I'm not spending actively my bitcoins because I'm trying to save it before the halving happens.
Hoping to get some profit from it.

Trying to spend in a active way is not possible every time, also the availability is also low. The way you choosed to make profit on halving is the best of all.

That is the main reason I don't spend my bitcoins.too, there is so few places I can spend it, and too few items to choose from. But someday it may be spendable everywhere with any kind of items. Hopefully.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Previously I was spending bitcoins lot before in buying gadgets through online, and make ticket in cheapair by using bitcoins and to recharge my number with bitrefill.com. But nowadays I am not using bitcoin at all in any purchase. Because I know after halving bitcoin to reach a big value. But fiat will not reach like that better we use fiat itself according to my knowledge.

I already spent a lot on Steam games before Steam accept Bitcoin. :p. I'd recommend you to check out Key4co.in for some cheap (and legit) Steam game key. And ... yes ... I think that we should stop buying games and start saving some Bitcoin. Who knows? Bitcoin price could double by end of 2016. Smiley.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

I think that's the best decision, especially if you have funds in fiat and other currencies as you noticed it will be a lot better to use it instead of using Bitcoins, because holding the coins can be profitable for the long run.

It is yours and you can do whenever or whatever you want from it. That is really the good thing about this currency. "IT IS YOURS" That is why I am loving it. No one can look at your account. Unlike those banks.

I spend it on sports bets here and there but nothing major. I was looking to buy some things from ebay type website that accepted bitcoin but refrained from doing that once I heard that the halving is happening soon.

Grin Something stopped you. But I think that is still far and you could some to buy what you want for now. I dont really know when will it happen and I still use my coins for the time being for necessities.

Spend it when you need money, don't just keep on holding as you never know what will be the price of bitcoin tomorrow, I sold few of my coins last week when price was $460+.

price will climb up in next couple of months so you can sell it, but I do spend my bitcoins actively, for online purchases or for paying my bills, as I want that its useless to keep bitcoins idle, it should be used in the best possible way.

I hope everyone feels the same as you feel, as majority  of people are holding their coins without spending it and that will led to decline in the value of bitcoin in long run.

I'm also not spending a lot of bitcoins these days because I'm very sure that the bitcoin is going to a high amount so spending right now is just not smart at all in my opinion.
