I’m already looking forward to Friday’s matchup between the Lakers and the Mavericks. It will be interesting to see if they let Anthony Davis play or not. I hope he does get to play. I’m also not familiar with how long DeAndre Ayton will be out, but it would be great to see them both on the floor. Game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.

Based on the post from ESPN, this is the situation with regards to AD, and his health:

Davis (calf) will be listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Lakers, according to NBA reporter Marc Stein.

Questionable for me means he will not play, but he will be there just in case he will not play. Of course, I expect for a tribute video for him because he became a vital piece towards the success of the team in the past few years and got a title there as well. Yes, he got injured in his first years in LA, but we can't deny the fact that he helped the Lakers in becoming a playoff contender team like the one we are seeing right now.

I can't find the latest update with regards to Ayton's injury as of the moment, but if he will not play, they still have Hayes and Kleber to cover it still.

I didn't know Davis is off the injury list already. For me, it wouldn't make sense to let him play, if you consider winning the game. The only reason why I would play him at all is to raise is stock for a possible trade. They want other teams to see that AD still has plenty of value, despite all the injuries, so they will consider trading for him. I mean I don't know any scenario where a would send something actually valuable for him but still it's worth trying of course.

I think he will be a gametime decision on Friday, but they said he will come back either then or the next game... 

There's also been a lot of talk about an Anthony Davis trade.  The Mavericks seem open to blowing up their roster and trading anyone but Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg. 

Every day it looks more and more like we're going to see a Ja Morant trade.  Perhaps there will be some fireworks in the NBA over this holiday season...

I read multiple sources about this news and it seems that Davis would comeback and play against Lakers. This is so huge knowing that this team now became a rival after the trade happen.

But I don't expect much high playing time since he provably have minute restriction. Also I read those rumors about Mavs is open to trade Davis and try to rebuild their team. So let's see how this rumors will end up to them.

Grizzliez management and Morant is not happy with each other so there's really huge possibilities that maybe next  year we can see Morant will be traded on other team.

The game could’ve gone to overtime if Cade made all three free throws, but that’s how it is, every winning streak has to end, and they’ll just have to start another one. But they really fought well, especially in TD Garden where the Celtics are tough to beat.

Also, OKC’s win streak almost broke tonight, but once again the Timberwolves fell short in the 4th quarter, and they lost again.

It's expected that he'll be back on the court in the next few days, but his participation in the game against the Lakers is still questionable. I think the Mavs don't need to rush him back to show how valuable he is because everyone already knows that Davis is a great player, but only when he's fully healthy.
Regarding a possible trade, I think many teams would like to have him, but not with the contract he currently has.

The Celtics win was really impressive and kind of surprising. i am not even a Pistons fan, but really i still feel bad for them, I don’t know why.

The 2025 NBA Cup! Everytime the team will play the game under NBA CUP, They will use that colorful court.

I was surprised to see the final score, I haven't seen the game, but this is a good lessons to learn for the Pistons. They could have won if Cade hit all the free throws but I guess it will make them more stronger experiencing this painful lost.

It could have gone to OT too, but Chet come back with a dagger 3's that put all hope of the Wolves to make a comeback. So sorry for Edwards as he has do it in in both end of the court, playing hard defense on SGA and then trying to carry the team on his shoulder and make a good comeback.

It’s truly an eye sore to watch NBA cup especially with dark color palette floor designs. Looks like player running like a shadow especially if the team is consist of dark skin players.

This cup should be done on different schedule not on the regular season to avoid confusion and using this awful color scheme gym.

They should just launch this NBA cup before the regular season starts or remove the All star game and replace by this.

We don't know though. If Cade hits the last one, then it could be a tie score. But there are a lot of time in the clock that the Celtics might execute a good play.

Or maybe the Pistons will foul immediately sending someone on the Celtics to hit the free throws and then again, hit one or both. But in the end, in their last play to at least had a chance to force an overtime, they made a big mistake and let the Celtics steal the ball from them.

Tough loss by the Detroit, i thought they have this in the bag, but the boston celtics pour it outside, shots are falling for them, also the last free throw and the steal seal the deal for the Boston Celtics brown also take the load scoring points, this is what the Detroit don't want to happen every time they need to sink important free throws, because when it comes to the size they can really win, because they have the advantage in size, well i think every win streak has to end but for sure they can bounce back.

Agree, I also have that same impression since Piston is in the winning streaks but Boston played well and they fought till the last minutes, you said it right when making those FT, that's really counts especially if you are in that kind of height advantage, you can take that inside shots and let your defensive stoppers to foul you.

Winning streaks ends today they need to bounce back and let this one be a learning path there's  a lot of games to come they just need to play compose and start winning again.

LeBron putting up 25/6/6 as the third option is just crazy 
The funniest part is how fast the narrative flipped people were saying he would ruin the chemistry in Lakers and hold Luka and Reaves back.

I am not going to lie, I was one of those people. Because Lakers were doing alight without him and I feared that when he came back he would ruin the team chemistry and would want the ball more and that would cause everything to shift and team would play differently. Looking at it, dude has accepted basically being the third option, or more like second option, to be sure that changes game to game, but being second or third and guaranteed not being first for sure is a big step down by Lebron.

Shows maturity for sure, but how could we know that Lebron be ok with that, this dude was not only first option at his teams for 20 years ,but be the best player for 10+ years of that in the whole of NBA, so obviously we didn't expect him to be ok with it, turns out he was.

As for the Ayton injury, they are no time table. But it seems that Hayes has been given the time to cover as the center of the Lakers.

So they got G League star Drew Timme. As Drew average 25 ppg, and 8 rebounds. So he could be the missing link as far as the center position goes for the Lakers. How about Klay Thompson though, in recent games it seems that Klay is not in his usual self, even had a trade of words against Ja Morant.

He might be frustrated on joining the Mavs as he thought he could play with Luka.

He has far exceeded expectations. He's playing very maturely. Frankly, he's scoring much better than I expected. There was a lot of debate about him, and he wasn't great at first, but that's perfectly normal. He was never expected to be a superstar. Last night, however, he was superb. With Durant and Adams out and Alpi not having a great night on offence, his 31 points were incredible. Houston isn't playing exceptionally well(not like OKC level I mean), but they could achieve something significant this season. I'm very curious to see what they'll do in the playoffs.

yeah and last year he looked so weak and lost, but now he’s like a baby curry. i always expected something from him tbh. of course i cant say anything for sure before seeing his playoff performance, but he’s finally starting to show why he was the 3rd pick in the draft.

For me, it was Derrick White who was the real hero for the Boston Celtics. His 3-point shots fell in the crucial minutes and he didn’t miss his free throws. This guy is really underrated, but I don’t see Boston being successful without him in the lineup. They’re still resilient even without Tatum, and thanks to White for stepping up in big games like this.

Sheppard and holiday are contributing big, the last time holiday with Kevin still in the lineup now Sheppard scoring is amazing, seems like they don't miss the service of Fred, its good thing there are players who is stepping up for them, sengun moves are close to Jokic, he could be a lower version of Jokic when it comes to post move, maybe another year and he can do matchup better with Jokic, but Jokic has lots of moves so he needs to train harder, amen is also doing well starting to embrace a star level.
