Yes in my eyes betting on sport is gambling, and its in my eyes also officially connected to it due to the fact that you need luck and you are betting on something and on what does not matter in my eyes.
Its all about luck with gambling and if you are betting its gambling and this is no matter what...
For me also, when you bet or gamble is same because without luck you cannot win any type of game or bet. Sites are not stupid to offer odds on a event and hence you need the luck to win it. Yup in both method we need luck, I agree. But in sports betting our skill also set work. And our prediction will be right many times. Only sometimes if we get any unexpected result, we lose our chance, or else this is money making method. I made some decent amount in sports betting. I dont think that skill is really needed on sport betting because what you really do on sport betting is just to place a bet and predict the future so if you are not good on prediction you can try to gather so many information out there just to increase you prediction rate so that you will sure have higher winning chance on your bet. And i admit it that sport betting is sure profitable thing but still you need luck too in every gambling games including sport betting |

i think yes there is no doubt about this. i think every game in which winning and losing involve then it is called gambling. so there are a lot of people who are doing gambling on sports. i personally do gambling on sports it is rather easy than any other gambling games.

Sports betting in my opinion is gambling. Gambling is risking an amount of money on the outcome of an event. That event can be a roll of the dice, a combination on a slot machine, a random selection of numbers in a lottery, the weather, a hand of blackjack, a hand of poker, the winner of a race and yes, the outcome of a sporting match and anything that occurs within it.
Basically, anything in which risking money or capital is a gamble. This would also include investing/trading is also gambling in my opinion.

You can let the odds be in your favor which is not possible at most gambling games.

me too i don't see any difference between the two i think it is just the same betting in sport is part of a gambling risking your money is the main point here so anything that there's a laxury of losing or winning can consider as gambling hoping for luck to win or gain,.

Legally, sports betting won't be considered gambling because either party have equal chance, and they both know the team they are betting. So basically the percentage of winning is determine more by their analytic skills on which team will win. |

For many of us mortals it is gambling and that's how the sites/companies make money, however there are some few genius individuals gifted with incredible math skills that make a living betting on certain sports (Baseball is a clear example). I saw this guy recently on FanDuel who was a scientist and resigned from his job to become a full time pro "gambler". If Fanduel and those type of fantasy games are actual gambling that's another discussion for another time.
