"One vote equals 0.00000001 LISK, and a user can only vote with his entire LISK balance. One vote costs the user 1 LISK and he can vote for 33 delegates in one go"

So does this mean if you have a balance of say 10,000 LISK you can vote 10,000 times? 1 LISK = 1 VOTE?

1 lisk = 33 votes

10'000 lisk = 330000 votes

it's just math.

You cant vote for the same delegate twice with a single account. So the most votes you can give one delegate is 33 with one account.  If you were to create 10,000 accounts with 1 lisk balance. You can give a specific delegate 330,000 votes.
is that correct?

yes, please call me when you've finished creating those 10k account with 1 lisk, oh you should consider the fee you will spend sending 1 lisk 10k times....

Im not saying i will do it . But isn't it possible to rig the delegate selecting with this method

But is is really no-sense , with only 10k lisk of vote power are you sure to be 1 of the 101 delegate ?
if you create 10k account with one lisk, you can vote the same person only 10k times not 330k times. with a total weight of 10k lisk, so just like you're voting him once from a 10k lisk wallet.
With 10k account with 1 lisk each you can vote 330k DIFFERENT delegate. Not 330k to a specific delegate. You need 330k address if you want to that.

All what matters is HOW MUCH lisk you have in the account you vote with and spend the 1 lisk.

When you receive votes from 7500 accounts with 10 lisk inside is the same as someone with 75k account is voting for you.

And it makes no sense to vote for more as one delegate, if you vote for a pool. Only good if you are voting for friends node and he is voting for you back

but ethereum has already a javascript client  Huh

so whats is the advantage of this?

Please provide a link to information about a JavaScript client in Ethereum.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/04/01/microsoft-adds-ethereum-solidity-dapp-visual-studio/

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

The word javascript does not even appear in that article.

Visual Studio IS NOT Javascript

moving on to my next query, whats the approximate validations statistics?

Did the majority of investors validate their addresses? can we expect no delays?

It's not obbligatory to validate the ico address with the passphrase.

Its not obligatory indeed but its repeatedly quoted that low validation percentage may cause delaying the launch.

Don't  mix up passphrase creation and passphrase validation. The first one is required and is the quoted thing that can delay launch, the second one is just a means to verify whether or not the passphrases you saved are the right ones. The second one is completely voluntary and has no impact on the launch date.

@bigcabrito: I suspect that a lot of the not-yet-created passphrases aren't, because they belong to accounts with multiple transactions and some people might not understand that they need a key for every single transation (although this has been made abundantly clear). Do you have any way of looking into that?

You can see a lot of similarities between a Duck and a Chicken but that does not mean they are the same thing.

eth itself does not support javascript coding, unlike lisk that does.

Solidity is almost the same as javascript. The difficulty is to understand how ethereum works and how to program as in which language. Solidity wants to be a certain standard for smart contracts

Interesting that they created a custom language for contracts with Solidity. But Solidity will be running on Servers, where as Javascript can run on either servers and/or the client side.
I do wonder if there is a big advantage in Javascript. I mean yeah, there are many coders than can just jump in, but of course a good coder can learn a simple contract language quickly.
That said, I think there are going to be more in the way of app potential, at least early on, with Javascript, as it is nothing new and is a powerful programming language.

I also wonder if having solidity running on the servers might come back and bite Ethereum as they are going to go to a POS system and I wonder if they will lose a bit of hashing power???

i think solidity was a good decission, because so they have also the development of their smart contract language in their own hands. They can perform by that an advantage over their competitors running a standard language. Even now solidity and javascript are making almost the same, in the future they can change that however they want.

Installing Lisk means you need software from at least 5 other companies. Thats not just a security issue. See npm registry backdoors. Ethereums technology is in-house. Therefor you have the value, reflected in the coins growth. Not speaking about Dapps with value of millions and support from tech companies. Eth became a black swan. Lisk seems is a playground for people missed the eth train and hoping now for a miracle. But miracles dont exists. Its like waiting for Litecoin catching up with BTC. Pricedrop from $50 to $1,3. That was a lesson and history repeats. I would not be surpriced Lisk catching up with Crypti market cap. Where are the Dapps?

Well, I'm here and even though I didn't get in on ETH ICO, I didn't miss the ETH boat.  I'm also not missing the Lisk Boat either.  Page 2 of the image is all buys of cheap ETH.

Yeah, I am sure LISK is a bit for those who missed Ether, but VHS was for those who missed... What was the name of the better tech again? lol. Anything can happen. Just as Ethereum might turn into a black Swann (way too soon to say) so might LISK, etc.

Regarding Dapps, I don't think that is the sell on these technologies. That is the result of companies and people seeing the value in the product. This is totally different than people speculating on Crypto (only). Now, you have companies who are going to be using this tech, but probably not on a large scale anytime soon - so still some speculation. I do think the money that came into ETH was from bigger pockets though.

This space is just waiting to explode. We are still a teeny little Niche. Can you imagine once mainstream (even in small part) gets going?
We have yet to hit our internet bubble, so to speak.

Yes, we are in the process of recompiling the information to begin e-mailing those who have partially generated their keys. This would include also include those accounts who have not generated their keys at all.

God I want to bet on this (against you)... I think there is such little chance of what you are expecting. Lisk "eating ETH alive" would mean what? 1 billion market cap and ethereum dropping BEHIND LISK?

If so, I'm willing to bet large sums of BTC against you on time frames as long as 24 months.

Only way I see this happening is if Ethereum has some fatal bug and it implodes. But, I don't see LISK catching up to Eth up there and passing it. If Lisk were to reach 900+ million and Ethereum dropped behind LISK I would pay out. No one will take that bet. Period.

The only thing eth has is organized bagholders and much much hyp, why wouldnt lisk or ANY coin be able to do that? I mean eth marketcap is way more artificial than any other crypto market.
