I remember last year we also have chance to dump Dogecoin he had a major pump and dump ..
So i think this is periodical - yearly pump. I don't know maybe you can predict this and earn some money but for me it's long to wait this!

He just should pick up some pretty well developed coin, with high community support. Decred will be released this week and I'm planning to buy myself into it

It is always risky to invest in altcoin.

a better idea is to take advantage of the altcoin market and invest in good altcoins and earn more bitcoin by trading them.

you can't just let your bitcoin sit ideally by not doing anything with them.

Doge is a joke of a coin but I agree that it's good for speculation and a range around 60 is a good buy in my opinion if you are willing to hold until the next pump.

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Depends on what you mean regarding "potential".

If by "potential" you mean things like plain $$$-value, than any altcoin is as good to gamble upon.
If by "potential" you also mean intrinsic value, I would recommend Gulden.

I think if I look back within the last weeks Decred have done everything right. It started just with a press release mid of December and now it’s getting really huge, with a very good media coverage, a big community with a lot of veterans and a very smooth and professional start today. I think buying Decred could make sense, it’s probably one of the strongest Alts 2016 and I’m confident we will get into the top 10 of the coin market cap.
