I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
Bitcoin is not the only coin to invest in, there are other ones like LITECOIN and ETHEREUM. There are more you can go into; but you just have to understand the rise and fall in value CHART.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

For edgeless 20k support works realy good. Whenever it goes under 20k , support comes and recovers it.

Try doing some research dude.It might help you a lot regarding your trust to the different altcoins. You'd better find some altcoins that is worth investing and you'll need to look at its history.
Most of the time knowing the opinions of more people helps to form a better opinion, but invariably as well mentions to do some research further would be the most convenient in most cases, those two things are more likely to succeed and could help to decrease risk.

Actually it depends on your research on altcoin, every altcoin has its own advantages and disadvantages. Do not immediately judge the pesky coins if you do not quite understand ,, for me a good place to invest is ethereum

There are many Altcoin which I really think have a great future not everything is crap here. There are many coins which are not worth to invest for a long term but there are many also in which we can earn great reward in future because some coin have really good development team and they really have a good future plan and I am sure they will be worth good in future. Like SIA Coin, DGB, ETC, ETH, DASH, and many more are there also.

If you are a credited investor you can invest in Filecoin in few days which will fuel IPFS - one of the best projects with already live use cases, check it out.

Always select those coins who are on the top of the marketcap they will give you a good long-term investment. Just carefully research those other alt-coins you wanted to buy and look for the trusted people who gives a good rep. There are too many promising alt-coins out there, but carefully choose those who have a good team and devs team with a hard working team.

DCR looks to be super undervalued. Can you explain why you feel it is undervalued? Genuinly curious. Thanks.

Solaris Coin (XLR) . Active dev, webwallet and new website coming soon, looking to implement Masternodes. The community is still growing. And the best part is: it's a low cap. Enough potential from all sides to grow in the future.

There is no definite answer to your question as everyone has different ideas on what makes a good investment. All i can say is to do research and invest in coins in which you see potential, remember just because a coin is feature rich does not mean that it will succeed NXT being a prime example. Personally i am invested heavily in bitcoin, litecoin, peercoin and dogecoin as these tend to follow each other when BTC price increases. They are also some of the oldest altcoins around and have considerable staying power. They are also all in the top ten at coinmarketcap.
Apart from those i am also invested in primecoin, foldingcoin and namecoin. Namecoin and primecoin have great potential if they can be developed further. Foldingcoin uses pow mining to find cures for diseases so my investment in that is more of a donation to miners. I was also invested in dash at one time but after a lot of scam accusations against the devs and my own research i decided to sell as it might be a scam, it's price over the last 3 months has also tanked 40% and that further contributed to my decision to dump dash.
All in all do your research, buy coins, put them away and hope the price goes up. It's all or nothing in the crypto game.
I agree to the point that if you want to know what is the alternative coin that is worth to buy you need to do research and invest a lot of time for you to educate yourself on the trend of the specific coin you want to trade on. But I also see that the success of ones trading is not really dependent on the coin you will going to trade because all coin have the capabilities to dump or to pump so for you to earn or to have a good trading you'll need to learn and have a proper way of trading in term of buying, holding and selling for trading purposes.

Market is in a bloodbath and is currently unstable. Honestly I felt excited and happy as I can buy more. This month and August will be buying opportunity. Before I had a bucket list of around 90 altcoins that I want to track buy and hold. I dumped nearly all of them last month. Now I am still confused which coins are to be picked as I am planning to hold maximum of 20 altcoins so I can easily follow them.
This past weekend was the perfect opportunity to buy cheap cryptocurrencies to preserve your profits when prices rise again like they're doing so now. However, while prices are beginning to rise, they could fall down again, making a wild volatility effect that may only stabilize after August 1st. There is too much uncertanity on the markets, for Bitcoin's price in the future, as the proposed scalable solution might succeed or fail. Since the majority of the crypto market follows Bitcoin's price movements, they could all decline in value if the pioneer cryptocurrency fails and even splits into two different cryptocurrencies. That is why, before August arrives, you could buy and sell cryptocurrencies quickly to preserve your profits whenever you can in case of a downfall that could make you lose your investment if proper decisions were not taken. But, if all goes well, Bitcoin and the whole crypto market will experience a boost in price, making it a profitable journey for those who have invested into them earlier. Just my opinion The question is who has the guts to go nuying BTC even if you know that what youve worked for in years might dissapear in an instant. No risks = no treasure. This is a matter of having a courage to go into a sinking ship that will either go to the buttom of the sea or roam the seas for eternity. Well I have a faith that BTC will go bloom cause the miners wont implement these changes if theyre not sure if this will end well. God Bless this community.

ETH or Ethereum altcoin . This altcoin got some potential for investment why? Because it is 2nd ranking Cryptocurrency in Coinmarketcap and also this Altcoin got a better and faster system than BTC as of now. There is even news that this coin is said to be potentially able to compete with BTC in the near future (but all of this is just news as the market graph of this coin shows it really is rising strong but due to some news of some hackers able to hack this system results to its drawback but only base to its potential it is one of the best altcoin there is , it just need some adjustments based on my point of view though).
