They are further away than having jimmy on the squad for a championship.  Its not like they have years left.  Cp3 is 40, jimmy is 35.  Taking on jimmy and giving up a ton of assets for him doesnt make sense for the spurs.  They aremt a one piece away from the chip type of team yet.  I dont see him going there or the spurs giving up ypung assets or picks for an aging star.  Thats how you set your team back.

Also, if you look at the situation in Los Angeles right now, based on the news things are really tough there because of the fires. Since Kawhi won't be playing, I think the Nuggets will win. The Clippers had a good chance, but unexpected things like this happen. If the venue were in LA, this game might have been canceled.

It's a sad thing to see really, but good news is it now being injury related and he should be back in let's say a couple of games, there is also some reports about the possibility of the game between Lakers and Hornets scheduled for tomorrow being postponed to a later date due to the same wildfire.

Even if he Kawhi wasn't stepping away from the team, I think his minutes would still be heavily managed at this point of his return and likely sitting out the 2nd game of back to back fixtures.

Also Phoenix could be a good destination with him, not sure if he wanted to play with Wemby or even CP3. Both are alpha so it's going to be hard to see Jimmy arguing with CP3 while they are in the floor. Some might say again that this is one of his alibis so that he will not play with the Clippers again, but if that's the case then who cares. I mean your family is in trouble, and I don't think that Kawhi will have the focus to play knowing that outside of the arena, his family is suffering because of these wildfires happening on California. Feel sad for them though, and I hope this will be over soon. As for Kawhi, I would do the same if I'm in his shoes, and he's paid already so...

The question is, are the Spurs interested in getting him?

I've also saw some articles saying that the Heat will try to keep Butler on the team this regular season and compete for the playoffs so that their draft picks will remain as protected. Don't know which is which, but it looks like the Butler trade isn't gaining any traction at all. I already knew it at first because he's on his final year of his contract and it would be too risky for the receiving team to get a player that might just go away and find another team on the off-season.

As for the Spurs though, I don't know if he will be a fit for a young team like the Spurs, but let's see how this goes.

Right, it did live up to the hype, this game was really close, but it's really a battle between the number 1 offensive team in the league in Cavs vs  the number 1 defensive team which is the OKC. So it's obvious that sometimes, it's the offense the wins the game. 30 lead changaes, 8 ties, what a game this is, it's like playoff atmosphere between the two teams.

Although Mitchell has a shooting slump, the two big men of the Cavs, Allen and Mobley took the offense for them. They will be facing next on OKC homecourt in January 16. For sure OKC wil take this lost personality and thinking of making a revenge game next.

That’s the big difference between the two teams. If SGA isn’t shooting well, OKC is pretty much done for. But the Cavs? They’ve got plenty of weapons, their bigs can score too, making them a tough team to beat. That said, it’s OKC's home court, so they’ve got the edge. Let’s see if they can level the game.

Anyway, if they end up meeting in the NBA Finals, at least we’ve already got a preview of what to expect!

Phoenix might be good, though he needs to step down as both KD and Booker are mostly the one that dictating the game and handling the ball, if he can work again as role player then he can fit to it, while with Spurs, also not sure if the system of coach Pop will work with him as he mostly wanted to take charge and have the ball in his hands.

Cavs take the win, but not as easy as it is since they are against the top seeded OKC and that's a very close game both teams play well it's just the last quarter run that Cavs manage to hold OKC and outscored them to win the game.

Nobody expect this young team to dominate like this since they are always out on the discussion especially for teams that higher probabilities to win a championship this season.

And its like they prove those people who doubt on them wrong and that 32 wins - 4 record somehow shows that they are capable to beat those top teams then have a chance to compete this season. Curious to know on how many wins does Cavalier could get this season. Also if they could beat the 73 wins - 9 loss records of Warriors which set the record as more wins recorded by a team way back 2015 - 2016.

I do agree, there are still a lot of options for the Cavs if their number one offensive player can't produce points. Allen and Mobley take the lead and then we have Dean Wade and Max Struss as well. So it's scary how this team has turn out to be this season and so I would put them in top. Hopefully though they won't choke on the playoffs, as usually Mitchell has this history of choking like when he was still with Utah.

Not sure if they can meet in the finals, the Celtics will have something to say to it, as they are the defending champs. But in the West, it seems that OKC is going to dominate that conference.

