DCR wallet has been broken on Yobit for weeks, have sent multiple tickets and they still haven't fixed it. does anyone know this dude who can get him to spend the 30 minutes to fix the wallet?

I never used Yobit, but what i've heard there has never been working Dcr-withdrawal in Yobit.

Price was like double 2 weeks ago, what happened?

Bad news or just a casual pump and now the usual afterdumping?

I agree. Solo staking is like running to work when you could drive/bike instead.  You can eliminate the hassle quite easily if you stake with a pool.

If good prices for tickets are available and demand is low then yes, because you can pay the default fee of 0.01 dcr per kb.

But when that is not the case and you end up having to pay for example 1 dcr fee per kb, that translates to a little over 0.5 final cost per pool ticket whereas solo it would be 0.3 dcr for the same ticket.

To solo mine you need to pay a VPS that can down and you lose all your mining that is incomplete.
Latency is also directly related to missed tickets.
The pools have several servers, there is no down risk

Yobit is a scam exchange with a lot of scam coins.
There isn't problem with Decred wallet. They are lying.
They belong to a pump & dumper group.
They want everyone to drop decred on their buy orders.

Another ticket missed with my server up and running

This is needlessly complex to hide the fact that you are just locking up the money supply to prevent dumping and force users to host nodes with a chance that you might get a tiny reward

I gave it another month, but it has failed me again

On to other things with more of a chance for basic user adoption, not just people in the crypto scene

This is the first coin that beat me from a technical and complexity aspect

I just cant see how this could gain popularity with the general population

Moving along defeated and distrought

Are you using cmdline? Are you sure, that you have --enablestakemining and wallet is unlocked?

Yes it was unlocked and stakemining

Just sent my remaining balance to the exchange so on a positive note I can get out on a bit of an upside

I do love this community and the coin concept, I just will sleep easier without the hassle

If you change your mind, i'm sure you get help with technical problems in forum or slack. Or optionally use stakepool, when pool does voting and no need  to run wallet 24/7.

I agree. Solo staking is like running to work when you could drive/bike instead.  You can eliminate the hassle quite easily if you stake with a pool.

Sure, you could go the centralized stake pool route (take the bus to work)

Something about being able to run a less centralized setup that appeals to me though (work at home)

It did not work as well for me compared to other POS coins so the effort turned out to be more of a science experiment

Its just not for me, but I know others are doing very well with this setup

Hi guys!

If anyone of you is on poswallet.com, I would like to draw your attentiont that there is a vote for Decred to be listed on the site. If it will be listed, it can be staked and later when their exchange will be availible, than exchanged as well.

Now is a very good price for medium-term investment in Decred. Price jumps this weekend came as a surprise to many, providing a good opportunity to enter in the Decred market.

I understand that this is working fine for normal POS coins, but how it should work with decred? As decred needs you to buy tickets which you can't by using poswallet.com. Anyhow, I will follow this topic to see how they achive it.
Since I'm fine solo staking, I will not move anything. Besides this, by solo staking, I even contribute a node to the network.

And decred has already similar feature for it's users which I would prefer compared to any third-party tool.

In protest towards a single PoW pool continuously operating at > 50% of the nethash, I'm switching to votebits 0 for now.
Kindly ask that some PoW miners consider switching to a smaller pool.

The problem is that ocminer has the pool source and hasn't release it to the public.  If we could convince him to do this, we could have more even hashrate distribution.  I reached out to him about this a few days ago but have not gotten a response.  If others feel inclined to plead for his mercy, please do so.

I think myself and a few others might join you on your protest.  Between us, we have 1000's of tickets.

Maybe I missed some point you were making there dbt1033, but suprnova is one of the smaller PoW pools at the moment, has mostly been well under 15%. Coinmine.pl on the other hand, has usually well over 60% (checking right this instant, dcrstats shows it having 75% of the nethash). There's at least some 7 PoW pools for people to spread out their hashes already, so I don't think that the pool sources are missing generally speaking...

I do appreciate any joiners to this protest though!  Wink Kiss

Not mining ATM, but when I get home I'll buy some tickets on stakepool.eu

hey i want to leave this i can not face more problems which are in the way.
