Is there any information available about how best to distribute your votes? So is it better to vote for one delgate, 10 delegates or the maximum amount? How is your total "vote power" distributed if you vote for multiple delegates?

We can pay for Slack. Let's say $10 for 1 member. For every member we can invite 5 guests as far as I remember. That means for our 1000 users we need to have 200 paid users and pay about $2000 a month.

That's still something you can afford, but yes I'd agree that this money is better spent somewhere else.

Well, would be nice for someone to put together decentralized slack as a DApp.

Oh wait - what about tox?

Lisk is still only like 1% of its potential. What we do with slack once we have 5000 or 20000 users? Also we would always have to buy new user accounts there, this is micro managing with no result.

Our current chat is working great and is VERY actively developed. No reason to change it.

Probably I read... but I think first day buy bonus is different from others bonuses, anyway is ok

No. As we mentioned the 200k are taken from Oliver and my funds. We will distribute these later.


Bonuses (15%, 10%, 5%) will be included right at launch.

It's not obbligatory to validate the ico address with the passphrase.

I have seen earlier in this thread the analogy between Lisk and Ethereum comparing them to Betamax and VHS. The 2 reasons VHS won the battle was, first the smaller less known reason was when you rewound the tape to the beginning, the Betamax head did not pull-way from the tape, so over time the heads (4pins) would ware down quicker than the VHS.

But the main reason VHS won in the end was that they had more films on their format, so more choice.

 I can see Lisk having more Dapps.

Your voting power is not split between the delegates you vote for.  Every delegate you vote for gets your full number of votes.  So you might as well vote for 101 if you have that many that you trust / like.

It's not obbligatory to validate the ico address with the passphrase.

Its not obligatory indeed but its repeatedly quoted that low validation percentage may cause delaying the launch.

"One vote equals 0.00000001 LISK, and a user can only vote with his entire LISK balance. One vote costs the user 1 LISK and he can vote for 33 delegates in one go"

So does this mean if you have a balance of say 10,000 LISK you can vote 10,000 times? 1 LISK = 1 VOTE?

Concerning Lisk Chat, Public Testnet and Generated Keys

The community has explained very well the deficiencies of a Slack channel. We will not be moving to Slack as our in house chat application provides our needs in communicating effectively with the community. Come join us! We are very active in out chat. We hope you understand

The public testnet has been opened, so you may now test out your delegates. These past few days have been very instructive as the community has gone far and beyond in testing the public testnet. We highly appreciate those who are actively participating in the testing process. Thank you For those who have not participated but may still be interested, you can read this simple guide to help you set up the delegate and begin forging.

Furthermore, Oliver has provided me with updated numbers to generate keys and validations. Here is the report:
