Hello,

Does this coin have infinite scalability? I need to know this.
What I am talking about is ability to scale to billions of transactions per day?

Yes. This coin will be able to handle an infinite number of transactions per day. That is equivalent to an infinite number of transactions per nanosecond. Luckily we have the best engineers working on this project so infinite transaction is no problemo.

Even VISA cannot handle infinite number of transactions. How PivX is going to handle any reasonably high number of transactions? No size limit on blocks? Lightning network?

If PivX has the best engineers, why did it fork Dash rather than create their protocol from scratch? If Dash is smart enough they can use ideas from PivX to implement their own instant transactions and scalable blockchain.

Anyway PivX looks promising, but it raised 100 times since January and 20 times in the last month. I don't think that it's cheap anymore.

Dash devs are shady. We do not want to associate dash premine denial with perfect pivx. Pivx does not have premine which makes it fair for users.

Sad Sad Anyone else sick of trying to join signature campaigns and being denied after you have worn their signature for a week? Sad Sad

I've just followed the tutorial to start the masternode on a raspberry PI
I have a raspberry pi zero W and transferred 10000PIVX to the masternode. When I start ./pivxd then i get "Illegal instruction".  Can someone please help how I can setup my masternode properly?

It seems like the wait is over. PIVX is close to their all time high price. I'll hold until I get some profit.
I hope we'll see a new jump to over 100k this time.

i agree with this, no premine is huge in crypto, otherwise its just a big cash cow.

The developers of DASH are working on something called evolution which is supposed to make it a lot easier for people to use it. So easy that people can use it without waiting for an eternity to download the entire blockchain or even need to know what a blockchain or a masternode is. So easy that ordinary people(non geeks) can use it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7erSqaRRnw

Does anyone know if someone is working on something like evolution for PIVX? With that I think PIVX could become number one(if they also change the name).

PIVX already changed their name (was Darknet [DNET]) so a name change is not in the cards. The devs are well aware of DASH's plans and the need for ease of use. I do not think there are current plans since their are bugs to be worked out of the wallet and a libzerocoin protocol to install first.

Ease of use, with a better GUI interface are known priorities but not at the top at the moment. This coin is only a year old while DASH has been around awhile longer. PIVX is way ahead in development for it's age but some things still have to wait.

Good news!

PIVX has now been added to Coinomi wallet. (an electrum based open source mobile wallet)
It's a secure anonymous mobile wallet that supports BTC, ETH, DASH, PIVX etc all at once.
Android version only for now. IOS version is coming soon.

Currently I'm staking PIV on my desktop pc with my 'PIVX Core - Wallet'.
Planning now to run 2 masternodes (MN1 + MN2) with 1 VPS hoster on 2 different IPs, while 'controlling' via my local desktop pc 'PIVX Core - Wallet'.
In the case that I will stop running MN1 in the future:

1. How do I stop running MN1 on my VPS hoster and delete MN1 from my 'PIVX Core - Wallet'?
3. How do I get the 10k back that I've send to my MN1 address at the beginning of the MN1 setup?
3. Can I use this 10k normally on my wallet then again, and sell or stake it normally like before?

Thanks a lot in advanced for your tips and advice!

1. From the VPS, stop the MN1 pivxd (wallet). Then from controller wallet on your PC, close it. delete the MN1 line from masternode.conf and restart the wallet.
2. Once you've done the above, your 10K will become unlocked as its transaction id is no longer configured for a masternode in masternode.conf.
3. Yes. It'll become immediately available for use.

FYI - if you need to transfer that 10K asap, you can even manually unlock it via coin control - enabled in options - to bypass step 1. (then do step 1 to clean up the leftover config)

Yes, if you mean DarkNet, not DarkCoin. Or install the new wallet and paste in your old wallet.dat.

If you mean DarkCoin, then wrong thread =)

Welcome. This information plus a lot else is available in the OP here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262920.0

...and even more info is available on the official PIVX website here:

If you're interested in masternodes, both of the above plus:

About 53,000,000 in circulation. It is limited to 15 coins per minute at the moment, but in a couple months be limited to 5 per minute from then on.
