BTC is dropping so many maybe thinking of buying it but I would say go for Ethereum because its price is reduced too and if you ask me ETH has better chance of going up again than BTC at this moment

ethereum is a good option to buy right now as the price is drop than before. beside ethereum, i think btcd is a good option too and like ethereum, the price is down too. but no matter what is the coin, i think only us will know what is we want to buy and as long as we can search the best coin, we will make profit in the end.

I have transferred all my assets to Ethereum because keeping Bitcoin is extremely dangerous when we do not know exactly how the August event took place. I think using Ethereum would be better for investing and doing business and avoiding more risk

Having all your money in one asset is dangerous too, bitcoin might soar in August, you might be forced to rebuy with higher price.

Yes keeping all your money in one asset is not safe, your bad ETh goes down what will you do. So keeping money in altcoins is a good way to increase our money but keep your money in different assets. We have many fast growing altcoins in the market you can put your money in that coins. But I trust on bitcoins so that I will keep my half of money in bitcoins and next half in altcoins. 

Diversifying your investment is very important even if you only invest on altcoins market. I have different altcoins on my portfolio for long term holding and I am not worried with what is happening now because I know the market dump is just temporary.

The top altcoins are worth buying, they are eth, litecoins, and xem and a lot more.

Ethereum price goes back to $12 level and might continue to go up in the coming days.

agree with you. I think the price will rise to $17 in the next few weeks and didn't close the possibility of going down

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Actually this is the truth that every coin has a future , may be that can be for the few days or months but this is truth that many coins are such that they can easily make anyone millionaire .
I am not saying anything that is fake or like to open or promotion and coin , but this is many own experience in the trading .
When in the starting I started my trading job then many of the dead coins were available at the yobit.net exchange but time to time I found that weekly atleast one of the dead coin get rise by price to 100-200 times .
So here don't think that a particular coin is shit but you should have patience and buy the dead coin for the long term ( may be 4-5 months ) and make money about many times payout .
Here the best and current example of the HTC coin that turned my 0.01btc into 0.14 btc which is like miracle .

The best way is to really study closely the top alts. These are the potential ones. Most likely the top alts are the reliable and solid ones. Aside from bitcoin, I would suggest ETH of course. It comes second always. ETC, LTC, XRP, SC,  andWaves are some of the alts I am trusting and banking on for some decent growth in a year or two from now.

Market is in a bloodbath and is currently unstable. Honestly I felt excited and happy as I can buy more. This month and August will be buying opportunity. Before I had a bucket list  of around 90 altcoins that I want to track buy and hold. I dumped nearly all of them last month. Now I am still confused which coins are to be picked as I am planning to hold maximum of 20 altcoins so I can easily follow them.

This past weekend was the perfect opportunity to buy cheap cryptocurrencies to preserve your profits when prices rise again like they're doing so now. However, while prices are beginning to rise, they could fall down again, making a wild volatility effect that may only stabilize after August 1st.

There is too much uncertanity on the markets, for Bitcoin's price in the future, as the proposed scalable solution might succeed or fail. Since the majority of the crypto market follows Bitcoin's price movements, they could all decline in value if the pioneer cryptocurrency fails and even splits into two different cryptocurrencies.

That is why, before August arrives, you could buy and sell cryptocurrencies quickly to preserve your profits whenever you can in case of a downfall that could make you lose your investment if proper decisions were not taken. But, if all goes well, Bitcoin and the whole crypto market will experience a boost in price, making it a profitable journey for those who have invested into them earlier. Just my opinion
