Warriors including Draymond and the rest. So that's attacking the team itself and there's no competitiveness in that statement, it's just pure hate or he is really envious of the success of the Warriors organization. And he talking about dynasty? right now players are going to laugh at this fool for his statements and his performance in the playoffs.

To bad for brooks he is really a total bad ass which create a bad vibes on their team. And now nba fans throw so much hate on him and provably it can affect his teammates to so provably he will be totally kick out on Grizzlies since he is bad influence to Ja and Bane.

Also for sure even Warriors will not want that guy to be part of that team since Brooks always says bad words against them especially to their stars so it will be bad if they let this guy enter on their rotation since this will be a huge mess for them.

Damn, we are on a road trip so I couldn't watch the Warriors, 1st playoff game I missed this postseason.

Just watched the highlights and it was just as expected, huge problems under the basket because of Davis.

Dubs shot almost 40% from 3 and it still wasn't enough, probably because of the off game of Klay.

Watched the highlights without knowing the result and had high hopes when GSW tied the game short before the end thanks to a 14:0 run, and that was it.

Next game might be do or die already. If they lose this one they have to win 3 games in LA, tough task.
Lebron won't go shooting 9/24 again so they better be ready.

That's why Anthony Davis is the key to another championship if he can stay healthy throughout this series and win it because they know how to beat the Denver if they ever met at the Western Conference finals because they beat them once already in the past without a problem. I'm sure the GSW will gonna fix their game and will try hard to make a comeback because this round is so much important for them. they are facing the Lakers and LBJ which we know have been rivals for years now and also the fans already making huge noise after that 1 win by the Lakers.

Davis certainly performed very well in the first game against the Warriors. However, if the Lakers really want to contend for another championship, they need Davis to be not only healthy but stable as well. For example, there were at least a couple of games in the previous round where Davis was terrible on offense and couldn't really score. At times like this, the Lakers look helpless and overly dependent on Davis' performance.

You are right, but still though, he can still play defense, but the thing is that he had this attitude, the negativity that every time he open is big mouth, you will hear blabber and I do agree that it is a very negative vibes for the team and the organization he represents which is Memphis. And it did carry to others as well, we know that issues with Ja Morant last February or March and it created more negativity when Brooks attitude, his technical fouls. It will be ok if he can back up the talks, but when he faces like the Lakers this series or even Warriors in the regular season, he can't deliver any.

@NotEssBeeF - Maybe coach Doc Rivers insists on getting small in this series so that they can run. And maybe Harrell is not a good fit on their current system. He could play but not against the Celtics.

^^ Sooner or later there will be blaming games and pointing finger as to what cause Memphis that series against the Lakers. Obviously, two of them, Ja Morant's interview, "I'm fine in the West" comment and then Brooks disrespecting Lebron and "poking the bear" and until someone drops 40 on him. New York managed to beat Miami this time in the second round of the second round matches, but I can still say that Miami has the advantage. New York managed to win the game played tonight, 111-105, with their game in the last quarter. Jalen Brunson scored 30 points, R.J.Barrett 24 and Julius Randle 25 points for New York. Kevin Love played ineffectively in Miami. In the other game of the night, the Los Angeles Lakers took the field advantage with a flash away win. Anthony Davis and LeBron dominated the game. Setphen Curry and Klay Thompson were effective in Golden State, but they could not prevent the defeat. Los Angeles defeated Golden State 112-117.

I heard about this and I can't really believe that the Grizzlies will do something like this for Brooks. I mean, I know he's not that kind of player that contributes within a decent average per game but sometime, his antics are somehow helpful for the team because he gets into the other team's heads. It's just that he crossed some lines doing such thing towards LeBron James and I'm even under the impression where the Grizzlies will praise him if his antics will be proven successful and that LeBron will ruin his own gameplay because of Brooks but because the opposite happened, Brooks was thrown under the bus so that the franchise will not be connected to the hate.

That is good for us, I'm not complaining because I get to bet on the Miami Heat with a juicy moneyline because the bookies are favoring the Knicks compared to the Miami Heat. Which I can't really blame them because Heat got two good and important players injured, namely Herro and Oladipo, and that might be the reason behind why.

I think it was mostly Anthony Davis.  He exposed the Warriors as not being able to contain him.  They pretty much either have to not miss shots or hurt Davis in order to have a chance if the games keep being played this way.  The second half the Warriors did a little better job on him, but he also played a ton of minutes so he was probably tired.  I'm not sure how the Warriors are going to be able to handle such a large guy in Davis.  Maybe if they didn't trade away Wiseman they'd be able to run more fresh legs at him, but I think the Warriors have a problem on their hands if Davis stays healthy.

Joel Embiid is the winner of this year’s MVP award. I personally don’t think he had a better year than Jokic, but I’m glad Jokic didn’t win it again. The NBA always gives people the MVP too early and leads to them getting snubbed later. I think that’s what happened to Jokic this year and giving the MVP to the ‘next up’ guy is why Rose stole one of LeBron’s MVPs and same with Nash stealing one from O’Neal. I could go on and on. Hopefully this Embiid MVP (which is more like a lifetime achievement award in this case) allows them to break that cycle and start giving the MVP to the player that had the most dominant season instead of the next superstar.

Yeah, it's good to see Jokic not winning the MVP this year, I'm not totally against him, but there were moments where in the MVP was announced to early as you have said. Even as early as Malone stealing one from MJ and then MJ came back in revenge to win the NBA finals.

The final games of both Jokic and Embiid has been the deciding factor IMO.
In the final games, Jokic sit out, and didn't play because of injury while Embiid is out there carrying his team. I guess that's the reason why Embiid has picked the winner. I mean in most of the regular season, we don't know who will be the MVP because both of them are playing very well. It's just that Jokic got injured, sit out in the final games of the regular season, and Embiid is still playing. Anyway, I won my bet on this one big time. Congratulations to Embiid as well. Still Larry Bird is still the last player to win MVP 3x in a row back in the '80's I think.

I hope that wasn't the final draw.  There were plenty of games that embid sat out due to injury this year.  I honestly think it's more a, we should give it to someone new.  Jokic led his team to the 1 spot almost wire to wire this year.  All while sporting healthy numbers all around.  He easily could have gotten a third one but I think Philly might literally have burned down the NBA offices.  Good for embid but it could have go e either way and don't think any single game was a deciding factor.

The heat are just the media darlings because of the whole 8 seed beat a 1 seed.  Everyone is saying how knxoks barely won last night while ignoring game one heat struggled to win with Randle out.  Randle is the Knicks leading scorer AND rebounder on the team.  I'm a knicks fan so I might be biased but I think the bookies AR spot on with this one they should be a slight favorite.  2 big games in Miami just hoping for a split to bring it back to NY.  Knicls annihilated the Cavaliers in theor previous series.  Don't know why they get so much disrespect.

The Grizzlies had enough drama in the franchise dealing with Ja Morant and his offcourt issues. They didn't really need Brooks and his bs on the court. Every team has an enforcer so to speak, but this guy pushes the limits IMO.
