I know it's only preseason but I will be the first to admit I might be wrong about wemby.  Dude is a monster.  I thought he might not he strong enough to hang inside in the NBA and think I'm wrong after watching a couple of preseason games.  Now I know the regular season is very different he looks like he has the goods to hold up.  Hope the kid stays injury free to see how good he can get.  That's the worry with these big guys

It's too early to draw any conclusions about Victor. Personally, my first impression after a couple of preseason games is that Victor is a good scorer, but at the same time, I would point out that he only grabbed 4 and 5 rebounds in those two games. That's kind of small for a 7'4" guy.
Anyway, he really has a lot of potential, although it's still unclear if he's injury-prone or not.

Yeah I know, there are always pre season "stars" that end up not being able to cut it but the dude looks different.  He is going to have a tough time banging down low at times to grab boards but that will come with time.  Gonna a be fun to watch this year the kid can definitely put it in the bucket.

Wemby is currently an asset for the Spurs, but they had a rough last season, so they're eager to come back strong. Injuries are unfortunately a part of the game, and you need some luck to avoid them. Wemby is a big guy, and it seems like big men, when they get injured, tend to have a tougher time coming back quickly. Sometimes, they even need an entire season to heal, just like Davis, or Chet, who missed the entire season when he got injured during a preseason game, if I recall correctly.

Let's cross our fingers that Wemby stays injury-free because injuries can really dampen the excitement and fan expectations. Even though the NBA remains entertaining, it's a different kind of entertainment when all the teams with superstars are healthy and competing throughout the season.
Honestly expecting Spurs to be great on year one is delusional. Sure Wemby is a generational talent and there is nothing wrong about expecting to do a lot better, but they have basically nobody else at this point. Look at their roster, it is as open as it gets and I would change everyone aside from Wemby if given the chance. They are not that type of team neither, not like they are known to get greater with trades and free agents, not an amazing destination to live neither, and small market as well.

So, I am assuming that, they are going to be a little different. Look at Dallas, they got Doncic, near MVP level player for years, and they still haven't been good just yet, they might, but not yet. Wemby is like that too, they may need some time, hell Jokic and Giannis took so long to get their title as well. So do not expect them to suddenly be great, that's not going to happen, we are going to see them get better, but not right away and not a lot.

Anyway, he really has a lot of potential, although it's still unclear if he's injury-prone or not.
Rudy Gobert averaged 3.5 rebounds in his first season with the Jazz so we cannot judge them yet too in that area. After that season it climbed up to 9 rebounds per game and he continuously preserved that kind of average and more. Wemby just came in, he ain't even in his prime so all the analysis now is pure speculation because this is a different jungle that he will be joining. Some will try to hurt him while others will be more competitive against him. It will not be easy for a 19-year-old but at least he is showing some skills and versatility in his preseason games. It ain't serious though, the battle is just starting.
I don't know though if Coach Popovich will take away his three-point shooting attempts. He tried 10 in the preseason and made 3 which I think is not that bad but there's a chance Pops will keep him underneath or not that far from the rim to score. Let the guards handle those areas and try to aim more offensive rebounds for a second chance opportunity. He is too tall to just wait outside asking for a three-point shot.

1 player won't change the direction of the franchise in the first year, especially a guy that still needs some time to get adjusted to the NBA. Sure Wemby played in Europe against men for years already, still he is very skinny and might have some trouble against strong NBA bodies.

Also as of right now he doesn't have any support cast in San Antonio. They are a rebuilding team which seems to have a bright future, but for the moment you can't expect them to get more like 30 wins this season. Maybe they can surprise us but realistically they are not fight for any playoff or even playin spot.

Can't really wait to see him on the court dunking on guys easily with his unique long arms and make a surprising three where others didn't pay attention that he can actually do it easily as well. At this moment, we understand the game was not really intense because they are saving for the real numbers to count when they win or lose and also Wemby is doing all of that because they already know based on the rookie histories, that there are lots of players that are being pressured to play well in the preseason and they did it but ended up being injured for a long time.

That's an interesting take. I may bet against that if Wemby doesn't get any injury in the preseason and if odds move according to your expectation. Current line is @1.90 for both under/over 29.50 regular season wins. It doesn't look that tempting to me at the moment.

There are also lines for his PPG and RPG if you're interested
- PPG under/over 17.0 are both @1.90
- RPG under 8.60 @1.86 while over 8.60 @1.96

but for the moment you can't expect them to get more like 30 wins this season. Maybe they can surprise us but realistically they are not fight for any playoff or even playin spot.

