I hope your brother will slowly understand the potential of bitcoin system very soon as the he has more close bitcoiners to see in real life how bitcoin benefits its users. Usually I do not wait for anyone to show them and make them to adopt bitcoin. The good thing is, I have convinced all my close friends to adopt bitcoin already.

Unfortunately, only a few people around me who know bitcoin. they do not really believe in online payment system like bitcoin. huft

Well that is a major issue with people, they don't want to try something new as they always feel that they will loose their money and prefer to continue with credit card and fiat currency.

I agree that some people has little or no trust at all in something new because they think that its just a scam. When they heard something that someone is making money through this and that they will think that later on they will lose their money because its a big scam. This is also the effect of their previous experience or with their family and friends investing in an online site and they have bad experience with it plus the one they see and heard in the news which are not good at all. So for me, I will only introduce bitcoin to someone if I'm already earning enough that I can show them that bitcoin is not a scam at all. They just have to be open minded about it.

Many of them can understand the superficial concepts and functions of bitcoin, and they can see that's something legit, but with regard to the more technical details regarding blockchain technology, few understand what's behind it.

well in my place, India, very few people know the existence Crypto currencies. Most people say it is illegal. Some say it is not steady. And some never understood the concept of decentralized financial system.

As per my observation in my locality who knows about bitcoin, they are actually scared because it is not controlled by any. Well I say, it is the beauty of bitcoin but mostly people from this society scared of something which is not centralized/controlled by single body.

To be honest, no one in my friend circle or relatives are aware of bitcoin and they have no idea what is it all about. I am trying my best to explain them how bitcoin is going to change the way of our day to day financial transactions but most of them keep themselves limited to just being aware of this technology. I want everyone around me (especially business merchants) should be using bitcoin along with fiat.

most of them don't know anything about BTC even with me nagging them, but I do have a friend who is into Alt-currencies mining and he is making pretty good cash mining Ethereum at the moment. I may get myself a couple of AMD cards to mine some myself but I am worried about the noise and heat etc...

When i told about bitcoin to my girlfriend she was like why bitcoin is superior to our paypal, paypal is easy to shop with and also with credit card we can shop anywhere and asked me why bitcoin can replace them. I showed her how we can use bitcoin anonymously as well as without restrictions in amount we can store, use daily and security feature it have with which nobody other than the real owner of bitcoin address can't use those bitcoins, low fees to almost thousands of USD worth transaction , than finally she also started searching about bitcoin.

I find it really frustrating talking about bitcoin and cryptocurrency with people in general.  Some have heard about it on the popular media but they still get confused when I explain how it works to them.  When I start talking about the possibilities, the future potentials, and the direction peer to peer networking is taking, they look at me like I am crazy....and it's even worse when I talk about Ethereum.  I don't think that the general public has the same vision as we do here.

One of the important differences compared to stocks is that with Bitcoin you actually own something with value that you can cut into pieces and send it to whatever place on earth. That's not possible with stocks. It makes Bitcoin superior in that aspect.

People in my area knows that I stay at home and just go to school when I have to. They think that I'm some "fortunate" dude that only plays games on his PC 24/7. They didn't know that I'm actually earning Bitcoins. When I say to my friends that I'm earning Bitcoins and show them what I'm doing, they just don't get it.

They can't understand what I'm doing but I don't want to lecture each and everyone that asks me about it. They all say that I might get scammed, though. Poor people, the only thing they can do is hate things that they don't know.

I have already got to tell about 5 people around it till now, 3 of them did not grow so much interest and weren't that interested in exchanging money and currencies overall, One had known about it from the darkweb media so it wasn't easy to tell him it's not bad itself, One became a bitcoiner few months later. No one else knows about it till now I think.

Before the clarification, most of them do not know about blockchain technology, but when they understand that is made for a good purpose, the reaction is positive.

So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

So not so positive Undecided. I hope that you aren't in the same situation.
They Think that Bitcoin is Not a Real Currency If They Invest Their Money in Bitcoin then they Will Lose Their Money and Also They Don't Want that I Use Bitcoin But I Tell Them One Day Bitcoin Will Be the Future Currency......
So I Think that People Around Me Don't Know Much About Bitcoin and If I Tell Someone about Bitcoin Then He Didn't Understand What I am Asking to Him.....
