A similar thing would need to happen if we launched Ethereum as an embedded ledger on top of Decred....."

In the latest updates of Decrediton became possible the automatic purchase, but unfortunately you can not close the wallet. You must always leave it open.
Works better for people who use VPS.

I disagree. If you're waiting for the lower ticket prices, your potential ROI is dropping every day, because your capital simply isn't working. So if you wait long enough, your ROI is gonna be lower, than if you used a standard auto rebuy strategy. The average ticket voting time is around 28 days and one can hardly call Decred an actively traded cryptocurrency, so, basically, you can wait for a couple of months before that high market volatility that you wish for finally strikes and you're finally able to get the tickets at a low price. In the meantime, the one using auto rebuy strategy buys new tickets regularly and in two months period, most likely almost all of them vote twice. Actually, you can check it out for yourself by setting up two separate DCR wallets, applying two different buying strategies to them. You'll see which one performs better.

If Decred goes down, lower price mean more Decreds can be bought, more Decreds bought mean more tickets can be purchased. Higher price would mean less Decreds can be bought, it's also time to take profit from the investment, and it would also mean declining purchase of tickets.

Tell me what's wrong in that logic.

Maybe that's why.

Is OKCoin as big, and strong as they were before China began its "ban" on exchanges? I believe the Chinese people have a lot of excess income, but have no, or only a limited way of putting that into Bitcoin and good altcoins.
