I am not 100% sure about this, however I may or may not have been told by a credible source, that if you take a picture of your computer screen of you being logged into your forum account, with a piece of paper with today's date on it, that the chances of you becoming legendary might go up.

I'm just curious on how many hero's, legendary, etc.   If we could get number of all ranks that would be awesome just not sure if easy way or if this is a lot of work to get a breakdown of it.

Currently, according to the forum search (at this current time), there are this many of each rank:

Newbie - 158,492 (30*5283+2, source)
Jr. Member - 14,121 (30*470+21, source)
Member - 40,382 (30*1346+2, source)
Sr. Member - 4,612 (30*153+22, source)
Hero Member - 2,317 (30*77+7, source)
Legendary - 503 (30*16+23, source)

Total members with at least 1 post - 220,427
Total members with 0 posts - 448,864

You should probably look at the number of legendary accounts as a percentage of total accounts. That number is probably decreasing, given the rate at which new accounts are being created.

so, I think top rank accounts the percentage of the active participants, increased .

Just what are the advantages of becoming a Hero by the way?
I'm currently a SR. Member and soon will be a Hero and then Legendary. I'd like to achieve that as well. The only advantage I see for now is the signature campaign fee would be much than how much i got as of now.

None other than better sig campaign pay as you said. If you were a short termer, which I assume you wouldn't be had you struggled to hero status, then your account would be worth more to sell.

I agree with this as you see everyday you will see brand new accounts created just to spam the board with those links that are not in anyway related to Bitcoin, after the thread is deleted account is abandoned. Same with accounts that are tagged with negative feedback and will be useless since it cannot join signature camapains anymore. Those will be abandoned as well by the user and moat likely look at the marketplace to buy a ranked up account.

Few more weeks to go and I guess i'll be included in the waiting list to be Legendary.

The longer it takes for you to achieve something, the sweeter your eventual reward will be. Another attempt of me to become Legendary has again not lead to the highest member level (beside staff and higher of course). But then again, you are much further than me with your activity. I only hope I don't have to wait that long.

No, not really , but if you go back a few pages, I hit it around the same number you did... As shorena posted early on, it's a weird/strange algo..

Same i just hit 700 activity so could be looking at that legendary badge not to far into the future.

Wonder if there will ever be another higher rank release.
