It's fair to say the Los Angeles Clippers lost the game in the first quarter. They played a very poor first quarter and built up an 18-point lead. The other quarters were closely contested. The Clippers couldn't close the gap they opened in the first quarter. 113-128
In the other game, Houston beat Indiana on the road thanks to Alperen's impressive performance. Alperen recorded a double-double with 39 points and 16 rebounds.
Alperen delivered one of his most effective performances in recent days.

Pistons just crushed the Nets 130-77. Winning by 53 points actually broke the franchise record for the biggest win ever. The old record was from 23 years ago when they beat the Celtics by 52 points (118-66). Great performance tbh. What’s even cooler is that only one player scored more than 20 points... it’s awesome seeing the whole team chip in and get on the scoreboard like that.
They’ve already had two 50+ blowout losses this season. Only 24 field goals, that’s very low. Their score could’ve been even lower if not for their 22 free throws. Their highest scorer had just 12 points, a two 12 points, followed by 10, and the rest were in single digits. They’re really one of the worst teams right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if they suffer one or two more 50+ point losses this season. And if MPJ gets traded, they’ll perform even worse. Kuminga will get a lot of playing time here, but I don’t think he’ll like it if they keep losing, especially with blowout losses like that. But who knows, he already has a ring. Maybe he’s chasing playing time for now and wants his averages to go up so he can negotiate for a better salary. You can't say much to a team that is leading. Looking at how the East is this year, if they add one star scorer winning the East is not far away. Honestly, I don't think the Knicks or Celtics offense can handle Piston's defense. The most important thing is getting that star scorer.

I was reading rumors that James Harden wanted a trade but it seems to have taken a new urgency tonight. Shams is reporting that the Cleveland Cavaliers are negotiating a deal to send Harden to the Cavaliers before the trade deadline. More bad news for the Clippers.
Woah, I searched it right away. If he ever gets traded, what now for the Clippers? Their chance of getting into the play in might even slip away. He is averaging 25.4 this season. Maybe he’s frustrated and wants to explore another team again. What do you think, is he chasing his first ring, that’s why he keeps moving around? He’s already 36 years old, far from his prime, but still providing good offense. The Cavs aren’t bad, and he might be better off in the East if he really is chasing his first ring. That would be his sixth team if it ever happens.

He mentioned Atlanta as another possible landing place, which leads me to believe this decision might be more about his personal life than winning basketball games.

But it's just weird that the Clippers are willing to trade James Harden right now. Even though Kawhi is playing good, they still need a second threat and that's what Harden is. I guess they don't see Harden in that role, and it's nothing personal, it's just all business. So let's see how it goes for Harden, he is still a good player, and he could be a perfect fit for the Cavs right now.

That would be a great deal for Lonzo, or maybe a terrible one depending on how he feels about coming off the bench behind his little brother.

Alperen really played a great game after he got rid of the all star selection stress. Same thing happened last year too. Actually, if he doesn't care too much about this all star thing, everything will be easier for him. Life is like this if you chase something it runs away and if you run away, it chases you

That would be a great deal for Lonzo, or maybe a terrible one depending on how he feels about coming off the bench behind his little brother. Most likely it will be a good deal for him to play along side with his brother. There has been a lot of hype when Lonzo joins the Cavs, but it seems that he hasn't been given playing time as him and Mitchell has similar style of plays. I don't think he will really care coming off the bench, for sure he might be thinking that he still has a NBA career despite many setbacks that him and his brother had in recent years. Love to see Harden in the East again, I think he will going to exploit it just like what he did when he was in the Nets and most likely it could re-ignite the fire in him after being traded and from what he did with the Clippers when Kawhi is gone and he is the one carrying the load for the team to at least be competitive.

After his slow performance now Alperen showing what's the fans expecting from him, I like the way he plays the game, silent but deadly when he starts attacking he really have that offensive threats that too hard to handle, and knowing that the team really relying with your offensive numbers since KD is not aroung, he delivered what the team needed from him as a leader. On that other game, Cliipers did try to rally back but the big lead that Sixers establisehed during the first half really gave them that comfort to keep the win away from the clippers.

That first quarter was basically a massacre, going down that many points early puts you in a really bad spot. Even if they try to rally later, they’ll just end up gassed in the end. It was just a terrible start overall, and if they had played it better early on, they could’ve easily won this game, especially since they were playing at home. Ended up losing my bet here, so tough one for me too.

Last night, Houston beat Indiana 118–114 on the road. Alperen Şengün played very well and was his team’s top scorer. He was definitely the man who won the game for his team. He finished with 39 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Truly incredible numbers. He wasn’t selected for the All-Star , but he is an All-Star for us. I hope he keeps it up like this.

An underrated player for sure. Everyone keeps looking at Durant as the best player on the team, but honestly Alperen has been the most consistent one. The way he puts up those numbers, especially in scoring and rebounding, just shows how hard he works, and you can really say he’s an all-around player. No Durant, no problem for this team. Way to go, Alperen.

And now with Durant out, it's obvious that Alperen will take over this game and so that's what he did. Forget about the All-Star, there have been a lot of snubs in the past. But this player shows and proved that they should belong to the All-Star by playing hard and consistent.
