I've re-worked the google authenticator setup so it should be a bit harder to lock yourself out now.

If you don't already have 2FA enabled on your account, this is a great opportunity to turn it on, save a bit on your trades, and test things for us, all in one go.  Wink

Cheers.

Hey I have a small problem,

A few days ago I decided to withdraw a few bitcoins from my account on BTCT to another wallet. I noted address BTCT used to send the bitcoins and then went about my day. Then today, I decided to deposit more bitcoins from this other wallet back into my BTCT account, so I used the address BTCT used to send the bitcoins as the address that I sent my bitcoins to in order to deposit.

Apparently, this does not work as the bitcoins havnt been recorded even after 66 confirmations.

Is there any way you could help me on this? I know that I was foolish in not using my assigned deposit address but still you guys should have control over the address from which you sent (and therefor received) the bitcoins from, right?

Edit: The related info on transaction IDs and such were sent in a support ticket from my BTCT account (Blueblarflubar)

Ugh, yeah, don't do that.

Can you do me a favor and PM me that info as well?  I don't seem to have received the support request.

Cheers.

Hi Burnside - I was wondering if you could help me with a support request for BTCT. I've recently changed phones, and foolishly I've lost the Google 2 Auth ID for my account, so I'm now locked out of my BTCT account. I sent you a PM regarding this, but not sure if it's got to you.

Anyway you could help me out with this? I can't raise a support request via BTCT as it says I need to log in to do this.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

How long should it take to get the 3 confirmations for a transfer in?

I'd like to make a trade - but I am waiting...

Edit:  There we go!  2 confirms...  I was getting tired.  Didn't think I would make it.

Hi Burnside,
Thanks for the response - and apologies for hijacking this thread for support, but I haven't received an email yet. I've just re-sent a PM to yourself with my hotmail email address. Hopefully you can reply to this and I can get back trading!

Hi Burnside,

Sorry for posting in this thread but I haven't received a response from the normal support request that i made late last week.

For some reason the "withdraw to" btc address that is associated with my account does not exist in any of my wallets. I am unable to update this address as well as it seems that it is locked.

Can you please let me know what I need to do in order to get this field updated to a valid withdraw address?

Thank you,
bitcoinmike

I just signed up and started using the site today. I have to give a big thanks to the team behind the creation of this site - it's fast, and easy to use, unlike a lot of the sites in the crypto-currency universe. Here's to the future!

Was my fault.

Did have a question though.  In My Value Analysis, total paid column does that include btctc fees?

Hello,

I registered an account on your site and did not receive an email confirmation.
Of course I checked my email spam folder ;-)
I did work at an Internet service Provider in the past.
I know what I am doing.

I changed the email address to another one. Same problem.

I had to use a third email address with a very relaxed spam filter configuration to receive an email
from your site.

But - it would be very easy for you to fix this problem. Let me explain what happens:

Your system sends out email from a server with the IP address "71.6.131.81" and this server
identifies itself as "cari.aspadmin.net".

The problem is that there is no reverse-mapping (IP-Adresse -> hostname) for that IP address.

$ host 71.6.131.81
Host 81.131.6.71.in-addr.arpa. not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

You really should setup a reverse mapping (let your internet service provider do this)
that points 71.6.131.81 to cari.aspadmin.net.

Without this reverse mapping there is a very high chance that most email servers (where you try to send mails to)
will reject the incoming TCP connection before even listening to any SMTP traffic.
A wrong reverse mapping (for example server-xx.cari.aspadmin.net) will work for most email servers as well.
But it's better to setup the correct reverse mapping of course.

Please fell free to contact me if you have any questions about this.

Update:
You can not find anything about this problem in a SPAM folder.
The email servers reject the incoming TCP session without a reverse mapping.
The server does not even see the start of the SMTP session and so does not know which
email address is (should be) used.

Ralf

Will work for BTC and DEM (eMark)   No joke!   Network, WiFi, IPv6

This sounds like good advice. I suspect this maybe what's happening to me.

So far, I still cannot log back in to my account. It's been roughly a week now. I know that it was my fault by changing mobile phones and losing the 2 Auth key, but didn't expect to wait a week for the Auth to be disabled on my account. I know that you're immensely busy running the site, but could you look into this please Burnside - already missed 2 good opportunities to make money on share prices.... Tongue

I really enjoy the Android Widget but it seems to freeze every day or so.

It could also be a bit smaller, a 4x4 area is needed for just one stock.

When I did it, it was instant. It doesn't say anywhere that you account withdraw has been "doubled." It just is.
As of today, if you can withdraw over 4 BTC then your account has been doubled.

Also remember, you can always withdraw as much as you like, but if you go over the manual limit, Burnside just has to approve it. That's all.

Note too it's only if you have 2FA on transactions, not just logins.

Cheers.