Seems to be interesting line for Wemby and the Spurs. Very tempting but we really need to be careful though as it is too early to conclude. But in any case that I will bet on it, I might go with the PPG here, I will take the over, I think Wemby can average above 20 ppg or even higher as it looks like he will be the go player for the Spurs and coach Pop.

And so more design plays for him, and he can really shot from the outside and his percentage could be in the line of 60% true shooting. With the current hype on him, and with the way he handle the pressure, I think he can really be a good player and can developed to be the future star of the league.

Lillard finally made his debut with the Bucks. They defeated the Lakers on the road by 11 points (108-97) for the Bucks. He played only 22 minutes and 23 seconds, but his production wasn't that impressive, with a 3-10 shooting performance for the whole game, which is not what we were expecting. I guess he is still adjusting to his new team, or maybe he hasn't taken it too seriously since it's just the preseason.

But there is some positive news from the team; the points are well-distributed, which means the ball movement is on point.

Good numbers for these players, but the Lakers aren't playing with a complete lineup; they miss their leader, LeBron, so it's somewhat expected that the Bucks will win. Lillard has a lot of blending to do with the team, but the good thing is that he was traded before the season started, which gives them more time to build that necessary chemistry. So, let's stay optimistic.  Smiley

Yeah, it's really bad with a basketball player didn't reach his full potential because of nagging injuries, like Zion in the last 2-3 years wherein he will start the season very healthy and suddenly goes out. Or even Lonzo Ball, we really don't know if he can comeback as himself, although there are players like Klay and KD who make a great comeback after torn meniscus.

So let's just hope that Wemby, with his trainer and strength coach can do wonders with him and prevent him from experiencing a injuries. So it's important as well that his support system is there for him as they have a huge investment on this kid and hope that one day it could reward them by winning championship again for the franchise.

Yes, who will also forget recently, the number 2 draft pick from last season, Chet Holmgren who had a freak accident in last year's pre-season game? We thought that it was just a common injury but it turns out that he had missed the entire season playing at the pre-season.

And so hopefully Wemby will not be the victim of pre-season injury and hold his number 1 draft pick throughout the season and then win the rookie of the year award. Initially we've seen that he had a big impact already to the Spurs. But the real test will be if ever they will make it to the playoffs with him as a rookie leading the Spurs.

Injuries can cause problems for any player in any sport. If a player can stay out of injury, he can actually achieve a lot of things and even a lot of impossible things that he might not have if he got injured. I also really hope that he will be able to stay away from injuries. There have been a lot of players who could have performed far better compared to what they ended up doing just because of injuries. I know I might be a little biased because he is showing good performance right now, but I still think that he will be able to perform really well and achieve great things he can stay away from injuries and continue performing like this.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to say, if Wemby can stay out of injuries,  he will have the potential to be a great player, maybe win an MVP in the future if he can continue to improved his game like what Giannis did already. He can bulk up if he wants, or still lean and slim. But at some point he needs some muscles in his lower body as the pounding might be too much in his body in the NBA.

And if he keeps himself healthy, then it will be good for us and the Spurs. Another thing is chemistry with his team mates. Hopefully his team mates know that he is the franchise player now, just like when Jordan was a rookie. They embrace him and give him everything until they found out the secret formula in winning multiple NBA rings.

Yeah, this is the pre-season so players can just chill. Lebron and Middleton didn't play. The Bucks also let Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Ruben Lopez play. The stars didn't play long as Giannis and AD exited early. It's only Lillard who played over 20 minutes. Probably to test how he feels and acclimatize with his teammates. Lillard had a bad 3-point shooting last night hence the 3/10

I have a feeling that the Bucks are experimenting by starting Malik Beasley rather than Pat Connaughton. Nonetheless, I believe the Bucks will do well this season. They have Lillard and their bench remained strong. Cameron Payne is another good addition to the line-up.

Wemby has surprised me a bit with his play thus far. He has looked prettt good and hasn’t gotten bullied as much as I thought he would. The regular season will tell the tale though. It’s quite possible the Spurs remain a terrible team with a bad record, but I wouldn’t be confident enough in that opinion to bet on it.

The Warriors looked really nice in their first pre season game against the Lakers.
And with nice I mean scary.
CP3 fit in perfectly with the splash brothers and had some nice pick'n rolls with the Warriors front court.

