Someone correct me if I am wrong.

90 second block time.
30 coins per block to begin with. (10% to sustain development)
15 .. in the next year
12.5 after that year ...
Total of 21 Million coins ..

Are the above numbers correct?

For fucks sake .. somebody please answer the question

You could actually read the thread and use the Decred forums to find the answers to the questions yourself rather than repeatedly demanding others to do it for you.

Here, I'll be nice and help you help yourself:

66% needed for consensus.
66% = consensus Huh

BTW: Are you "Sam", the "Office Manager" of Company 0?

No i am just a community member and not related to c0 in any way. I read it somewhere that devs want to reduce voting win % to 66% because with requirement of 95% + bitcoin is having hard time going anywhere. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks! 66% sounds ridiculously low because a 66% majority is far from consensus...

I'd be interested in a link to that "66%" source. Thanks!
I can totally agree with sambiohazard on this one. Higher consensus would just make harder to the community to get  Decred anywhere.

The hope is for testnet to fire up this week. That will be accompanied by miner binaries for Linux/Windows and miner specifications.

Decred could've easily stated that they'll do their best to make sure that folks aren't gaming the system via participation in the airdrop for a limited 5,000 participants. But, Decred opted to up the ante after being approached with how the system could easily be gamed (by me - NO OTHERS to date), whereupon they responded with having layers of defense mechanisms in place to ward off said gaming. It was after such exchange, of which was after most have already applied for the airdrop, thus freeing up their personnel to conduct a more fuller investigatory process on my scammy ass, that I signed up to test their layers, passing with flying colors, opting to sign up over a dozen more times. supplying Decred with ONLY newly created email addresses, with all that I've checked also passing muster, each having a unique "Confirmation link" within, in essence gaming the system in the same way I warned Decred about in which they offered up how the concern is moot given...

You ignored this post by me soon after your initial concerns. I offered to investigate for you and help you. You ignored my request to look into it, but the offer still stands. I did this a day after the airdrop closed when there was still a mountain of work to get through. I'm going to be straight with you Gleb, there is no time for games. If you want to be constructive, I am your friend and I will help you make the system better, but if you don't want to work together, there is nothing that can be done. You are welcome here, as always, and people will work with you, but you must be reasonable and engage requests when the hand is extended to you - you cannot ignore such acts.

and this is why I back these guys. Well put _ingsoc

The way the Decred team has communicated speaks volumes about the project!

They have the complete package and are a class act imHo !

I can totally agree with sambiohazard on this one. Higher consensus would just make harder to the community to get  Decred anywhere.

Lower majorities would just make it easier to split the community... There is no such thing as "Higher consensus". There is "consensus", and there is "no consensus". 95% is very close to consensus. 66% is far from consensus...

Modifications to the consensus rules are supposed to be difficult. Bitcoin is not a democracy, in which a numerical majority can make decisions that are binding on the whole group because every individual user can use whatever validation rules he wants. Bitcoin is a consensus because unanimous agreement among users is required for it to operate. Therefore, in order to switch the whole economy to new consensus rules nearly everyone has to agree on a change.

Anyone have a link to that "66%" source? Thanks!

Can i not give a fuck about the vetting process
so what if people got multiple times
it just means cheaper decred at the exchanges for us
why you people complain so much ??

Because this is Bitcointalk and this is the internet.

Complain about all the things!   Angry
There are 2 kind of people around here. Those who complain and those who complain about complainers.

There are 2 kind of people around here.  Those who divide the people into two groups, and those who do not.

The distribution gave a seed, hex, and an extended public key. Do we only need the seed to claim our coins, or do we need the hex and extended public key too? I might have made a mistake copying the hex and extended public key but they didn't seem as important as the seed.

You're right, you only need a seed in order to claim your coins and nothing else needed.

Just make a search for block subsidy, you will get your answer. its around 31.xx decred for starting and there is a smooth reduction formula you will also find all that in your search.
