The Suns are making trades to start stacking draft picks.  Sure seems like they're close to a deal for Jimmy Butler and are scooping up trading assets they need to make the deal go through.  Again, I'm not a big fan of Jimmy Butler or Bradley Beal and I hate Grayson Allen, but if they can help my hometown team win some games and get into the playoffs then I am a happy guy.  I feel like some big trades are coming soon though.  There's too much talk and movement from the Suns, Lakers, Heat & Bulls for something big to not go down.

And it seems that it could really be the destination of Jimmy Butler? He has seen wearing his signature shoes but this time it has the color of the Phoenix Suns. Maybe this is the hit that he might go to the Suns after all the drama. But let's see, I read reports that the Heat wanted to include rookie Ryan Dunn in the discussion, but the Suns doesn't want to as this kid has potential.

Could be that the Suns will also like the Warriors in terms of their superstar as aging, KD is 37, Butler will be 36, and then Booker turning 29. So most likely, that's why they don't want to involved their rookie so that they still have fresh blood in the team as Dunn has impressed the management this season.

Being totally honest, I’m not sure why anyone is assuming Jimmy Butler will go to Phoenix. He doesn’t have a no trade clause in his contract so he could be traded anywhere Pay Riley wants to send him. Maybe he’s telling teams he will only resign with Phoenix and tanking his value anywhere else? Riley seems like the kind of guy that would take an L on a trade just to make a point. I love NBA drama.

I’m curious now as to where will Butler end up.

If he gets traded to a weaker team like the Jazz or Wizards it might feel like a waste of his talent, especially since those teams don’t seem focused on competing for a title. So far, though, the Heat aren’t doing too bad this season, so even if Butler gets traded, they’ll likely stay competitive. Who knows? They might even get better if they land solid players in return.

I still remember that old rumor about LeBron wanting to fire Coach Spoelstra back then. Instead, LeBron ended up going back to Cleveland. It seems like Pat Riley has always been firm about keeping the Heat’s system intact, no matter what.

There is no way that the jazz or the wizards will give up young guys or picks.  Their picks are going to be high and what would they do with a 35 year old jimmy butler?  I know miami might want to do that but no way those teams play ball.  Its only going to be a contending team that shells out any value for jimmy.

He said previously that he wants to be on a championship-caliber team. Before that, he also said that he wants to be in a team where there's a huge cap space so he can sign max contracts there hence, he said that he preferred to be on the Nets because they can give him max contract since they have huge cap space.

TBH, it's hard to predict where he will be going IMO. Phoenix might get him, but the Suns need to have a 3rd team in order to make this deal a success. Another one is that they only have 2 weeks to do this trade. It seems like both Beal and Butler don't like with their respective teams anymore and same with the management as well. I don't see him going to a weak team like the Jazz or Wizards this season. If he will end up not getting traded this season, he will be a free agent and he will prefer to be on a title contender team to at least have a title now that he's nearing on his post-prime years.

The champion team for the 2025 season must undoubtedly be Cleveland since it is an extremely compact group with a lot of depth on the bench.
For me it’s still too early to say who will become the champion this season, but yes the Cavs have a big chance of winning, especially since their bench has been playing well. But in their recent game, they lost to the Rockets because of Garland’s missed free throws in clutch moments. It seems unlikely for them to match the Golden State Warriors’ NBA record of 73-9. Cavs standing at the moment 36-7.

I still see the Celtics as the likely champions this season and in the Western Conference, probably the Rockets or Nuggets. When it comes to the playoffs OKC tends to weaken just like last season. lol

As it has been said many times before, great results during the regular season don't provide a 100 percent guarantee that a team can make it far in the playoffs. And although the Cavs and the Thunder are performing well, I personally wouldn't bet on either of these two teams to take the title this season.

Like you, I also see the Celtics doing back-to-back title just because of how good their roster is right now, but it's good to see teams like Cleveland matching up with them and now performing better than last season. The change of head coach has a big impact towards the success of Cleveland right now, and as much as I want to see the Knicks being in the Finals, I believe it will be Cleveland Vs. Boston.

As for the West though, I don't see the Rockets going to West Finals just because they're young, and TBH, I'm looking more at OKC being on the West Finals or even the NBA Finals just because of how stacked they are right now, and their experience last playoffs for me is enough already to propel them into the NBA Finals. They're at the top when it comes to offense and defense so I will not be surprised if in the next 3 years, they will be title contenders. I just hope that injuries will not hinder. As for the Nuggets, their bench is one of the worst, so I don't see them either

I don't see Cleveland as big contenders for championship to be candid, that could be a biased opinion though because my prediction is more about how I anticipate them to do in the post season, I see OKC as a better candidate due to how the West is currently looking. Ultimately it still might Boston Celtics' to lose because of how deep they are, and those their numbers are down now and they've been struggling of late, but I think we all know what they still are capable of.

It's going to be different with OKC this season though. Last year, they still have to get a feel, the experience of being in the playoff. And so they face the Dallas team, and we have seen the Dallas has the experience before while the young and talented OKC just can't get over that series. Same with the Cavs this season, they might have a good record, but as far as experience, they still are very raw, like the Rockets. Nuggets might be a good underdog to reach the finals and so is the Dallas again.

For the East, the defending champions, or maybe the Knicks might be a good bet as well. Still very early though, we are still in the first half of the season. The most interesting part is after the All-Star as teams might have traded some and acquired to beef up leading to the playoff.

When it comes to the playoffs OKC tends to weaken just like last season. lol

I agree, although they are very good at the regular season, it's not a recipe to be a champion. We've seen the Suns having like a 60+ wins and lost the finals. And before we forget, not hating on him, they have Mitchell who has a history of choking in the playoffs. And we have seen their second option in Darius Garland, missing two out of three free throws that could have won them the game against the Rockets.

So in the West I would consider the OKC as a better team right now, they are almost complete. But eventually, the Celtics if complete healthy and obviously they are the defending champion has a good chance to repeat with the best duo in Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

There is no way that the jazz or the wizards will give up young guys or picks.  Their picks are going to be high and what would they do with a 35 year old jimmy butler?  I know miami might want to do that but no way those teams play ball.  Its only going to be a contending team that shells out any value for jimmy.

Or maybe he’ll end up with the Wizards. Honestly, I’m not sure where Butler’s going, but I kinda want to see the Heat teach him a lesson for being so arrogant, thinking he’s the real superstar, like the Heat wouldn’t be where they are now without him. But let’s go back a bit, Butler’s been with other strong teams before, even played with Embiid, and they still couldn’t make it work.

It's because that's where he wanted to go, simply as that. And so every fans specially fans of Phoenix Suns will think that Jimmy will be a big help for them and not Bradley Beal. But then again the age of him and Durant might be a big factor. Of course, he could be traded even to the worst team like the Wizards as punishment, but I do not think that the Wizards are willing to give up a lot of their young core or even future picks.

So maybe it is only the Phoenix Suns that are really interested on acquiring him right now. But I think it will take another 3rd team to make the deal be a win-win for all party, or at least Pat Riley will be satisfied on the players that they will get in exchange of Butler.

Nikola Jokić had another great performance. With 35 points, 22 rebounds and 17 assists, he recorded his 5th triple-double in a row and won the game for his team. He also became the second player with 35+ points, 20+ rebounds, and 15+ assists, joining Wilt Chamberlain. His one-handed full court basket at the end of the 3rd quarter was incredible. He is definitely the best player in the NBA right now.

Jokic is completely out of this world, and he just keeps getting better by the day, I’ve seen some articles and post about the NBA that folks would just find a way to have SGA as the MVP to reduce Jokic’s dominance, while SGA has a strong case too, I think Jokic should be unanimous decision, and it’s not even a close one if you ask me.

I was about to comment that he didn’t made 5 triple-double in a row performance because they lose on Rockets but I remember he doesn’t play that time while the match before that was he manage to achieve triple double.

He is a monster even if he is facing strong center like Sabonis he can still perform much better unlike other star player center that choke whenever they are against good center. Sabonis is one of the greatest center on the league which even Gobert is not enough yet Jokic always beat him badly.

Superb! That's a monster game. Truly the best player in the league today.
Let's not also forget the 18 points of Russell Westbrook. 7/10 field goals, 2/4 in distance shots. He is now a threat to any team they are up against both defensively and offensively. I think he really is in a better team now and I do wish he would stay even if the Nuggets will not get the championship. Because that Nuggets team became more lively and hungry for the throne again. They badly want to win each game and they might really get it and probably the first championship of Westbrook. Who knows?

Yeah right. wB is the missing piece which Nuggets needed since they do a roster shuffle after their championship. They kick out lots of player that put effort on game while keep player like MPJ that on and off. They did a good job trading KCP to acquire more good players and finally use Braun potential instead of benching him.

I believe they have high chance of Championship this year if Westbrook will become consistent on influencing his teammates to crave for winning and championship.

Murray is kinda silent now but I hope he became explosive again on the playoffs.

The Lakers were blowing out the Boston Celtics yesterday so Bronny James managed to get himself 3 minutes of game time. Unfortunately, when the Lakers ran a play for Bronny to get a shot, he missed it pretty badly off the backboard. Hopefully his nerves calm a little bit and we get to see him score some points soon.

How about the Mavs snapping OKC's winning streak at their homecourt? OKC has been stomping every team this faces this season in their homecourt. But not the Dallas team, even still without Luka, they have 3 players scoring 20+ points, led by Spencer Dinwiddie.

For sure it was a shocking for the fans of OKC to see their team lose this time.

Jalen Williams have 33 points while SGA got 31 points. but it was not enough for them to win the game, 115-121, so for sure many of us here have lost their bets on OKC.

LeBron and Bronny James were invited to compete in the NBA All Star skills challenge but they declined. Bronny was also asked to participate in the G League game but declined. I’m not sure what their reasoning is for this, but from the outside it seems like a move to avoid any potential embarrassment. I’d like to see Bronny prove he belongs, not duck opportunities.
