I think there are only a certain amount of real crypto devs that code at the core level and they spawn many coins. They wait for others to come up the food chain, supporting what they started. Most people really cannot either start or tolerate what happens when you start something. I see nothing wrong with Devs acting anonymously and starting new projects. As long as the code is on github that's all that matters.
I could give two fucks whether or not freetrade has another project. The project I care about is this one the one I am invested in. I wish him the best of luck. If you want you investment worth anything you need a person who cares and works to make it better. Like i said I am tired of waiting around. Freetrade has left the building. We need A takeover. There I said it again. I have no loyalty to any Dev that doesn't work, doesn't up date the thread. Last time i checked i saw something in July on Gethub. Not good enough. Im done. I wish Freetrade the best the rest of us are wasting time. Fish

HI freetrade, https://smartcash.cc/what-is-smartcash/it looks like somebody has build on the HODL-idea (rewards) and extended it to fund the dev. maybe sth. to consider for HODL

So I checked back in only to find that the dev FreeTrade has still not responded to anyone in the community.
To answer everybody who is asking if the coin is dead the answer is no.
As I said before and this still rings true... if the dev chooses to drop this coin I will pick it up and do what I can to get it moving again.
I'm heading over to github right now and cloning the code so I have it on hand just in case.
I think the coin is solid and has some good features but it needs a community focused website and a strong marketing push.
Any questions or comments... I'd love to hear them!

Add parameter -t 2 to your hodlminer.exe.

I tried these nodes from https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/HODL . Wallet in now syncing ok. Go to console (Help -> Debug Window -> Console) and type or copy paste addnode 188.109.2.125 add addnode 24.234.68.222 add addnode 27.50.93.254 add addnode 178.193.245.141 add addnode 5.69.215.143 add addnode 213.41.21.106 add addnode 136.243.93.203 add addnode 203.205.120.234 add addnode 178.203.232.30 add addnode 185.18.148.163 add addnode 178.27.91.246 add addnode 91.121.78.94 add addnode 109.227.229.179 add addnode 212.49.103.42 add addnode 109.227.229.179 add addnode 86.88.34.22 add

I'm sort of new to hOdl and I'm trying to mine on two different computers, however each time I start hodlminer.exe it crashes! Anyone able to to assist me with this matter? Or provide me with links to working miners? Thanks

Do you use one of them? http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/hodl-miner/I have tried those. I was actually mining about 3 months ago with no problem. When tried to start mining again yesterday, none of my previously miners that was setup was working. So I went to http://hodl.optiminer.pl/ to ensure my .bat file was setup correctly; however, it still didn't work. When I updated my hodlminer.exe it started crashing them. I then tried minerd.exe (cpuminer), it would run but would not mine. So after that I signed up on hodl.suprnova.cc, but still will not mine. I'm not sure setup my batch file correctly, or the my systems are just not mining. BATCH FILE: hodlminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://hodl.optiminer.pl:5555 -u myAddr -p x 2nd FILE minerd.exe -o stratum+tcp://hodl.suprnova.cc:4693 -u Quad06.Quad06 -p passw0rd

So what happened to the network? The block explorer says last block was 1900 minutes ago. My wallet suddenly has no connections. Anybody know what's up?

Maybe the coins nodes have been taken off line let me check into that and see what I can find out. EDIT:Apparently the node that the Fuzzbawls explorer was pointed at is no longer available for some reason. You should still be able to synchronize your wallet. Do you know how to add nodes manually using the configuration file? If not just let me know. Use these nodes and see if you can get synchronized: 136.243.93.203 37.187.27.4 46.4.64.68 37.120.189.15 5.9.58.233

I have problems with my wallet. Start up takes very long time and when the wallet is idle it utilizes 25 % of my CPU. One thread is maxed out. I don't know why Hodlecoin wallet takes so much CPU time.
