I mean of course probably not the majority of people are expecting Haliburton to carry Pacers to top very quickly. The problem for them is beyond him while of course his absence is affecting them negatively.

They had their golden era last season and went to the end. They competed really hard against a that powerful Thunder in the final series too.

And who knows maybe they were going to win the championship if Haliburton didn't get injured.

They already traded the original players in the team so I'm not sure if after his return it will be the same and also Hali need to adjust, people who came after injury still adjust because they are trying to gauged their body,
but since there are many changes, on the team i think they need more time to adjust and if Hali can carry the team, their last run was a Cinderella story, but still they got what it takes to challenge teams, well all of the teams are capable as long as they have players that can carry them, it just boils down to how much they want it.

As for the games tonight, Rockets extending their losing streak to 3 right now. Doesn't look good for the Rockets and KD as they've lost to a team having the 14th position. As it looks like they have a breakdown in defense in their losing streak.

I think that is not the problem, if you can have a scorer you can add a defender that can switch to him, they have made it deep in the playoffs before its just the bucks are too strong and a complete team while the hawks barely give an effort for the team to contend in the east, if you really want your team to make it in the east finals at least show some effort to acquire star players, the hawks are really just praying that they got the best pick after that any negotiation to have a legit star is out of the table.

What I’m curious if Trae can still perform the way he carries Hawks before during his prime on that team. He recently play less efficient than before but that’s because is not focusing anymore their offense to him.

I’m not familiar on Wizards roster since John Wall era was over but it will be great if Trae will have a new team and can have a fresh start. I’m sure they will prioritize a trade that will help Trae utilize his like what you mentioned by acquiring more defender while offense will be on him.

Middleton is one the known name that Trae can rely though Middleton still inactive due to injury, not sure if both player will jive and blend their chemistries, and similar to what you said we can't tell if Trae can carry his new team the way he carry the Hawks and almost bring them to the finals way back but Giannis and his Bucks team beat them to advance to the finals then win the title in that same season.

Because of these constant injuries I’m really not sure how much he can help the team. That’s pretty normal for players who suffer serious injuries. Even Klay, who wasn’t really injury-prone before, came back from a season-ending injury and was never the same again. That’s basically why he ended up being sent to Dallas.

You’re right about this, the recovery chance for this kind of injury is not a guaranteed 100% but some players manage to recover well while the majority show a decrease on performance.

Klay Thompson is the best example for having a decrease on performance since his stats started to go downhill after the injury. He manage to slowly come back but he never play the same compared before.

So it always depends on the severity of the injury.

Achilles tendon really is a career destroyer for most stars. He can come back but it's true that he's not going to be 100% prime anymore. If he's no longer the same as before, he can still play the other role for the team. But we're wishing him to be back in full form again once he's fully recovered.

Hopefully he plays soon so we can finally see if the Wizards really improve with him leading the team, or if it’s just more of the same.

There are so many good to best players that were destroyed their superb performance due to this, but we saw few who get back on it.

The good thing about the Wizards is that, he is on his final year on his contract already so that will open cap space for them to sign a good player. Now if they still want him to stay, they will offer him much, much lower salary than what he's getting right now because like what you said, he's an injury-prone player. He could've been the 2nd option on offense next to Giannis back when he's still in Milwaukee, but unfortunately, injuries hindered it all, and now playing to a bottom seeded team like the Wizards.

I don't think that the Wizards are that desperate for him to play. They want him to fully recover from that sprained MCL injury, and even if he comes back, I don't think that he will have that much impact or changes with the team. I believe this year will be the year where they will build the chemistry around Young, and they're still tanking as they're always doing. I preferred the building phase of the OKC and Spurs which they started from accumulating promising young talent until they fully developed without acquiring a star caliber already in exchange for wiping young talent on their roster.

OKC, Spurs, Pistons and many more that leading the NBA are composed with young generation talent while teams with old superstar with huge salary are now on lower rank specifically Clippers and Kings.

I agree with you with this one, though they have a pretty good run in their previous matches they were all pretty close games compared to other teams were they do score much more compared to the opponent. Though it's not too late and there's a saying that the ball is round and anything can happen, we might not know what can happen in the play-offs especially it's the start where players do seriously gave all their best shot. I'm not saying they can get into finals but I'm pretty sure they're gonna do great effort and performance on it. Do you think they can get into the playoffs?

They did have a bad start to the season, yes, but looking at their performance in the last 10 games, the Clippers are currently the best team. So, just because they've played badly so far, or because they were bad at the beginning of the season, doesn't mean they'll be bad at the end.

Houston lost to Kings again. This team is going down, maybe they will fall below the 7th seed now. Losing to Kings and Blazers two times each... the team chemistry is totally broken. Also, when Adams goes to screen for KD instead of Alperen, the ball stays with him. Then KD and Alperen get boxed out easily. I think Alperen and the team's shooting is very bad lately. Because of this bad shooting, teams can trap KD in the paint more easily than before.

Houston's loss to Sacramento struck me as odd. Houston has lost three games in a row. It's surprising that Houston lost to a team like Sacramento, which has lost seven games in a row. Alperen played in this game and contributed 19 points, but he couldn't prevent the loss. Houston started the game well, but their poor shooting in the final quarter made defeat inevitable. Now Houston has a five-game home series and will face some very tough teams. I'm especially curious to see what they'll do against Oklahoma and San Antonio.

Rockets are immediately into the play-in area after a series of losses lately. Only 1 win in the last 5 games... This is worrying for their future in playoffs also.

They started to make me feel like they won't progress much further again.    I hope I get wrong. Udoka had better find a way to fix this. They have KD and I would like to see them competitive in playoffs for this reason especially.
