I'm using Uray's miner for Windows but it keeps crashing every now and then, what would be the best alternative?  Huh
Luxe's miner is pretty much the best one you can get. It is able to do both CPU and GPU mining and has been extremely stable for me. http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/topic/24/burstcoin-jminer-v0-4-2-gpu-assisted-poc-miner-all-platforms/1.

If you want to mine with multiple accounts on the same computer you should use blade's miner. http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/topic/64/blago-s-burst-miner-v1-160610-win/1 It is extremely stable and included in the windows miner.

Edit: Both are included in the windows miner. I would choose jminer for speed or Blago's miner for stability (Because it is older). They are both fast and stable, so what you pick doesn't really matter.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll check those out. I only have plots for one account so will probably use Luxe's miner.

Yes, if your cpu supports Open CL then it should work as far as I'm aware of. You just have to point the properties file at the correct Open CL platform and device. On my system (win 10 pro x64) Platform 0 is CPU, Platform 1 is GPU. Device 0 and 1 of Platform 1 are my two gpu's, Device 0 and 1 of Platform 0 are my cpu (detects as 4690k, 4 "computing units" (cores)) and my onboard gpu (detects an Intel HD 4600, 20 "computing units"). If i use any platform and device, the miner works. Cpu, onboard graphics, and both gpu's respectively. If you could, dump your properties files and we can help you out.

After using the pause command on the bat file it was telling me that Java couldn't be run as x64bit but that's weird since my OS is 64bit, I changed it to 32 and it seems to be working now.

To fix this, simply download the 64 bit version of Java, it seems you don't have that installed.

I think most the pools are on the new wallet! My pool is for sure http://burstpool.ddns.net:8080/
Ninja is also on new wallet so must be other issue.

Hi all Burst veterans!

I am new to Burst - the whole "mine with your free HDD capacity" thing caught my eye :-)

What amount of Burst would one expect to be able to mine (per day) with a 1TB drive. I use 1 TB just as a bench-mark, I would of course try and get as many TB's as possible if it looks profitable.

I also see that there are custom assets on the Burst exchange? This looks interesting - I guess I can buy these assets with the Burst I mine?

I will be mining on Windows 10. I have downloaded the wallet, installed and have it all set up. I am also currently downloading the blockchain file. Tonight I will start setting up everything and plotting a test drive or two.

I was just wondering what I could expect as a normal return on (say) a 1TB drive.

Thanks for any help Cheesy

According to the calculator, which can be found here, http://burstcoin.biz/calculator, you would earn 224 BURST per TB. Naturally, YMMV greatly. I usually earned a bit more than predicted by the calculator.

BURST has a lot to offer, check it all out Smiley

edit - ninja is up running on another wallet while we fix the other one, we have a potential fix and/or at least something that will give the devs more info on the overall issue, that will be put into the wallets as soon as it is available. I believe it should be done by later today if not early tomorrow.

Ninja is back up and running now though.

We are aware of the issues, I suggest moving to another pool, it seems ninja is having the most issues.

The main issue though, is in the wallet, and we're having the core devs fix it, growing pains from switching to multi-threaded.

We're aware of it, for now, switch pools is my suggestion, it seems the wallet issue is more prevalent when on a large pool for some reason.

pool.burst-team.us is setup almost identical to ninja, and it seems to be running just fine, we're currently rebuilding the db on ninja's wallet, but the main issue is an issue in the wallet, which is also being fixed, just need a little time to do it.

apologies for the inconvenience, we're doing all we can.

DEV v2 pool still on 1.2.3?

dev pool is likely to never be changed again, and will no longer be able to be used, since no one has heard from the original BURST developer in over 1.5 years.

My suggestion would be to forget about dev pool, and move over to a different pool. pool.burstcoin.biz and pool.burstmining.club could use some extra hashpower.

Please do NOT move to ninja, we're in the process of rebuilding the db on ninja's wallet, and fixing some issues in the wallet that are allowing for the forking issues we're seeing now.

I'm aware that it is annoying, trust me, we've spent over a million coins from our own pockets to make sure the pools pay out even if they hit blocks on forks. So we're pretty set on getting this fixed as soon as possible.

Hi there.

If you post your question in the plotting and mining section of the main Burst forum, you are more likely to get help from more people and faster. Here is a link for you: http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/category/8/mining-plotting.

If you keep running into problems with mining and plotting, I recommend using daWallet's AIO wallet client, which is nice and easy to use (includes plotter and miner). You find it here: http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/topic/16/burst-client-for-windows-v0-3-3-all-in-one-wallet-plotting-mining.

If you are running Windows, make sure you update Java and Internet Explorer. That could resolve your problem. Let me know if it doesn't.

I'm having some trouble configuring Luxe's miner, does it work even if I don't have a GPU?

Yeah I kinda figured that was the problem, 32bit version is working fine though. Would 64bit be faster?