I guess those fans are still holding on a Kawhi bringing them a ring just like what he did to the Raptors. But it's a very different Kawhi now, he is prone to injuries, Paul George has left the sinking boat already as the fans thought that him and Kawhi is a perfect marriage and again, at least bring them to playoffs every year but it's not going to happen now as Kawhi is brittle.

I think by now, Ballmer should think that he needs to trade Kahwi already, and he can only hope that some teams are still interested and then they should start to rebuild again. And it's pretty obvious that getting him from Toronto is one of the worst decision by the Clippers management.

He need to manage his weight well since people believe that this is the main reason on why he's getting those injuries. Proper discipline is important and maybe he should follow what Lebron did. If Zion could just play more games provably that he can help his team to get some win. To bad for them for losing since its like they might struggle to reach far this season so I agree on what you are saying that its like they gonna fail to compete on playoffs this season.

I also don't think they could able to reach at 10 spot now since they need to win more games to get that but for now it seems impossible to happen especially on their current condition.

On the one hand, if Zion loses weight, he won't be able to dominate on the court like he does now. On the other hand, if Zion wants to stay in the NBA for a long time, he definitely needs to lose weight because a busy NBA schedule puts a lot of stress on the body, especially on the knees. In Zion's case, the heavyweight only exacerbates this, and as far as I understand it, he is not doing anything about it.

That's one heck of a game. Defeating the team with the longest streak in the whole NBA and now might become one that will top them. 11. It's not far from 15. Looking at the schedule of the Cavaliers they might go until 14 but they will meet with the Thunder again on the 15th win. (considering they win their next 3 games)
Oh! and they are now 32-4. Are they planning to break the best record?  
Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley are playing at their high level of a game. Even before I told myself this twin tower will soon be scary and it's happening now. Offensively and defensively they are a strong pair and Allen had been shooting some perimeters too which he didn't do before. I can say this is the prime of his career.

He don't deserve the hype and salary he get from Pelicans if he's prone to injury and seat the whole season when he's not healthy. Their team is badly affected with his situation and if they won't do anything provably that they won't go anywhere with Zion also with their current roster they have.

Even if we all agree with that. That's part of the contract and the Pelicans can't do anything about that. Zion is easily making money from them and remains to be an injury prone guy while his body mass isn't even getting thinner.

But based on what I've read, with the remaining 3 years, it's no longer guaranteed for him and they'll give him flexibility.

I agree with this, and I agreed with it even when he was drafted and everyone disagreed with me because they saw Zion playing against players who were a foot shorter than him and can't jump, so Zion looked like this athletic beast but nobody realized that he wasn't facing any type of opponent there, and he didn't had any college career to talk about neither, so it is not really a big deal to do well at high school like him, many players do that and then become bad.

But when you look at his body type and what he does, it was obvious that his body couldn't handle all of that damage. When that dude jumps and comes back down, he is hurting his legs and knees and even ankles and this is why he looked injury prone and he was a one trick ponty too, he just was athletic and that's it, he had nothing else at all. So I knew that he would be bad, and I am just waiting on everyone to finally turn on him, eventually all of them will and we will see people agreeing with me eventually.

The Cavs ended OKC's winning streak and proved once again how dominant they are at home. Even though Mitchell wasn’t at his best, the Cavs owned the clutch minutes in the 4th quarter with their decisive run.

It really felt like we were watching a Finals matchup, it was that exciting!
If they ever meet in the Finals in the future, I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes to a full 7-game series.

We don’t usually see Mitchell struggle like this, but even with that, the team still managed to beat OKC.

It’s safe to say they’re a different team now compared to last season. With a new coach and system in place, everything seems to be clicking, and they’re already enjoying a solid record. OKC might be the toughest team they’ve faced so far, so there’s a good chance this winning streak could continue for a while.

Seems like Bronny is back, didn't realize that he was back, that's a good thing for him gaining experience but seems like he isn't getting that much attention at all. In the end we should be considering how they shot, it's normal that they end up losing some of the games and as long as they normally play they are going to end up playing decently and win the games. We should not be expecting them to shoot this badly every game and that has to be benefit for them out of this game because they know that they are not going to end up shooting this badly every game.

Lakers are looking decent to be fair, but Dallas looks good too, they may even face each other later on. I believe while Dallas is good, Lakers is not looking this bad, it was just an exceptional game and that will be much better. That will take a while for them to bring their morale back up after a game like this of course, but I am sure Lebron James will do his leadership to recover them.
