I dont think so. Many people need some normal banks too. And that is very important for them.
I hope of course that Bitcoin will be more popular and more used. But it will only reduce banks and not disappear.
Not only them, all of us... we need banks and fiat in our daily lives to purchase physical goods, foods and anything in the store..If bitcoin would be widely adopted around the world then there is a big chance that it will play major role in the economy, but it won't make banks disappear.. The Bitcoin will make banks more profitable as it will cost the cost and save money. So the banks will adopt bitcoin when it is allowed to do so by the authorities. |

NO. people need bank to store their money and earn interest from it.and bank play important role to person and economy of a country. i think we might have bank for bitcoin someday to regulate it and also for security. i guess. because of anonymity of bitcoin we really need a bank.

No I do not see this happen, the banks are already to big these days and have a lot of people that are dependent from it, the most people will not make the change to the bitcoin also.
I think if the bitcoin has a better name in the future there is maybe a very small chance it will.

Bitcoins won't make banks disappear in a short or long go. You can see more people having a good life with different types of loans provided by bank. When Bitcoin provides such features bank might get replaced slowly.

Simple answer is no, it cannot.
As it stands banks don't see Bitcoin as a threat simply because the technology is still very very far from being able to provide a global solution that rivals their own system in terms of stability and dependability. Why would anyone want Bitcoin to make banks disappear anyway? Bitcoin is not perfect, both Bitcoin and banks have their advantages and disadvantages, it would be a lot more beneficial to everyone if the two coexisted or even merged.
You are right banks cannot get disappeared due to Bitcoins. I don't know why peoples are comparing these two because they do not have any similarities. Both of them are different but I like your suggestion that if Bitcoins merge with banks then it would be very beneficial because now a days people prefer Bitcoins rather than paper cash in their hand. |

They are two completely different things. Even if Bitcoin completely replaced national fiat there would still be a need for banks.

That will never happen, banks will never be lost and bitcoin could not make it disappear. It is impossible for many people who use the bank and a country must have required to have a bank to manage finances. |

Banks won't disappear unless someone starts offering Bitcoin loans with no interest rates and as we can see from this forum Bitcoin is a heaven for scammers and frauds.

Where the hell do you get that information? Yes quiet more people are using bitcoin but I believe the majority of that people are not into banks at first. They are not using banks at all. If all people that using banks will transfer to bitcoin then your statement will fit but it's impossible. Banks will never dissapeared just bitcoin of bitcoin. Face the reality and don't just be blinded by other's unrealistic statement. |

But bitcoins can themselves have their own bank and the tax saving feature would be able to attract a lot of customers. When bitcoins get more popularity, the importance of banks may diminish over time. However, if the Government takes the control then bitcoins would be a bigger problem for customers compared to fiat. It would not make banks disappear though as people will always prefer to own fiat along with bitcoins. People are using bitcoins only because its decentralized, if the government will take control over it in future, then it will loose all its value and shine, and people would not bother to use bitcoins. Not really ,I don't use bitcoin only because people cannot seize my coins or take it from me saying any bullshit but also because of less fees and ease to transfer money.The governments cannot take control over it anyways. I just can't find any reason it would do so.
