The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

There are over 32,000 merchants who signed up for the program. In how far they are in full compliance with the KYC requirements I cannot check, as this program forms no part of the LEOCoin Foundation. I guess there may be a few reasons, why the program seems to be delayed, but it is certainly an issue, as one of the main reasons to have LEOcoins, is the possibility that you can spend them. So, I hope that over the course of the next couple of months, the merchant program will be activated. But, again, it is not our own project, so someone else needs to do the work.

Majority of those merchants dont even know what cryptocurrency is or how it works. Most joined because of rewards and promised profits and the opportunity was free. So there you have it... Database of people who said yes to idea that was never delivered... Everything LEO is now, seems like an empty book with shiny fancy covers.

Not sure it was a mistake... It was there strategy to get that number... It's just another hook to lure people in.. You can listen hours of stories on how LEO is the next best thing, how big community it is, how many merchants already support LEOcoin, how some day, LEOcoin will be worth more than bitcoin, how there learning platform is best life changing trend... Reality is a bit different. You can buy/sell LEOcoin on one crap unresponsive exchange, you can lease mining rig that will pay out less than if you make rig yourself and you can buy "spiritual guidance" to build MLM. Did I missed something?

Your right, on some level, but i do know some of those merchants, and they were more then willing to start "working" in LeoCoins, but as said before, POS never came....it was promised, to several people, several times, but as you can see, still no POS. And again, your right, giving coins to people for nothing, doesnt seem right. As Friky Frik said; alot of good and old friendships were put on a test, all due to LEO promising things that never came.

.... merchants, and they were more then willing to start "working" in LeoCoins, but as said before, POS never came..
But they don't need a POS to work with LeoCoins as a merchant ! They could just say that they accept Leocoins and a potential customers makes a Leocoin transfer to their wallet. So that is already possible today !?

Thats true, but when are your told LEO POS is coming and it will make your "transfers" easy and fast (alot of this merc are older people, with little or no knowledge in cryto, wallets etc) i would guess they just waited till they forgot And yes, it is possible, dont know why it wouldnt be. but mercs are not biting, from the looks of it.

I though that on of the advantages to use Leocoin and LeoXchange (compared to my bank) are the almost non-existing fees ? They say on LeoXchange: 0% Commission No commission or transaction fees on purchases. Small commission on sales.

@Peter78, As said before, and what is factually be the case, LEOcoin Foundation CIC and Learning Enterprises Organisation Ltd. are two legal entities. One is a Limted, the other a community interest company (CIC). As Dan Anderson is the Chairman of the LEOcoin Foundation it is fully normal that he has reserved the Domain.

Hi,
I very much like the idea of a non-for-profit LeoCoin Foundation.
But I am still unsure of what is exactly behind/in it ....
For example, could you tell us a little bit more about the "Annual LEOcoin Foundation conference" ?
When will it be ? Where ?

Peter78, there are no transaction fees on purchases and indeed a small commision of 1% on sales, which is similar to e.g. the LEObit Exchange. So in fact the statement on the LEOxChange website is fully accurate. I will see if I can get a statement regarding the withdrawal fee from the management of the LEOxChange. The withdrawal fee is not a commision on trading, but a fee that is due when a member of the LEOxChange withdraws currency from the LEOxChange and if this withdrawal is in fiat-currency from international bank to international bank, indeed bank costs will arise.

@Peter78 As you could have read, the Annual LEOcoin Foundation conference is a meeting for members/supporters of the LEOcoin Foundation. Those concerned will receive an invitation.

@LeoCoin Foundation a community interest company (CIC)
So Leocoin Foundation is a private, limited CIC ? Now that is useful information and helps to build trust towards the community.
