Has any stake coin ever worked ? Cant remember a single one that is anything of value today

Wonder why they never work out  Tongue

I see all you Dash cultists are getting rather antsy, I wonder why....

why would I get antsy, you created a POS coin, I wish you the best of luck with that   Kiss

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Seems like it is working out to me. There have been plenty of POW coins that haven't worked out too.
POS is better for long-term energy efficiency sustainability. Put all the money your would pour into mining equipment into buying more coins, and you help raise the value of your prior investment. Coins don't wear out, like any mining gear will. And you can always resell if if you want, but but mining gear depreciates. The coins are the miners

Hmmmm, what could your motivations possibly be?  What ever could it mean that your recent post history consists almost entirely of pumping DASH and running CCB/FUD in the PIVX ANN thread.

You're a scared DASH owner.

I get it.

You should be.

You might want to consider...variations of pos

ethereum is aiming at pos variation - hence eth classic will follow im sure

nem i think is a variation of  pos.

steem was but failed because mostly it was an instamined scam like dash and has been dumped hard.

I think variations of pos will in future take the lead.

I don't think pos or pow is a big factor to success or fail. Unless you know more than VB, SK, Rat4 and larimers. These are some of the best coders and designers in this field.

Cheap price doesn't necessarily mean bad technology. I hold a position in MINT because I think that is the best of those you mentioned and the tech works. PIVX has features I like too so I diversify a bit. But I think longer term the pow coins will all die. The only reason they are higher priced is because they are older more trusted tech. But that can change.

@The Crypto Baron
yeah, just noticed how many newbee accounts are posting here. like yours, that should not raise any red flags. eh
was trying to get to the actual newbs that dont know about these scams, hate to see people fall for them over and over
What ever I said what I wanted to say. Curious to know if this thread is moderated.

I can also post your history, Only in PIVX ?

Just like you "said what you wanted to say" FUDing it a week ago (see post history link)... and yet here you are, "saying what you want to say" again, coincidentally after DASH loses $150m in cap.  What are the odds?!?!

And I have a youtube show that talks about a lot more than PIVX, so try again (and while I have a strict no FUDing policy, your posts and obvious DASH history and motivations are definitely tempting me to feature the DASH premine scam in an episode soon). I DO love this project and community though.

I mean, if you want to cherry-pick names, you can find successes and failures for every algorithm out there. For example, NXT, NAV, BlackCoin, etc. are all PoS and are doing fine. Ethereum, the #2 market cap, is planning to switch to PoS. And if you really want to play this game, literally hundreds of PoW coins have died in the past few years--does that somehow invalidate all PoW coins (like BTC...)? And of course PIVX isn't solely PoS; it was PoW + masternodes, and is now PoS + masternodes. In that sense, it is a hybrid in the vein of DECRED, Peercoin, or DASH.

It's the Devs and the community that make a coin succeed or fail, not the algorithm alone. PIVX is fortunate to have a large, active, supportive, and rational community. I know you're just trolling, which is fine, but please at least put some facts behind your FUD. Constructive criticism and carefully considered ideas to improve are always welcome; 'alternative facts' less so.

Is effort being made to add PIVX to Poloniex?  It certainly has the trading volume & community to hang with the others.  I do see comments in the Trollbox but I'm not sure whether there has been communication b/n PIVX & Polo.  I myself have put in a coin request for it through their form, but I would imagine it falls on deaf ears.

Also, i saw it mentioned that you need 101 confirmations before you start minting (if I read that correctly) - where can I see how many confirmations I've made?

Double click on the transaction and it should say something like "Status: 4254 confirmations"

First of all, welcome.

Secondly, maybe your wallet hasn't synched yet?  Hit up the slack and I'm sure someone in the PIVX community can help you better than I can: slack.pivx.org

you also maybe need to confirm  the wd (check your mail if your 2fa is disabled)
and you should see the tx id at the wd section on bittrex if the wd is confirmed. you can check the tx id via block explorer