Also they young guys showed some really good players and especially Kuminga looked strong. I guess he worked a lot on his game this summer, he even shot several 3s.

If they build on this they can be a very good team in the west. Many youtubers already jump on the band wagon and calling them the scariest team in the west, but has yet to be seen.

I am so excited for this team for sure and in this Preseason they surely are always using Jonathan Kuminga in most of their games are looking strong I agree with that and I think the Warriors are really bumping him up for the regular season for sure the Golden State Warriors is enhancing their new players and for sure they are keeping the pace in dealing with injuries aswell for me CP3 did a great job in the Preseason but he needs to be chill so he can not get injured all the time,

Indeed this event would not happen if the organization know that its high risk place to play with their brought stars but all show some love in the game of basketball that's why they end up this successful event that they will never forget. For sure the prisoners participate on this event really enjoy this big moment of their life and got encourage that there's a life better than what currently they are on since they are been noticed by big names of this industry.

Golden State Warriors show all love at this event so for sure they will get a lot of recognition with this since I think no other team done this simple act of kindness to the person who think they are left behind on the society. Hope that game could inspire prisoner to change their life and be a better baller.

I think many have supported this event even the corporation of the NBA and the Golden State Warriors for sure made a hand and hand help to make this happen, I think this is a great event to make every year or every end of the season, and for sure for the future star players that wants to get in the NBA for sure they want some advice and motivation to reach their dream in becoming a pro someday,

All they need to do is stay healthy. I would say they are already packed with superstars, so there's no reason they'll fail in the playoffs or have an early exit. This team, with Lillard now, is already a championship contender, probably the best in the East. They could even beat the Celtics, who I still consider one of the best.

Lillard may have a similar role with the Bucks, playing the point guard position, but it's very different here. His teammates are dominant in the paint and excel in defense compared to the Blazers, whose weakness was defense. That's one of the reasons why they sometimes exited the playoffs early, even during the time of CJ and Dame, who were one of the best backcourt duos. But now, it's not just one superstar playing with Dame; there's more than one, and I would consider Middleton a superstar too, given the massive contract he earned with the team.

He is really great and show some potential on pre season but we don't know yet if he can still dominate on regular season since the game maybe became more harder as he will face a heavy defensive pressure coming from more wider player than him. Its risky to bet since they are young and maybe got dominated by veterans since experience will still really matter here. If Spurs could develop him as a monster maybe in next season we can see him became more scarier player since for sure with that time span he can adjust on the league then maybe know how to handle some certain situations especially the physicality of NBA. Maybe for now will just watch the games of Wemby but will not bet on them because I still don't have confident that they dominate or became a championship contender with his addition on Spurs.

Yup, Dame got more backup or better to say companion on his chase for winning a title, if competitiveness will develop among them and
a good brotherhood blends up. This squad is surely going back to the playoff, then maybe winning a title.

More on how they will adjust and sacrifice their individuality to fit on each other, I would say if Giannis and Dame will play with the same
companionship of Steph and KD way back with the Warriors, then we will see them dominate first in the east, then for the world title.

Too early though, but doable if good blend and chemistry will develop trust from each other's back.

It could happen, but in comparison to Steph and KD, I believe Lillard and Giannis are one step below, but that's just my personal opinion. These two are probably still in their prime, with Giannis having already proven himself when he won his first championship, while Lillard still has a lot to prove, despite being seen as one of the popular superstars in the NBA now.

Lopez    11
Antetokounmpo 16
Payne 12
Connaughton   12
Portis 10
I know almost everyone realizes this but it is only a pre-season performance. As you have pointed out, the ball movement is more important sign for them. Obviously Giannis and Lillard will shoot the most positions but if they can get good performance from the rest of the team, then they might have a real chance. But we cannot expect Lillard to join the team and bam! 25-30 points, especially on a pre-season game. I am actually quite excited about the league this year, after the recent developments, like Wemby and this new Bucks team.

The KD and Steph duo prove that they can win a championship so its no question that for that comparison they are better since they satisfy the fans thru the performance they provide each games they play. To early to tell that Giannis and Lillard would blend together since we don't see them play on regular season yet or maybe even on playoffs so this is what we need to see if they can really share the ball and will not create any trouble on who will be the main guy on Bucks.

If Bucks could win a championship this season then provably all doubts will be erased out and they fans can say that trading their defensive guys really worth because they get another championship on Lillard's addition to their team.
