Yes some altcoins are. But most are not recommend to invest in. Do research on your own to find good investments.
I would recommend NEM and Ethereum.
Yes, I agree with you about ethereum. Ethereum is a good coin to make an investment, you can invest with ethereum because they have a lot of platform and fast development. |

NEO & Matchpool is on my watch list Its hard to tell whether matchpool has the potential right now. It used to be $0.40 during its start but gradually dip even after the released the alpha version. It probably is going to be a money maker if they make the final product soon. Are they busy on their main thread? |

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
And why you want to invest in over 100 coins, diversifying your funds is a good strategy but to think there are one hundred coins worth investing is a mistake I think that at best there are something like 20 coins worth investing, invest on them and you will be fine in the long term. |

Agreed. A method is to make some statistics on the number of times a coin is mentioned... It gives you an idea on the number of supporters. See also "who" promotes what and weight their inouts. I hold some BAY, and I am glad to see that this coin has so many supporters. Same here l ve been holding quite a while and loading since 50sats ,never given up on David . Bay def is the most undervalued coin out there with a fully functioning client 10k coming. |

It is Iconomi, and they have two coins: ICN and BLX. You can buy ICN on Kraken but BLX can be purchased only on ICONOMI website. BLX is a market index that is made out of a diversified investment by Iconomi company. My BLX investment has returned 20% profit since 2 weeks ago and I just invested in ICN to see how that one goes. Both ICN and BLX are ERC20 tokens so you can safe guard them in your Ethereum wallet e.g. MyEtherWallet. I suggest you make research and decide for yourself aince everyone of us has different perspective and measurement of what is best investment when regards to investing on altcoins. In my opinion Eth and neo would still deserve looking at.

In the first place, everything is hard to tell whether some of the alts will soon pumped. It's quite easy to say that a certain coin has potential since no one knows what will happened later on. Positive speculations is one the factor that's why we see a coin has potential providing they have a good roadmap since it's always like that. Now the challenged is to face the risk. Buy coins at what you think is cheap then play with the market. |

I guess OP should already know that regardless of the suggestions left here by other users, He would still have to do an in depth research and due diligence based on the suggestions made here. I also consider your opinion valid due to the fact that NEO & ETH are both top projects currently available in the Blockchain space. |

Lately I have seen developments in some coins, such as; Monaco, ripple, litecoin, bitcoin cash.

I'm in Monero, Dash, and Eth at the moment, along with the usual BTC & BCH. But Im pretty conservative.
I think it's always good to have a diversified portfolio especially as the space matures and prices track eachother less. That said, diversifying can kind of erase some of the upside potential of a crypto-portfolio. As far as strategies and composition, that's hard to say with any real certainty. Maybe check out how people like TaaS are building their 'crypto-hedgefund' or how traunches on Mellonport are coming together. Or, if you come up with a good strategy yourself set up your own?

Anybody looking at Stratis or IOTA , i think both have a bright future in the crypto currency market, 1-3 year outlook i think they can really strive in the market.... Also for ICO start ups i like the project in my signature , done a lot of research on the whitepaper and future outlook it looks solid, invested some myself... of course ICO start ups can be a crapshoot but you do some research and tread lightly it could work out big

A tip would be to not follow the market but anticipate the market: look for the coming upside:
The reason I think QTUM is about to take off is as follows (a few of the reasons)
1. Interview of QTUM team on CCTV, will create awareness (Chinese news channel equivalent to CNN)
2. Will have a WeChat or QQ integration, WeChat's mini-programs will allow users to transact using QTUM and also avail its service by paying through QTUM
3. Number of DApps built on QTUM > number of DApps built on NEO
4. Rumoured they have wanxiang group as advisors, two 100 billion remninbi investor backing
5. Possible Asian Exchange listing around the corner
