Career-high 49 points by Cooper Flagg with 20/29 FG. This is just insane work for a 19-year-old in NBA... 10 rebounds also though I shouldn't forget to add that. He has some characteristics from LeBron too in my opinion. In his style I mean.

Knueppel answered him with a career-high 34-point performance as well by the way. It was the rookies' night! 8 three pointers is just something else. Maybe this might also be a record for him, I'm not sure.

This means that the mavs make the right decision to pick him in the draft, but losing luka, is the price they paid, it could have been epic having those two in the lineup with kyrie, i wonder what will happen in the mavs in the next couple of years if luka still in the mavs, could they win a ring, or this really bound to happen because they let luka go, they have the no. 1 pick, can the mavs make a late push if kyrie will ever return this season?

I mean do the Mavericks have other choices? They'll not pick Dylan Harper or Ace Bailey or other players out there over him so... yeah they might made the right decision, but they just made the "ONLY" decision that they need to do.

As for losing Luka though, I don't want to say it since it's too early, but it seems like Flagg is almost doing the same thing as what Luka did in his rookie season. It isn't as efficient as Luka though, but he's going to be, and he's just 18 years old. So many years for him to develop and to be the franchise player of the team. I don't think that the Mavericks will try and target Flagg though if Luka's still on their team. Well, it happened already so... As for the Mavericks having Kyrie playing for this season, there are some articles saying that he might not play for this season anymore considering their current standing: LINK

He has yet to be cleared to practice, and while Irving has made it clear that he hopes to play this season, sources anticipate that, considering the Mavs’ place in the standings, there will be discussions about postponing his comeback until next season.

It would be better for him to sit out for this whole season as well and continue to recover, and just come back next season healthy and 100%.

Duke's pride, both super rookies shows up their talents and skills, both have their own career highs, though after that 49points career high of Cooper they unable to survive, Charlotte managed to escaped that game even how hard the competitions but only one team will win, interesting to see young talents carrying / helping the team.

Looking to see more from both stars as they both creating their names and showing their best for their respective teams.

Well, it's a disappointing loss considering that the Mavs lost by only 2 points. Nevertheless, 49 points from a rookie is definitely an epic performance, which is extremely rare. If there were doubts about Flagg at the beginning of the season, now we can say with confidence that the Mavs will build a team around him, and I think he can become a franchise player for them. Of course, that's if the Mavs' management doesn't do something stupid again in the coming seasons.

A shame he turned it over on the last play of the game which resulted in a loss. Had he nailed the game winner and ended up with 50+ it would have been an amazing performance. Hard to count it when he puts up those numbers in a loss. Still a great effort though and one of the best young player scoring performances ever.

What a domination by Timberwolves against Thunder last night! They didn't even give the lead to their opponent for a second. The biggest gap they had was even like 22 points.

Things are much more difficult for Thunder while they are dealing with some injuries. For example Jalen Williams is injured again who is a really important member of the roster. I wonder how many more games they will lose until the end of regular season...

Cooper Flagg is definitely the better out of both, but reaching 34 points on just 14 shots, compared to reaching 49 points in 29 shots, it shows who was more efficient when scoring as well. Knueppel is a special player, he is a three point specialist, and in todays game finding someone who is that good at scoring from threes is a unique situation and puts him as one of the most valuable players in the league, because he is very young and shoots amazing.

That still doesn't change the fact that Cooper is playing on a whole another level, it is not just scoring for him, dude is doing everything and an overall beast. Can he be a superstar in the future, like fmvp levels of great? I am not sure, but he has all- star forever written all over him.

This draft class seemed a bit weak at first. Apart from Flagg, there weren't many players with big expectations. But Knueppel is doing much better than expected. His stats are almost the same as Flagg's. Edgecombe and Coward are also doing quite well. I'll be watching these young players more closely during All-Star Weekend. I guess this draft class isn't that weak after all. It looks like 4-5 names will emerge from it that we'll be talking about in the future.

The Lakers had a massive win over the Wizards today. 142-111. Luka had a triple double in the first half, ending with 37 points. DeAndre Ayton got 28 points to go along with 13 rebounds. The King got himself 20 points.

Fun fact. None of the Wizards starters were alive yet when LeBron was drafted.

Knueppel is definitely gunning for that "best three pointer in the league" title from Curry, and while I am sure he will probably not win 4 titles, and get one finals mvp (should have been three if you ask me) it's still quite obvious that if he can stay healthy, and find the right teams, he can gun for 4k three pointers made.

He is the youngest player to reach every milestone so far, and I am sure he will not suddenly start going inside, he will keep being a three point shooter, and he has what it takes to make this happen. Will he have 10+ three pointer seasons? Not sure, probably not, but he will be great long term if he stays healthy.

Reading more about Luka’s triple double… It was the fourth fastest triple double in NBA history. Second fastest by a guard (only behind Russell Westbrook) and the fastest ever by a Lakers player. Kobe, LeBron, Shaq, Magic… Luka steals the fastest triple double in his 67th game.

It seems that Jokic became the kryptonite of Clippers since he ended up their hot run  this season. Looking how impressive Clippers is maybe Nuggets will get defeated if Jokic is not playing, but since he's back he made his team strong and they manage to defeat Clippers. Dropping that performance proves his really strong and so important piece on Nuggets.

Yes, he needs to play at least 65 games on regular season as per the new rules. I think he can manage to complete this minimum games since there’s still 40+ games left for their team while he completed above 20+.

I believe SGA still have higher chance to win this year since he is still performing great while their team is the top seed.

He is carrying OKC incredibly so I will not be surprised if SGA gets back to back.

Jokic presence fuel the team for the win, he is a big threat to other teams not only is he knows how to rebound and position underneath, but he knows how to score even when they are bigger, that experience and edge to other bigs and the capability to make plays, and score points inside and outside really standout, and i think it could earn him another MVP, for sure SGA and him will be head to head in the race, could we see a clash in the west finals and which side are you?

The Charlotte Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs are facing off on Amazon prime this morning if anyone is looking for a good game to watch this morning. The Hornets are on fire and the Spurs have Wemby, so I might tune into this one from time to time throughout my morning routine.

While it is true that Jokic is 50%+ of that team, probably more than that, there were a lot of people who were mad about him playing. Because the injury report that they shared was that he would be out far longer, there were guesses even about him barely returning before the playoffs, and yet he somehow magically got better during January itself, not even into February yet, so it was a bit sly that they made it sound like he would be out for couple more months and then suddenly ended up returning.

Not that they can't, if he is playing well (and looking how he played, he looked good) then he can play so there is nothing illegal about this, but there were a lot of distain from around the league about them doing this for no reason.

Cooper Flagg had one 49 point game and suddenly everyone thinks he is the best rookie we have seen in decades. Dude is averaging less than 20 points per game, why would we see something like this all that much important?

Like Wemby had that literally last season if I am not wrong, more impressive that he had rebounds and blocks at a defensive player of the year levels of results as well. Or Doncic was great, or many others. Stop trying to make it sound like Cooper is the best rookie since Lebron, he is not.
