If anything should have to change to Decred then it should use it's voting system that is built in. Coin is solid, the market is just down at the moment

Good topic. The forum has already written 500 pages. Soon, and 1000 will show. Well done

"an innovative hybrid proof-of-work (PoW) / proof-of-stake (PoS)". Really? What kind of technological innovation are we talking about? In inventing a new name for this hybrid

Is Decred planning to fork with the ASICS coming out
Sia-Tech (August 2018)
Bitmain (likely July Pre-Order)
Just saying, not sure how the devs handle such
Baikal N does a mess of other GPU coins coming out and there is a 'groundswell' to all FORK and turn them into doorstops before shipping
Was just wondering about Decred as an aside
thanks
Brad
In their last YouTube presentation, the Decred team mentioned they were aware of a few companies preparing to launch ASICs for Decred and welcome ASICs. They also mentioned they are prepared for any shenanigans from the ASIC manufacturers. Sounds like they will modify the Decredition platform to allow stakeholders to NOT approve empty blocks or something along those lines. Good and competent move. I'm glad that the team does not sit still, but puts forward new ideas. A serious and hard - working attitude of developers will only make people more willing to get closer to the project, a promising project.

So many news and events this year, looking at the road map, we should see a strong increase, is not it? I see the enormous potential of Decred.

thanks for posting. I read this on it: "In Bitcoin, transactions are traceable. In 2018, Decred wants to introduce a proposal for a unique privacy feature that will allow users to send untraceable payments". So, there will be no way to know if and when i will send some decred to someelse? I don't know all of this privacy will be a great idea or a dangerous..

I think they will implement it in such a way that it is optional to send it privately or not.

It is a good coin but my profit is too damn high for now not to sell. (got my ASICs) I might buy back after the full transition to ASICs and when the difficulty starts to level the playing field. For now its screaming to sell only tho.

It would be insane to do otherwise. Even coins specializing in privacy give you a choice to send openly.

Well, anyway, thinking better, i say that is better have this option than to not have it.

When creating the transaction, users can choose to make the transaction a completely private one.
